I agree. Maybe I’m a little cynical but I doubt any of them would have actually said they want to leave if they were asked either individually or as a group (peer pressure coming into play).

I’m not saying I’d blame them but some are probably having different conversations with their agents especially if they’re told there is a championship or premier league club interested.

Exactly re the money, for example Tom has had his well-publicised issues but Derby have backed him and in Rooney he has found someone perhaps who understands him due to his own experiences. Same with Ravel.
I dont think Rooney will be sentimental though and I think one of the CK tweets mentioned something along the lines of those Rooney wants to stay. They wont all be here on Day 1 next season but I think the majority perhaps will. That's why Rooney staying has always been so key to everything and us being so positive and supportive has made such a huge difference. I feel optimistic for the first time in a very long time

Couldn't agree more.  I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving to play at a higher level. That and the temptation of more money will be there for sure.  But this season Rooney (and I think LR too deserves credit) have instilled such a team / family spirit that people want to stay.  I hope most do.

Its easy to be cynical and scoff at the idea that the players want to stay but the evidence we've witnessed is that they have fought for each other and the manager, in the face of extraordinary obstacles, to such an extent that they have formed a bond.
From Curtis Davies to whoever is youngest, from the staff to the tea ladies, they have given their all for DCFC under Wayne Rooney, a "band of brothers" mentality has developed. We have seen it every game and responded with our own buy in. Never has the match day support been so forgiving.
A player makes an error and we get behind him.
We concede a goal and sing even louder.
Not many of the older players will have witnessed support like this season and I'm sure the younger lads will hear that from them and they probably feel part of something special anyway.
Inevitably some will leave, no doubt about it, but the offers will have to be decent and not just a bob or two above what they can expect here.
To those who are a bit cynical about it then you haven't stopped behind after the final whistle to share the love with the players - win or lose - its been unreal.
The South Stand is as loud 10 minutes after the final whistle as it has been during the match.

100% with you on this one Bucks. That’s why I never sing “Forest are losing”. I don’t give a flying duck what they are doing.I’ve had fans behind me chattering on about “Forest are winning and they’ve only had 40% possession “ They are not in our league next season so let’s ignore them.Get off your phones and get behind DCFC.

Aw don't - I am actually starting to find it hilarious that despite everything that's happened to us, and where Notts Forest are concerned, who are having one of their best seasons for millennia, they still feel compelled to come on here and try and gloat.  Obsessed, bless them. Clearly harbouring secret desires to be a Ram.  Why else be that interested.

Agreed. I've also seen a couple of recent reviews, where they said that when Dr Who was at it's recent best (Russell T Davies writing for David Tennant), it was a show aimed at adults but that the kids could watch. Now it's trying to be a kids' show, but the adults don't want to be constantly preached to......
.....and it's not really working for the kids either.
Indeed. I hope it's not too late to save the show from disappearing up it's own bottom.

Because he will be a sad loser with such a pathetic life that he will think getting an account on here and trying to wind people up is the funniest clever thing ever not realising what that says about him

Couldn't agree more.  The Sea Devils have been hugely under-utilised and were genuinely scary....in the 70s.
As someone who watched Dr Who religiously year after year, hiding behind cushions, I really think he/she (will we get a they?) should retire to some distant planet at the end of the universe in a different space / time continuum.  The youth of today is spoilt with the CGI effects of modern cinema.  The old school ways of The Dr have had their day I think sadly. It's lost its appeal and hasn't moved on.  I tried to get my kids to watch it a year or so ago and they were completely underwhelmed by the special effects...or lack of them.

Because they didn't have an owner who:
directly challenged the EFL over a number of things, such as TV money, or who then subsequently embarrassed them with a somewhat out of the box (but not illegal) accounting policy, who further exacerbated poor feeling by his arrogant (I'm right) approach to business, such that the EFL saw it their purpose in life to do all they could to propagate the downfall of this club through
inconsistent application of so called rules, retrospective changes to said rules when found wanting processing dealings in timeframes orchestrated to do as much damage to us as possible, applying maximum penalties and restrictions despite having discretion to be more lenient failing to discourage spurious and malicious claims from fellow members, revealing their lack of impartiality through the use of such phrases as "we are disappointed at the decision...." to name but one leaking (and probably encouraging) negative and detrimental information to press  All of which further fuelled the hate from fans who already bore us ill feeling.
My one concern remains that L1 is still governed (I use that term loosely) by the EFL.  One can hope this really will be a fresh start for all.

Feel it's a really tough ask to vote for individuals this season, as there are good contenders all across the team.
As I now consider Bird a senior player, I've voted for him over Davies, Allsopp and Byrne (who has been brilliant since Christmas). Lawrence not far behind. I admire Davies' commitment but just missed out for me on some of the away performances- except Reading, which almost warrants the Player of the Season award on it's own!
For young player, I've gone for Cashin. His scores are up there every week, so consistent since he came into the team. What a start in League football. Thomson has been good in patches, took a knock to his confidence as well as his groin after Forest but will be even better next year, hope he stays.
Ebosele not learning as quick as Plange and Ebiowei, think the latter could have been a serious contender if introduced earlier in the season.
I know Davies and Bird will win the respective awards anyway, so I'm not too bothered about spreading my votes about a bit and sharing the love!

Davies and Bird for me too.
Curtis - Legend, best ever season. 'nuff sed.
I had been thinking of voting for Cashin simply because it never occurred to me that Bird is still classed as a young player.
Cashin has been brilliant since he came in but Bird has been there the whole season.

Special mentions to Byrne who I think has done really well, Thompson who has grown in confidence, and of course Cashin who has established himself well.

Never submitted an offer so he's not really moving on. His strategy seemed to be based on the belief that nobody would meet Quantuma's asking price so all he had to do was hang around feeding the press with 'I'm very, very interested' garbage so that he could watch the club go to hell in a handcart, then pick us up for pennies in the pound. Sheffield are welcome to the fat ****.

Yeah I'm excited.  Gutted we're down but was mentally prepared for that as soon as we got those additional 9 points. Rooney's been saying for ages he had 2 lists - one for the Championship and one for League 1.  OK, I'm sure they'll have changed somewhat but, assuming CK gets it all done, when you consider the kudos Rooney has attracted with what he's done with this team, from bringing through youngsters still in pull up pants, to utilising the experience of players practically in incontinence pants, I wouldn't be surprised if there were quality players out there desperate to play under him and be part of our revolution.  What's not to be excited about.

Ref this and your previous reply.  Get this 100% and overall agree.  That said, as much as most of us would love to get answers to these questions I don't think we will, and if we did, would we trust the answers?  It's done. Water under the bridge and all that.  I very much doubt he'll give it the time of day now.  For me, he just needs to come good with the stadium, quickly, to allow CK to get this through as fast as possible, so WR can get on with the job of agreeing new contracts before we lose more to all the circling vultures at ridiculously cheap prices .
