The Red Arrows were at Southport this weekend. I saw them Friday practising. They flew over as I was playing golf. I was gutted that I couldn't get my phone out quick enough to take a picture. One of the lads I was with didn't even see them because he was busy slashing his way out of a bunker.
? they do stuff all over as you can imagine , sometimes a couple in a day when I used to follow their website for the kids; we used to go s different venue each year just to see them.
Today however they were warm up for here...

Don't know about pier 17 but Mora looked interesting. There used to be a nice little pizza place somewhere there but it seems to have gone. Went to christies on Le Pollet as the quality of the nosh looked good, and it was excellent.
Christie’s is quaint, well beats the stuffy St Pierre Park, full of self important people, like Matt Le Tissier yesterday for his golf day.
The missus emptied my wallet down Le Pollet and surrounding streets on other trips mind, so I don’t have such a favourable impression ha.

I didn't eat there as i wasn't really up for thai food having just got off the ferry but i thought i'd have a look.
Best place to eat at night is Pier 17, closely followed by Mora. Neither over pricey i.m.o for the sea cum harbour view.
That terrace is just nice and cheap midday out of the main tourist season and most weekends I expect, plenty of locals in there last week.
p.s really checking the cider festival on Herm ?

I thought Fury was slightly unlucky not to get the decision on Parker.
You’re not alone, think a few others agree too.
People ir critics can debate how mediocre heavyweight boxing is, for me though I think British heavyweights are spoiling us lately on the world stage; whatever the standard.

Hughie Fury bounceback continues. Won’t be long before he is knocking on bigger doors again.
We do seem to have a lot of heavyweight boxers of late.

A bit cruel that don't you think, or did you not mean your own kids?
" Look daddy's been to the fair and he didn't take you"
Mine had just started back school
edit: p.s did take them to a gig before I went they both wanted to see, so I’m not so bad!
