Err, based on what?  Practically every study shows that if you are vaccinated you're less likely to contract covid.  You're less likely to get really ill if you do contract it.  You clear the virus faster. You have lower levels of virus overall for the period you're infected and the peak load time of the virus is less than those unvaccinated.  All that together shows in studies that vaccinated people are, on average, likely to be less contagious.
I may be wasting my breath here, which fortunately after 2 bouts of covid, I still have albeit not as good as it used to be.

Precisely this and the probable main reason for some threads being regurgitated is that it's not possible for either party to provide a compelling, decisive, factual argument so the debate goes on and on and on......
My largest gripe is that when someone does bother to quote some factual based information such as statistical data but it then it quickly gets poo pooed with the hackneyed quotes about being able to be interpreted as to how you like, it's not valid to compare x with y and so on because the facts don't marry up with their personal agenda.

Yeah I hear you - don't want to get into the vaccinated vs not vaccinated other than to say those not vaccinated are more likely to pass it on than those not, and even though vaccinated, you can still catch it (as I have done) and so still pass it on to others.  On a personal level I take the "tested negative" with a little bit of a pinch of salt.  My daughter had covid - we tested daily for 4 days after she'd had her PCR result, all negative. Day 5 we tested positive. Pretty sure in the interim we were carrying the virus.

Not quite true as unvaccinated can attend with  a valid LFT result,  protocols within the clubs require the same testing as a minimum of all staff.
I do agree with the sentiment though about team-mates not being vaccinated if I was and them being in the same dressing room, briefings etc

Yeah he was. Ironically common drugs like Aspirin, Benadryl or Zyrtec (anti histamine drugs generally) all have a risk of adverse side effect on fertility.  I bet quite of few of those refusing the jab would quite happily pop one of those pills.
To quote Professor Emma Duncan a professor of Clinical Endocrinology at King’s College London:
“The question of male fertility and COVID-19 vaccines has been studied for mRNA vaccines; and there is no evidence that sperm counts or motility (sperm capability to move/ swim) or male fertility are affected by vaccination. There have been no concerns raised about AstraZeneca to date either.
However, what is important is that there is evidence that men who are recovering from moderately severe COVID-19 have reduced sperm quality and counts 1-2 months after their illness, compared with men who have mild or asymptomatic infection – though in the study that looked at this the values were still in the normal range and may recover further with time.
The best advice for men who are planning a family is to get vaccinated – for their own sake and for the sake of their partner – as COVID-19 in pregnancy – particularly late in pregnancy – is associated with a higher chance of adverse outcomes for both the mother and the baby.  There is no evidence that vaccination affects fertility of either men or women.”

And there hangs the issue. They're applying two different principles to a single event.  It does smack of hypocrisy making it compulsory for fans to be jabbed to attend a game, but voluntary for the players who they're there to watch. If I were in the dressing room and some of my team were unvaccinated I wouldn't be happy personally - it's proven that the risk of passing on COVID is drastically reduced in vaccinated people - all I'd think is matey-boy opposite me doesn't give a poo about my health.

Yeah a bit to be fair (not like Waitrose though) but we've tried Tesco etc and just got fed up with not having things available, or stupid substitutes.  Last straw was during lockdown when we were restricted to 80 items which was really hard for a family of 4 plus also shopping for my elderly parents who were shielding - we switched to Ocado (M&S) who had no such restrictions and haven't gone back.  That said we do still do the odd shop in Aldi or Lidl too.

If Sky's to be believed, the EFL has told them today 25% of their players have no intention of getting vaccinated.  But it's OK for them to play.  So fans are being made to show passports to prove they've been vaccinated to just get into the ground, but 25% of those they're going to watch aren't even going to bother getting a jab.

Apologies if I've missed a similar thread like this before.
I've noticed quite a few comments recently from posters who have opined "I don't know who you are but...", or "I don't know what you do but...". I thought it may be useful if, assuming anyone's willing, to share a bit about themselves which may help in understanding where some of us may be coming from or provide a reference point if anyone has a particular question (not the x-rated stuff of course albeit that may be more interesting!).  At the risk of being the only poster, I'll bite the bullet and go first:
