I have never said it is acceptable. I have said we are a work in progress and things will improve given some time and with some fine tuning.
You have an affinity for Nigel Clough. Did people expect him to have everything figured out in 08-09 or 09-10? The frustrations only really started to kick in the following season when we slumped from 4th to 19th and lost to Crawley in the FA Cup.
Warne has only just had his first proper transfer window and his first proper attempt at bringing in his own players. He has had 11 competitive games with his own group, a group which has also been heavily hit by injuries.
We have won 5 and lost 4 and we are still very much in touching distance of the top 6.
If we win the next two v Blackpool and Cheltenham, we are right back in the pack of top 6 contenders alongside Bolton, Barnsley and Peterborough where you would expect us to be.
Is it really appalling? For someone who has watched us for 50 plus years, it is a strong statement to make.
Can you specifically point out what exactly you think will improve and how it will happen?

Some refereeing luck again to not give at least one penalty away today.
Probably have 4 points more than they deserve at home already, luckily for Cooper otherwise the big fat Greek might be twitching

Liam Rosenior at Hull too 😁
Especially considering it is his first managerial job

Absolutely spot on.
On a related note (I considered a new thread for this) how did we end up 11 days after Lincoln with Sibley looking like a bit-part-at-best player and Wilson only worth 5 minutes? I get it that Lincoln played a weak team, and Nyambe has come in since then, but surely Sibbo and Wilson have been worth at least a few more minutes and in the positions they played well during that game? (In Sibley's case, after he switched to his preferred central position).
Thought it was absolutely crazy how we ended up when Washington and Sibley came on yesterday.
Washington as a 9, Collins as a sort of 10 and Sibley on the wing. Surely Washington on the left, Sibley 10 and Collins staying where he was makes so much more sense?

The decision by the club will come as a surprise to some, but supporters have become increasingly frustrated by poor performances at home - despite some encouraging displays away.
Is this about Clough or Warne?

Theres a suggestion thats unfashionable & probably unpopular. Done a good job most places he has been (apart from his last job) done a better job at some clubs than he's given credit for & available. That's Steve Bruce the elephant man 🤣
To be honest i actually think we have a good enough squad & dont see anything wrong with the attitude we are Derby County & too big for the division. We should be demanding more. I think most managers out there could do better with the squad available to them
Yes it’s nothing to do with “we are Derby and we should smash every team.” I would be absolutely amazed if our budget was not top 6 and I would be very surprised if it wasn’t top 3. It’s certainly a hell of a lot bigger than Cambridge’s who our manager was at pains to point out are in a similar position in the table to us.
I do think at some point things might click so I’m not fully in a position that he should be sacked yet but the arguments for keeping him are wearing thin and based almost entirely on things that might happen or that he’ll be too expensive to let go of which are hardly ringing endorsements.

Tbh I also thought we played well and on another day we could have won the game 3 or 4 to nil.
The stand out chance was Waghorn’s header in the 2nd half. He managed to put it wide when it seemed easier to score. Barkhuisen also had a great chance in the 1st half, plus Collins header in the 2nd half.
I for one feel much more encouraged by today’s performance than any other home game this season.
The fact it was much better than any other home game this season is damning in itself

Maybe, I guess we will see what Clowes’ view is in the coming days and weeks.
It seems to me fans are desperately craving a managerial change to the point where any sense of perspective is lost.
We all would love to see picture perfect performances and results, but the reality is that it will still be the same group of players until January who have yet to implement any plan particularly well.
We go direct? It’s too chaotic. We keep possession? It’s too slow. We have the ball? In control but no spark. We don’t have the ball? Pathetic.
What’s to say the new manager will do better? What’s to say the new manager won’t have teething problems?
If the argument to keep him is that it might be worse then there really is no argument at all.

Far more worrying than the result and performance is that he thought we played well.
I think if you asked Cambridge’s manager or centre backs how they would ideally like us to play I doubt they’d have even thought it possible we could be that accommodating

Does the Hull keeper play 30 yards off his line like ours was doing? That was a calamity waiting to happen, even the master tactician that is Steve Cotteril pointed it out his interviews. Maybe LR has changed his ways and realised it was an awful decision. This whole LR love in smacks of injured player syndrome though, somebody with far more time than me will no doubt trudge through all the old posts that were slating LR at the time and bemoaning his style of play as “boring”.
Did Steve Cotterill (or anyone in fact) manage to do anything about it or did they just talk about it?

He's done it relatively well though, but not much support for owt else.
Yeah he’s done ok but it makes little sense to have him on the left and Barks on the right because you’ve then got 3 midfielders who wont break into the box so any crosses are to Collins and maybe the other winger as a maximum

A bit unfair that they make Joe Worrall tow a caravan while he’s playing
-
Reminded me a bit of early Jacob Butterfield. Genuinely two footed and should be played further forward, and hopefully will be when he doesn’t need to play deep out of necessity.
Him or Sibley as a 10 ahead of 2 of Fornah, Smith, Bird and Hourihane is hopefully how the midfield will end up shaping up.

Isn't Fozzy our left back? I must admit I cannot work Warne's formations out. Sibley was a big threat up front, offered more in a few minutes than NML in his 70.
He was until he moved him into the middle of the back 3 for 5 minutes to protect a lead

Warne after the match:
"But to concede one so late on and I've been told it hits Marlon Pack's arm in the build-up which is disappointing. But you can't allow Bishop on his own in the six when you've got three centre-backs on"
Having watched the goal back this morning I find it quite odd that he's more disappointed of Bishop finding himself free in amongst our defence for the equaliser but not at fact that team completely sitting back and allowing the cross in the first place. Smith, Embleton and Barkhuizen's effort for their goal was shocking. When you play the full game with a 4 and then switch to a 5 for no reason for 5 minutes there’s bound to be confusion.
A left back defending the left back area probably stops the cross but we had a forward doing it because of the switch.
Sibley actually moved straight to LWB which might have been alright but he was quickly swapped with Barkhuizen. That’s the Sibley who did very well as a full back when we barely conceded a shot for months on end last season, and the Barkhuizen who played maybe 1-2 games as a LWB last season before Warne realised it was absolutely terrible.
