Pretty sure it was the main guy who chose to rejoin Hassenhuttl in the Bundesliga.
Not sure how much people know about youth development, but it doesn't happen in less than 12 months regardless.
And it's not like they'd be picked for the first team without having gone on loan first to be kicked in the lower leagues?

I think there is no need to renew Warnes contract, and the next review will be at the end of next season, unless results are a disaster before then.
You only have to look at the team Brian Clough put together. Plenty of unfancied players who were grafters, and previously journeymen. Amazing what attitude, belief and momentum can do. Adams has dropped into the right place at the right time, he is loving it and just look at him grow!
Wilson and Cashin too!
Really like who?

Elder still has a year left.
"Derby County have signed Australia left-back Callum Elder on a three-year deal following his Hull City departure.
The 28-year-old, who played more than 130 games for the Tigers in four years, will move to Pride Park when his Hull contract expires at the end of June."

I should perhaps add, let’s not get into the same tiresome debate about Warne’s strengths and weaknesses. I am more interested to explore whether you think Clowes, or you yourself, would say he merited another 4 years based on his achievement.
If he achieves Championship stability in 4 years then Clowes would probably be happy. Whether he'll give him as long as Clough Jnr got, who knows. He had the Club stable didn't he? Perhaps it might be dependent on financial support and new input?

They just said on the radio he had a contract offer in January he had no interest in signing. Hadn't heard that but they've got it from somewhere.
Maybe they were still thinking he might be 2nd choice, it seemed that way when Vickers came in before getting injured?

He'd been an excellent squad player for next season, but it might come down to wether he's happy to settle for the bench or be guaranteed starts elsewhere. I can't imagine us going in to the new season without having made a marquee striker signing.
Lol, how many of the past seasons have we said that?

To be honest I'd keep Collins for a year as we'll need some angry people next season off the bench. He's the only centre forward i'd renew though. I'd have kept Gayle instead as he's got great positional sense but he's also made of worn out elastic bands and his wage is best used elsewhere.
I think Smith will be going, We'll need a lot more pace in midfield next season.
I'm not his biggest fan but Collo has looked a better player when we play more football. So the extra aggression will come in handy too.

Interesting that only 13 out 254 voters thought that being outside Top 6 would be acceptable.

How many make a profit? Football has always been somewhere to spend too much money. Maybe let them spend what they like but somehow make 'the Club' secure from going under as an entity?
