Yup and whilst the world is looking in another direction Pfizer have started releasing the documents they wanted to hide for 75yrs - the first batch has already revealed some interesting data...
And in other more positive news a peer reviewed study from Israel has finally confirmed that keeping your Vitamin D levels up (virtually impossible to do in the UK due to our climate) massively reduces your risk of suffering from a bad case of covid.  Its cheap and easy to do and has many more benefits than purely helping with covid, we've all been taking various vitamin supplements since the outbreak began at chez maxjam and the only one of us to catch covid has been our 18yo son (and that was a mild case lasting 3-4 days in February of this year).

I have always thought that you should joke about anything, even death. That belief became even stronger about 30 years ago. 
My grandma died as she was visiting a hospital. They tried to revive her but didn't succeed. The doctor in charge however gave some young doctor an order to hit her with defibrillator again and again after she was gone to get more practice.They told that to us afterwards. 
Suddenly my grandma came back. The doctors were stunned. They told that they had never seen somebody as dead as she was come back. It took a couple of days for her to become strong enough to be able to talk. The first thing she said was ask for a water. The nurse said that they couldn't give her water at the moment due to her medical condition. My grandma told the nurse, okay give me some booze then. The nurse was horrified. "We can't give you any alcohol". My grandma just started to laugh.
When we came to see her my grandma told this story to us and we all started to laugh, loudly. The thing is my grandma never used alcohol. We laughed and laughed and people were horrified of our whole family that seemed to be a bunch of drunks.
At that time I really realized that there is no situation you can't make a joke. Okay we properly offended others in the room and perhaps the nurse in question but there was no harm intended against anyone and if somebody got offended I think that they should be able to live with it.

I hate the current atmosphere towards humor. You can't say or do anything without someone crying about it. The craziest thing is that now people are expected to apologize jokes in comedies that are 30-70 years old.

Cancelled my Sky Sub a few months ago, I miss the odd movie and the sport but not enough to justify the cost especially as the 'old' Soccer Saturday crew got kicked off the show a while back.
Recently cancelled the TV licence as well.  Apart from adding to the 1.7m cancellations this year to make a statement we barely watched it anyway - so haven't missed it.
So long as I don't watch live TV or iPlayer I get almost everything I need on Amazon Prime, DIsney+ and Netflix.  Much happier ? 

We drove for 90 minutes for our weekly visit to my aging mother, only to find the nursing home closed because someone met someone who tested positive for Covid.  On the way back a car spat a large stone into our front windshield, breaking it and this is the first thing i read when getting home. 

And pro vaxers will will claim it’s not the vaccines
the sensible in the middle people will believe it really needs looking into , if it wasn’t happening before vaccines and it’s happing to age groups not normally recorded as at risk from covid then surely going tribal and just dismissing it is not the right way to go ,
personally in think the move to mass vaccination of those not at risk from covid could be problematic but it needs smarter people than me to properly research what’s going on 

Ivermectin is still undergoing trials, but maybe they should just all stop as the media have told us its useless.

You don't shut down debate because some people think it should no longer be debated. 
You would have been quite happy shutting down the debate on the virus coming from a Chinese Lab 2 years a go. So would all of social media. Actively banning posts stating the above. Dangerous. Extreme.
