BucksRam got a reaction from Dordogne-Ram in V Plymouth (a) 7th March 20.00
Problem is most are ex players who did exactly what we're watching. I've lost count of the amount of times Smith, Neville...any of them for that matter, despite watching replays where a player has clearly dived, or made no contact still say crap like there's enough there for the ref to blow. It's a game for cheats. It's what it's become sadly.

9 penalties conceded. I would say at least half of those were debatable from memory, prob more. Today's was 100% not a pen but a bookable dive. The fact the ref apologised is simply not good enough. If he had a doubt then play on. These decisions change games, as it did today. Shockingly poor but as per, no-one suffers other than Derby.

To add though, it was a different side second half. Sluggish, poor control, no press, especially in midfield. Lack of strength & depth finally telling? Warne very honest in his post match interview. He said more in fact, in what he consciously didn't say. Not a happy bunny.

The diving t**t looks as guilty as sin too. Loved White screaming at him that he is a "f*ing cheat". There should be more of that.

Agree - one thing we do know is Hamilton is top drawer, so if he couldn't keep up pretty sure no-one could. Imagine how he felt absolutely ragging the guts out of it only to watch Sainz effortlessly pull away. Surprised Sainz didn't give him a little wave and toodle pip over the radio.
This - I'll give it 3, maybe 4 races (if I'm feeling generous) and if it's the same, then I'm turning it over to something more exciting, maybe A Place in the Sun or something.

On the positive side, err...
WEC, WRC, MotoGP, BTCC, WSB, sod it even Formula E and GT racing. Never really got into Nascar or indi. I think most of the IMSA races (american endurance racing) are going to be viewable in the UK free to air (the Daytona 24 was).
But yes, when it's a season of sub-plots down the order that's where the main entertaininment is, it can be a reach at times with F1.
It's not even like the red bulls have got something trick on them that everyone is going to say is ilegal and protest over.
Basically, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are pinning a lot on that reduced red bull catering budget crippling max. "Verstappen out of 4 races after being given inferior chesse toastie"

It's weird one isn't it? They looked pretty racy in the last few GPs last season and I figured that if they could really nail the porpoising issue, they'd have a car to compete. Well they achieved that, but now they have a car that just doesn't like bends. It's a beautiful looking machine, but aero is such a huge factor in modern race cars and it seems that in that regard, they've stood still while everyone else has moved forwards.
This was perhaps the most worrying aspect. He closed to within a half second of Sainz at one point and yet when Ferrari cranked up the power, the latter simply drove off into the distance. Lewis did not look like he had confidence in the car enough to make a dart up the inside either. I think he was probably driving the ears off the bugger yesterday, with nothing more to give. He did drop Russel like a bad habit, which sadly seems to confirm the visual impression.
Me too mate. If it was Leclerc or Sainz, or even Checo, it'd be a pill I could swallow, but Verstappen and Karen take smugness to a whole new level. F|ingers crossed that merc have a plan B. In the interim, we were deprived of Ocon and Gasly playing whacky racers yesterday, so let's hope that provides some entertainment at least!

Got to say, I really hoped RB's domination, and therefore Verstappen's would have been reduced. Sadly not. He could have reversed around the last couple of laps and still won. Considering the struggles of last year I was amazed Merc have continued with this car concept. I think Wolff has now said they're going for radical change going forward. Does that include fitting rocket boosters? When Hamilton, with full DRS is still out-paced then what hope? They're comfortably behind RB, Ferrari and AM now.
Good to see Aston Martin up there courtesy of a great drive from Alonso. Oh and a shout out to Albon for securing a point for Williams. Always had a soft spot from them, probably going back to the Mansell era. If the RB dominance continues though, I may well sign off out of sheer boredom.

"couldn't side-step a bus shelter" - brilliant! But sadly true.
I think we agree on most things - and yes it's been a fantastic 6 nations, even if England themselves are stuttering. Feel free to join our table any time you're down in Bucks on a 6 nations weekend ?

Can't disagree with any of that. And yes, Farrell was better last time out, but given he does have his limitations in the attacking sense, he simply has to be making his kicks. 40% is not even half what's required and in tight games, you simply can't be having that. He's not looked right to me for a while. He had the concussion thing and then the injury and I feel like he's been allowed to play whilst carrying more than the typical niggles that all players carry. That said, I'd not want to be the man trying to tell him he's been stood down. On your point, he actually made a couple of turnovers, unless I imagined it and you don't get too many 10 ripping the ball off the fat lads!
Ref; Ford, I do think folk forget what he can do. He's got that turn of pace that Owen lacks, his place kicking has improved markedly in recent years and he can throw bullets off either hand. He ran the Leicester backline beautifully last season and if he can bring that form to England, he'd not letting us down. He's not the defensive beast that Farrell is, but he's a big step up from Smith on that count. That said, I'd be pretty certain that Farrell will start again. On this note, there are strong rumours swirling that the Baby Rhino will be taking the armband after this 6N, a call not many would disagree with I reckon.
Ref the props, again, I think you're spot on. Dan Cole is THE ultimate warrior and is scrummaging as well as he ever did. I love him to bits but he was never terribly mobile and Mako, who has the best hands I've seen on an English front rower couldn't side-step a bus shelter and he makes no yardage in the loose as he's just too slow. Val always monsters the first 1 or 2 tacklers and we need that forward impetus. In the scrum he's an absolute destroyer, he's surprisingly deft with the little soft hand passes and lay ups and we need to counter other teams' 130KG rucking machines. He can be ours.
It's all about opinions of course and Borthwick will have forgotten more than I'll ever know about the game but all the wizened old gnarly ex-front row types seem to think that he's done enough to at least warrant a look. He's around 30 I think and it needs to be now if ever.
For all my fretting over the state of English rugby, this has been a fantastic 6N thus far. I've literally watched every minute of every game and there's been some absolute belters. Always a dangerous school of thought, but the pendulum does seem to have swung towards the Northern Hemisphere in recent times and that you have to love!
