They are only doing phone and video sessions at the moment, but it still works, and is less awkward I find than being in the room with a stranger
I've had a couple of CBT sessions and it's really helping - even though I couldn't have been more cynical up front. To be honest, it's less about "unloading crap" and more of them giving you practical theoretical lessons about CBT and how the mind works.
For me it the principle seems as bit like one of those things you just do on autopilot without thinking, but the second you start to think about it in detail, you can't do it any more.

The cats will put the dog in it’s place pretty quickly.  We’d had our cat for 6 years before we got a proper pet and she must have given the dog a few swipes when he got too close because he’s very wary of her now! Might be different if you get an older dog rather than a puppy.

Democracy be damned. I once lost a 4-way family vote 3-2, so I'm understandably skeptical of the process.
The 3 others in this house all want a dog and I just put my foot down. Veto. To be fair to the rest of the household, they understand my desperation to never have a dog.
 

That's one of my objections! To be fair the two cats already hate each other, so pets in conflict is nothing new

Go to a dog rescue site, select a dog that suits all your needs, ask how said dog gets on with cats and other creatures. If suitable, 100% adopt one, promise you, you wont regret it..

What do the cats want? I would have thought they'll be the ones most affected.

The Americans is pretty good for the real world/80s retro feel - and shares a sort of "good people doing bad things because they feel the ends justify the means" thing with Breaking Bad. Not quite such high end production values as BB though, so fewer majestic shots of rolling desert clouds etc

I still have some - sat in a Merrill Lynch account. At one point they were worth about $15k, then stabilised around the $11/12k mark
Since Covid-19 they have dropped to $7k (briefly went into the $8k region the other day)
Luckily I didn't pay for any of them (only through my hard work for the company anyway) - so I don't stress it. Would be pretty gutted if I'd bought them all though
