PW has already said, it's in Daj's hands. he produces the goods pre season, he's in. If they think he's not quite ready, he'll go out on loan as part of his development.

I don't think that's what he said, I've read it somewhere though I can't remember his exact words.

Don't you think that maybe the only test of Brown's ability is to play him at the level we're wanting him to play at. I do.

I like sibley as well, but far too many times he’d play well off the bench or get a goal and then follow it with a totally anonymous display.

issue seemed to be when was off it was almost like playing with 10 men. Almost had to be taken off.

He was the only one like that of course - not the experienced players. How was he ever to get better in the position? He’s another victim like Knight and Bird of Warne’s midfield black hole. Even good players like Hourihane are made to look poor because of how they are played.
Knight, Bird, then Sibley, all gone? Of course they’ll end up at lesser clubs…

Sibley I’d imagine is possibly due to position played, he may not see a future at full back/wing back despite that being his path at derby currently.

obviously a talented player, struggled to get into the game at 10 too often. That is at league one also. The only improvement seen over the last three years has been when played at full back. This could be tested due to higher standard and is probably defending more next season.

Think maybe a move for Sibley might be best for him, that or trying to adapt and become more of a midfielder than an attacker.

I was very convinced he’d stay after the celebrations but we’ll see.

How often would that be? Certainly not more than a game and maybe a half at a time. Still at his age he should be well established.

In that case, for me, it would be solely down to "Do we need a GK coach?", or "Do we need a better GK coach?".

Would it provide an answer to why Wildsmith's form was more up and down this season?

All of the money we did have had to go into wages. We literally didn’t spend a fee on a player. We had weird loans and promotions clauses and all kinds of creativity going on. How else could you describe the other than shoe string? We weren’t able to compete with Bolton and Pompey for players - we even got out manoeuvred by Charlton!

There are things that Warne can be fairly criticised on but I don’t think managing our budget can be one. Credit where credit is due!

    CBT? Washington? Kane?

They lost a huge amount didn’t they? They had good players from where they’d backed previous managers who’d failed. But yeah he’s an exceptional young talented manager with a future at the top. Just worth remembering that they’ll have lost another fortune this season before the premier league promotion money comes in. A risk that’s paid off for them.

We lost money this season too btw. And undoubtedly will lose money next season. Ipswich had new owners come in in Apr 2021 and changed the manager to the current one in Dec 2021.

How much is a fortune btw, I'm not an Ipswich fan so don't know?
