I've been party to several NDAs, indeed am under one currently at work.  I get all the cries of consternation but I have no doubt the detail of the meeting will be available very shortly afterward.  I suspect that, due to the nature of the questions to be raised, and the delicate position we're clearly in with the EFL, HMRC and prospective buyer (who may have requested this as part of their own NDA), DCFC want, and need, to protect themselves whilst trying to (finally) have some form of communication with fans.
Whilst perhaps, at face value it's disappointing for us fans, it's a pretty common practise.
@david thanks for representing us and good luck.

Tough read @David - must be so hard for all involved, including yourself.  Kudos for stepping in.
I can empathise with everything you're saying.  Exactly the same with my next door neighbour.  I'm not sure of her official diagnosis but she's had several breakdowns, 3 of which resulted in her being sectioned, one of which was off the back of her attacking my wife because she apparently "didn't believe in God and had been talking to the devil, spreading rumours and lies".  Sad, as my wife was the main person to reach out and try and help and support her.
Each time she was sectioned she was out again in days.  Despite attacking and punching my wife (and me forcibly removing the woman from our house) we've never borne her a grudge as we know it's a result of mental illness that the powers that be simply have done little to help her manage. Her marriage broke down as a result (her ex simply couldn't cope with it) and her sons suffered hugely, struggling at school, and losing most, if not all of their friends.
She seems to be far better these days, is on and, importantly, continues to take her meds, has had a boyfriend for 18 months and is now moving to start afresh.  I hope everything works out for her but if anything the whole situation over the past few years has made me extremely angry at the authorities and the process as a whole.  Mental illness is so serious and affects not only those suffering, but many of those around them, most of whom want to help but whose hands are tied by bureaucratic processes.

Fingers crossed for you all.  One of the problems with my neighbour was each time, she stopped taking her meds when she thought she was better (and on one occasion that I'm aware of was pretending to take them).  Bit of a vicious circle sadly.
Not exactly the same as what you're going through with your future brother-in-law, but one good thing that's come out of sport recently with the like of Simone Biles is highlighting mental health - a brave step.  Tyrone Mings has followed suit.  Adam Peaty has announced he's taking a break, as is Ben Stokes.  Maybe it'll act as a bit of a catalyst but will still need a big improvement in the availability of, and access to, effective support before things begin to improve.

Born and raised in South London. No family or other affiliation to Derby at all. First game I was taken to by a Chelsea mad uncle was his lot vs Derby, presumably with the aim of ensuring I became a Stamford Bridge regular. Struck me that the Chelsea fans were properly grim though so I found myself cheering Derby instead. Stuck with them ever since and always will.

Thank you, kind sir. Still recovering from a brain haemorrhage and now turned 80 means long journeys to Derby by myself are now off the menu, though my son and my stepson insist they’ll get me to PP again. My partner had hoped that having my brains scrambled might have helped me forget about the Rams - but I pointed out that it actually helped!

Born and bred in Buckinghamshire. Started supporting Derby in the mid 70s aged about 7, when my new best friend at school asked who I supported. I replied no-one.  He said he was a Derby fan (his family had moved here from Mickleover) so I said OK, I'll support them then.  45 years later here I still am.

To be honest I don’t think there has been much of a difference.
Most of the complaints have moved from politics thread to Covid which they think we don’t realise is a secret politics thread.
It can be fun to watch the left v right trying to go at each other under just Covid knowing they are itching to bring Brexit up.
Bans probably would have increased with trolls from other clubs, but I now manually approve new members. If you live in Bristol or Leeds it’s going to be tough getting on here at the minute, sorry!
Leeds fans especially are a different breed.
Nottingham is more difficult due to the location, but we haven’t had as far as I’m aware many if at all. To be honest they haven’t really needed to come on as some of our own fans are doing a great job laying into the club, they can just sit back and enjoy.
What I would say is though, I’ve noticed more tension members, back and fourths whilst staying within the rules since the first lockdown.
It may have eased now if we wasn’t in the situation we are now and Rooney hadn’t put us across the front pages of the tabloids for the wrong reasons.
We could do with getting a few players in and be comfortably mid table, things might start to ease before we move into the no ambition, miles off top 6 stage again.

@David I've lurked around on this forum for some 6 years now, but only started participating not that long ago in the scheme of things.  It'd be interesting to know the level of complaints, leavers or banned over the past 18 months against what you experience "normally".
With COVID and the stress this has caused many of us personally affected by the illness, or through lock-down, plus the nightmare that's surrounded our club during that time, I wouldn't be surprised if some members were more negative or challenging than they would normally be, using the forum as an opportunity to get things off their chests, not least when they couldn't do it down the pub, or at a game. Conversely, some were (are) probably more sensitive as a result and perhaps take things more personally than usual.  It's a thin line.
I know lots of members socialise off platform and are friends so it is difficult at times for others looking in to know that some things said will be to mates and so won't be taken as offense.  As for me, I don't know anyone of here personally (at least, I assume not) so for me, much as I'm not afraid of confrontation, I try and ensure anything I write is considered and respectful. But that's just me.
Kudos to all you guys and gals who run and moderate this great forum.  It can't be easy letting us have a voice at times.  As I've said before, with a lot of poo in my life this past 2 years, this forum has been a great release for me.  Keep up the good work.
