Or maybe people renewed before Covid-19 took its grip.

Some might even have wanted to support the club financially, even when they suspected they wouldn't be able to attend?

Yep, was happy to sign up for t.v viewing as a compromise if it’s the best on offer, which Rams T.V is compared to some.

Bitcoin is still expected to go higher in  2021, I have invested in Argo blockchain at 16p just before Xmas hoping it will do better than Bitcoin but if Bitcoin drops Argo will drop like stone.

Hope you and @Angry Ramheld your nerve, some big winners in the blockchain sphere; didn’t do ARB as considered it had bolted, but anything linked to crypto was on steroids.

Caveat to anyone trading, this feels vaguely familiar to the new tech 2000 run up, manage your risk in them and be careful out there.

What's the best way to get in to this sort of thing to play around with a couple of hundred or whatever to start with? Isa wrapper or some other platform.

ISA wrapper is long term for capital growth (see obvious choices covered by this D.M article, loathed to put them up but it does cover options quite simply https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/diyinvesting/article-1718291/Pick-best-cheapest-investment-Isa-platform.html )

Or you might want to consider trading for longer term pension growth via a S.I.P.P be it shares or funds.

There are many ways and platforms out there. Just have fun with google and get used to the phrase D.Y.O.R as it’s a cop out for anyone and everyone offering advice.

I used to have a couple of Share ISAS, then some Silly Billy convinced me we'd all be eating tinned food from garden bunkers long before now, so closed them and now the money sits doing nothing under the mattress, along with the gold I converted them to.

I have been looking to reopen a share ISA, so this topic has come at a decent time, but with no charges or fees I can't see a catch, and if you can't see the catch I'm not inclined to invest, if something looks too good to be true it normally is.

There will be a crash at some point, markets can stay irrational longer than investors stay solvent, those riding the wave can enjoy the profits but always be wary a black swan event can come along anytime.

    This is a good thread.

I'm just waiting for someone to post about a company I've never heard of, in advance of their shares taking off a week later, before I smash my life savings into them.

Hope you was on RevEnergy this time last week.

Yes I’ve watched and looked each week but refrained from commenting on companies, as your posts highlight the danger of words on a bulletin boards. Some day a bad call that has enticed someone to invest or put them off from doing so, will unfortunately be the reason another poster lost a shed load or missed a fortune. When the grapes sour, it’s always someone else’s fault.

Thats not a dig at you Rev, just over the years seen it so many times. Advfn is a cesspit example of this kind of activity

Totally fed up with this. Like when Bobby went

Said what I thought about Martin on other threads so won’t repeat it, but this to me is the same feeling I had when we let  Goddard leave us.

Still wish him well, bloody i just can’t help this bottom of the stomach churning feeling, that this wasn’t the best outcome for us.

Anyhow let’s see who replaces him and hope he doesn’t score against us.

If that’s your view, you’re doing very well to commentate when the action is down the South Stand specifically, so well done.

Mind I’m not going to trust your offside calls until I’ve at least seen a replay from now on ?

Watching Watfud now, that was just what I was thinking. He's so much better than he's being allowed to show.

Funny it’s been mentioned, I’ve just watched my second Watford game in succession. Our Will (because he’s still in our hearts), has been subbed both games and seemed to be running around a lot, without too much impact. It sort of reminded me when he played for us in games we were struggling.

Couldnt make my mind up whether he’s being dragged down by a poor team, tactical set up or maybe pains me to say, he’s gone off the boil a little? Since for the odd decent pass or tackle, a lot seemed to bypass him against Burnley and Southampton.

Only watched both games because of Will and was left a bit disappointed for him.

Anyone like to dabble a bit? I have always liked the thought but it always seemed a balls ache to do. I've now found a simple app that makes this really easy.

Trading 212. I'm hooked now. Just stuck what I could afford to lose in there and it's simple as, no commission either.

Hey Angry, it sure can be real fun but if you want to really take it serious and I mean really, then you need to read, research, read, research and practice or start small. Losing is good, we all lose, it’s how you learn, I’ve made and lost a fortune for me, bad trading decisions but it was an education. In time, you just have to know that you ride your winners and cut losers fast, no emotion.

Share trading has to be cold, hard, without hesitation and right moves should be obvious. Find an investing/trading style to fit your personality, if you don’t you’ll likely lose or never make it pay, maybe get bored etc.

    Good luck fella.

That Zach Parker is a good watch isn't he? Really neat tidy boxer with good varied shots. Works up and and down.

He’s got my interest now Alpha, love to see him get a title shot, hope the club ramp up some P.R for him too, always wears a Ram.

Boxed well throughout and won all but 2 rounds I reckon.

Deserves his chance at Saunders now, if not the vacant belt should Saunders go after bigger fish. Reckon Zach is going to come into prominence after that win.

Didn't he call out a big name the other day? I saw that somewhere I think. Never seen him fight so I'll defo tune in

Me neither mate but watched a few YouTube clips and last couple of fights he punches hard for sure.

    Billy Joe Saunders potentially next.

  12. Big night for a Ram.

Zach Parker taking on Rohan Murdoch on the Quigg v Carroll undercard in Manchester. Parker getting more press, surprised it’s not been mentioned here yet. Hope the lad does well, wears the Ram proudly, more should get behind him.

He’s one of our own. Come on Zach.

Fury was so aggressive today, he wasn't scared of Wilder's power at all. Just kept walking forward, not sure Wilder knew how to handle somebody who wasn't scared of his big shots. I agree with you, I can't see Wilder taking it again, unless he's gambling on just getting a freak shot to take Tyson out, but he didn't manage it in 19 rounds, can't see why he would in the next fight. He should fight Ruiz, or Whyte. Get a name he can beat on there.

AJ taking Fury definitely isn't the wise option, but it's the option we all deserve to see. After all the top contenders ducking each other for years, we might finally get the big one!

Sometimes I get bored with the hype around boxing these days, but I’ve absolutely loved this one, it was so hard to call and the hype added to the intrigue and suspense. Reckon AJ v Fury would be the same, although on that performance, right now, I don’t know who could live with Fury.

A Fury masterclass, he was outrageously brilliant, I’ve just rediscovered my love of heavyweight boxing. Maybe it was the injustice of the first fight, I was rooting for Fury with full on tribalism to put down Wilder. What a showman, would love AJ v Fury, it’s Great Britain that rules the heavyweight division (and Chisora or Whyte rather, in the wings too).

  14. Just throwing this in here, in case it’s of interest to anyone.

Read a really good book “Battle scars” by Jason Fox. It’s essentially a retell of his battle with P.T.S.D. There’s a lot in there about where he found help, all said with humility in my opinion. That some of those professionals contributed to the story, make it more relevant to understand he is now in a far better place, so there is a sort of happy ending; evidenced by all the stuff he does on t.v I guess.

It’s not something that has affected me, so I don’t visit this thread a lot, just thought it was quite insightful and not over romanticising his story to sell a book. It may prove a useful read for others.
