BucksRam reacted to SKRam in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
Moyes great competition for that title. I’ll try not to laugh, no on second thoughts, I’ll raise a glass or four if Moyes is dumped.

BucksRam reacted to jono in Accrington Stanley (H) Mon 2nd Jan, 3pm KO
Credit to Accrington. At times they tried to play football rather than hoof it. But the problem was, they weren’t very good at it. In all honesty they were were pretty poor as footballers and disjointed as a team. For the first time in an age, not only were we quicker to the ball, we were more skilled, more intelligent, harder working, just better everywhere. On another day that was an 8-0. Some say the subs didn’t do much but for me at 4-0 up that wasn’t the object. The Manager was giving players a run out and looking after some older legs at the same time. It was 4-0 when they happened and 4-0 after. Object achieved from a squad management perspective. Osula got suckered. I suspect he was retaliating, got punished according to the rules. That’s hot headed youth. We have all been there so let’s leave the lad alone.
First 60 mins we played some lovely football, McG and others with some joyful inter play, little reverse passes, cute stuff played with skill not arrogance. We looked class. Was that poor opponents or is it the real deal ? Tricky one, but the more we do it the easier it gets. Thought Barks sounded great in his interview, intelligent and reflective. In a very short time Warne has built a team spirit. Liam brought the players in and deserves a salute but Warne has taken the hand he was given and played those cards exceptionally well.
Knight MOTM well deserved. I rated his engine back in Rooney days when we were against the wall and boy is it a good one. Hourihan looked much more confident and assertive than in any other game. Don’t care what others think but I feel Sibley might have found another role. He doesn’t look uncomfortable at the “wrong” end of the pitch and has some useful forays forward. Square peg maybe but the edges have chamfers and blending so they are fitting reasonably well. Dobbin is doing well just needs +5% in the confidence dept and he’ll be a winner, their LB was agricultural and there for the taking but he didn’t always capitalise. Cash and Fozzy - what can you say - is that a clean sheet club record ? Someone else said McG is a cheat code ? yep .. just lovely to watch, so clever and it isn’t just ball skills is seeing the pass. Great stuff. Ha ha and Wildsmith .. god he must have been bored but still managed to save the one half decent shot they mustered.
What a jolly afternoon chaps - don’t think we’ll catch the top two but keep this up and we will be in the play offs. We will also be the team no one will want to play.

BucksRam reacted to Ghost of Clough in Accrington Stanley (H) Mon 2nd Jan, 3pm KO
There's no chance the 4th official saw anything. Someone guessed, or went off the word of an Accrington player.
It also doesn't change the fact that they all missed the rugby tackle on Osula just a couple of seconds earlier. If that was given, there wouldn't have been a kick or red card.

Yes it was a red as he kicked out, but the Accrington guy was barely touched and threw himself to the ground. Osula was def fouled before. Poor ref.

BucksRam reacted to Old Spalding Ram in Thank you Mr Clowes.
We signed six players, Collins, Smith, McGoldrick, Mendez-Laing, Hourihane and Chester, anyone of which would probably get into any other team in this league.
We’ve managed to keep Knight, Bird, Cashin, Sibley, Davies, Thompson, Stearman and Forsyth.
We’ve signed youngsters Oduroh, Rooney plus Dobbin, Osula and Roberts on loan.
We signed three keepers including Wildsmith who is my player of the season.
Considering that just a few months back we were on the verge of handing the club to Kirchner, had five players under contract and no pre season the performances so far are to quote a well known ex manager of this famous football club “nothing short of remarkable”.
Happy New Year to all Ramsfans and……………………Thank you David Clowes.

Bolton drew, we won. Up to 5th. Yet another clean sheet. Pretty? Maybe not but a win's a win. Job done. Next!

An uneven performance but the kind of game we might have drawn, or even lost not so long ago, even allowing for our relative dominance. Another clean sheet will doubtless please the gaffer and another 3 points in the bag, even more so. Winning ugly isn't the worst habit to have in a league like this so it's good to see us grinding out the odd result these days.

Good result and performance for the large parts of the game.
Seems that warne has when, forced into putting square pegs into round holes he also added a bit of sand paper. With a bit of work they do the job. Doesn't look like it should but, works in an ok fashion.
Sibley was great today with his forward game and then tracking back to make cover tackles.
Smith has equally adapted to his rb role.
Fozzy has looked confident alongside Cashin who was very dominant today.
Have a sad feeling that we may be losing Knight. Should be starting in this team and with the performance today from the bench would start much further up in leagues. Can we offer him a new contract on the money he deserves, I doubt it. Will have to sell in January or he will go for nothing really.
If a right back is brought in then that frees up smith to challenge for the midfield role if needed.
Warne has got this team organized with flashes of brilliance. Obviously mcgoldrick takes all the plaudits with his deft touches and clever play, rightly so but, Nathaniel is a real handful as is Collins.
Positive signs for the remainder of the season I think. Not since rowett have we been difficult to beat but by playing better football.
Merry Christmas to all Rams fans and a happy New Year.

As well as illness FGR have their two big scorers from last season returning from injury. Matt came on as a sub but clearly not fully fit and Stevens didn't get on, again not fully fit. Their best winger was out of contract and went to Barnsley close season and their manager was poached by Watford (and typically sacked shortly afterwards.)
They are a small but honest club located in the middle of nowhere who I have a lot of time for.
I felt for them today.
We were good, if not quite at our best, and the gulf in class was obvious. But they didn't resort to kicking and cheating tactics, as many other teams have done.
I hope they find their feet and enjoy the rest of their season (one more game against us excepted!)

BucksRam reacted to Anag Ram in Watchable telly
At the risk of some racism accusation I would say that in general the artists have struggled to paint black sitters accurately across the years and it was no surprise when Lenny Henry was made to look like a generic middle aged black man.
it captured neither his fun side nor his serious side so the only arguments around character being as important as likeness fell down there too.
I’ve seen brilliant likenesses during the series and the judges don’t like them. So I struggle to see the point

I didn't know even there was a landscape version, I'll have a look.
I suspect I won't find as much to get (/enjoy getting) annoyed about though, as another part of my irritation is all the fawning over whichever personality/celebrity is sitting for their portrait.
They're announced, walk into the room and all of the contestants are pictured looking excited, giddy that they're being graced with the presence of such luminaries, they've watched / listened to them since a young age, they were a big part of their childhood and whatever.
In reality a lot of the artists are probably thinking "Who?" and some may even be thinking "Oh god, I can't stand them" or similar. I swear they must take ages filming fake reaction shots.
That's not just on this show though, it's every TV show where the public and a 'star' are shoved into the same breathing space as each other.
