Will Hughes Hair reacted to Ram1988 in Summer Transfer Suggestion Thread 2023
Alfie May would have been the pne for me but that ship has sailed now. Rather Waggy than Rhodes.

Don't question Warne, it's just not worth it.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to sage in Is our budget any bigger than last year?
We have got the most income in this division, but no one has espoused reckless spending.

Will Hughes Hair got a reaction from Eoghan1884 in Jordan Rhodes - gone to Blackpool
Maybe it’s the HTFC committee that stopped Rhodes attending his medical?
-
Will Hughes Hair reacted to rsmini in Jordan Rhodes - gone to Blackpool
At least Jordan Rhodes wasn’t brought onto the pitch before a game

Will Hughes Hair got a reaction from Carl Sagan in Jordan Rhodes - gone to Blackpool

Doesn't look happy about it tbf...

Will Hughes Hair reacted to MaltRam in Jordan Rhodes - gone to Blackpool
If he was due for a medical and didn't show, he can do one. Not welcome. We're building a tight squad who'll have each others back and work for the team. No place for liars in that, and I'd be disappointed if Warney persevered. Next.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to DCFC1388 in Martyn Waghorn - signed a 1-year deal
Person who told me about Washington & Bradley being done has told me Waghorn is done now & it was Rhodes that Warne was on about when he said the liar comment, Rhodes deal was pretty much done 2 weeks ago before 'complications'

Will Hughes Hair reacted to Ghost of Clough in Max Bird
Bristol are selling a CM for over £20m, having alreqdy rejected 1 bid matching that amount. He's 19 and got only 1 goal and 5 assists from a more advanced position than Bird played last season.
Due to his worth to us with regard to our current CM options and difficulty getting other players in and our aim for promotion, I wouldn't accept anything below £5m.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to Ghost of Clough in Max Bird
Not got in the England team ahead of Rice or Phillips who cost a combined £160m?
1 goal and 5 assists for a player who spent most of the season as a DM... Do you know how mamy young CMs bettered Bird's assists last season? No L1 CM aged 23 or younger got more from open play last season. 2 players in L2 did, Watt (8) and Brieley (6), none in the Champiomship, and only Willock (6) got more in the PL.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to Nuwtfly in Max Bird
We haven’t replaced McGoldrick, Bielik or Knight, so I wouldn’t be too confident that Bird would only be sold if a replacement is already lined up.
-
Will Hughes Hair reacted to Leeds Ram in Max Bird
We shouldn't be selling him unless it's for upwards of 4 million pounds which we can use throughout the squad. I'm honestly not sure what we're doing with recruitment atm, we started off well but up front it's been so sparse.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to DCFC1388 in Max Bird
Knight wasnt out of contract, he had a year left on his deal like Bird does

Will Hughes Hair reacted to r4derby in Max Bird
I’m not sure he plays less minutes. Liam was a big fan of him when here, so he obviously would be spending money to become part of his main XI.

The Max Bird who has been Man of the Match in nearly every pre-season game?
This would be very disappointing and our last hope of actually seeing some finesse this season gone.
-
Will Hughes Hair reacted to Topram in Max Bird
No point, we couldn’t invest the knight or bielek money so why lose one of our best players now?
-
Will Hughes Hair reacted to Ellafella in Paul Warne on Sportscene for full hour 1st August
Speaks absolute Megavolumes about Birdy's professionalism and dedication...we so need to keep hold of Bird.
-
Will Hughes Hair reacted to Anag Ram in v Wigan (H) Match Thread
Trouble with having a terrier in midfield is that he often gets bypassed.

Last seasons academy training kit.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Central midfield
But not every player in the team needs to play further forward. In a team sport it’s about combinations within the side. If we had a midfield of Hourihane, Bird and Sibley with all 3 playing in an attacking way the defence would be exposed. If you’re saying Thompson played well in games where we had to defend at a higher level then the attributes you claim not to see are clearly around his ability to play a defensive midfield role, harrying opponents, tackling and playing the simple ball so the likes of Bird and Hourihane can go create. If Smith is first choice in that regard Thompson is his understudy, that’s the role he can play in the squad.
You’re suggestion that if we’d signed him from another club he’d be getting slaughtered is your opinion, I have a different opinion of him and think he is a good squad option, I’d still think that if we’d signed him from elsewhere. He’s 21, has a good touch, close control, a good engine on him, brave and willing to learn. For me there’s plenty to like about him.

Will Hughes Hair reacted to Raich Carter in Summer Rumour Mill
I'd be a) gobsmacked and b) VERY disappointed if Bird went.
