BucksRam got a reaction from Dordogne-Ram in The Administration Thread
I've honestly more or less stopped checking. Constant refreshing of this forum, Twitter, NewsNow etc was doing my sanity no good whatsoever. What will be, will be. To be fair, my main focus has been on the horrendous events in Ukraine which has been more of a distraction for me, albeit an admittedly morbid one ?

Have to concur sadly. I'm old enough to remember all our conflicts since the Falklands, including the Gulf War, Afghan War, Iraq, Bosnia plus of course the threats from the IRA, Al Qaeda and ISIS and not once do I recall every being really worried. This one however has me worried.

We'll either post regurgitated posts from way back or post "nonsense", There's nowt going to happen soon or even "shortly", If a PB is to be announced "shortly" Sky news will be all over it...ie breaking news, There might just might be 1 or 2 ITKers on here who may get a snippet of news, Nixon, Maguire and Percy will pick the bones of info from twitter and Sky...or if favourites with the EFL
And as you say...Ukraine is a horror show. ?

I think we should be OK shouldn't we as their match against Russia is postponed for obvious reasons, so they don't next play until June in the Nations League. Our season should have finished. Unless I'm missing something (possible)

This is undoubtedly a direct result of the Wycombe and Middlesbrough claims. No doubt, it will be a constant feature of football in the EFL for the foreseeable future too - especially as teams are writing over insanely over-exaggerated losses due to Covid, i.e. Stoke & Forest, which will no doubt get teams towards the top twitching.
The Reading one is interesting, largely because they've been under a transfer embargo that has still allowed them to sign high earning loan players, i.e. Danny Drinkwater (£120k a week), Baba Rahman (£86k a week) and more recently Tom Ince (£30k a week). They might not be paying their entire wage, but Chelsea and Stoke aren't going to be giving them charity. Barnsley have always been run frugally, even last season when they made the play-offs.
Still, if this is the way football is going then you can keep it for me. I genuinely think the EFL have done irreparable damage to itself due to its handling of Derby County. I'm still beyond baffled they openly admitted they were 'disappointed' they couldn't have relegated us last season. No governance can carry themselves in that way and still be successful. All they needed to do was stand by the decision of the independent panel and all of this could've been avoided. Now, they've had to retrospectively introduce rule changes for rules they've already said we've broken (straight line amortisation), but nothing will be more detrimental to them than allowing clubs to effectively sue each other for compensation and call it football debt.
Ultimately, I'd love to see someone with a bit of money and marketing presence start the ball rolling on creating a feeder league to the Premier League and challenge the Football League who have painted themselves into the corner with their actions, particularly over the past decade.

A member of my team is Lithuanian (was part of the old USSR) and has family and friends there and in Russia too. She's not happy and everyone she knows, here and back "home" is wholly against the invasion and is ashamed of what is happening. One of the companies we work with have their development team in Minsk. They too are struggling to understand what's happening and don't accept it. It must be difficult for the majority of Russian / Belarusian people who really are at the mercy of their leaders.

Percy at least reliably relates what EFL tell him. Nixon tends to garble everything whatever the source, but it usually also comes from EFL, as you say.

Expect a cryptic post from Percy or Nixon an hour after.

My gut still tells me that yes, we will.
Letting Derby go under ultimately doesn’t help anyone, EFL included.
I have a lot of thoughts about everything that’s gone on/is going on but it is probably best that I keep them to myself.
All I will say is that the supporters & staff have been let down at every turn.

Off sick today so have been flicking between Sky & BBC News. Struck me earlier that I hadn't checked for a statement on our PB which told me a lot about what I thought was more important right now. That said I really hope we get some positive news today to detract from the complete oblox the Russian UN Ambassador is spouting.
