  1. I’m fortunate that the pandemic hasn’t hit me financially - and like some other have said I’m not sure why or even how considering the mess our club is in, I feel more engaged and wanting to get behind the boys more than ever before.

I think it’s because Derby county is our club, and the club isn’t at fault nor is the team, it’s the people running the club that are in the wrong. Whether they are local and support Derby or are from another continent, they are simply the people who run the club and should be doing it in the best interest of Derby county and it’s real ‘owners’ the fans. I actually think Derby county needs us more than ever before but I obviously understand why many are disengaged or simply can’t put their hands in their pockets. I do think the attendances will grow throughout the season if and when something gives more fans hope - ie results on the field or a takeover and the whole EFL stuff finally being put to bed. Before the pandemic I was missing the odd game and not bothered, but Saturday I can’t make boro as I’m in liverpool and I’m gutted. This team needs all the support it can get and so far the fans at each game have given them exactly that.

This all day long, every day. When you watch other teams play it highlights just how little of this we do. Looked different when we had Carroll in on trial. Just hope we get the embargo lifted very soon. Cheers @Ramos #COYR

I know we can’t compare but smith-Rowe in the arsenal game Friday night demonstrated exactly how to play on the turn. Rooneys tactics aren’t going to work until someone is willing to take the ball on the turn and make that pass through the next third. Otherwise the players will keep splitting, the others will keep coming deep and the ball will stay exactly where it is. I’d say it could work very well with bielik and Watson becusee they actually play forward passes.

  3. Just got back after staying in Peterborough for the afternoon. Infuriating… but almost like you can’t be annoyed at anyone cause this team just isn’t good enough and we have zero options off the bench.

Delighted for stretton and what a finish. But how many times were we breaking at their defence and made the wrong decision or a terrible pass?? Should of buried it before the end.  I still cannot work out how we lost, Peterborough were clueless and looked out of ideas but somehow we created two opportunities for them. Disappointing all round and going to be a very very long hard season. Difficult to see where wins and even goals are going to come from. Thought stearman and Davies were rock solid till literally the 90th min, Morrison looked ok again. But other than that a lot of passing for passing sake in our own half. If Lawrence is determind to keep coming short why run all the way back just to pass it straight back to the cbs? Got to be braver as a team and turn on the ball. Derby fans did us proud, many stayed to clap the players after the final whistle - the ****** posh fan who ran at the Derby fans on the pitch summed up their support. We go again as always but it’s hard to be positive.  UTRS.

I think that Chris Coles is an absolute gem and Steve Nicholson comes across as a really nice fella who knows his stuff.

Before Chris it was OB , who is absolutely brilliant and surely destined for big things ( if he wants them ) - a bit like Darren Ferguson who used to be on local radio and now heads up BT Sport commentary and presents on Radio Five Live

So someone at RD and DT must be doing something right !

I think its a particularly tough time for newspaper journalists so they have my sympathy even though the DT website is pretty infuriating !

Think you mean Darren fletcher!! I remember listening to century FM when they mainly covered Derby and forest - and they reluctantly covered Leicester - how that would be different now ahah.

Is this defo the away block then?

Ignore as old Spalding said still says for away fans. Basically the whole block is empty so someone should put this on Twitter for those fans still trying to get a spot.

I would have been there but I was stuck in the Peaks for my mum's 60th-birthday weekend, which she didn't even make in the end (long story).

My last away game was Notts County the other day I suppose. Last competitive one was Palace in the FA Cup (February 2020) and last league game Wigan away on Boxing Day.

O I went to Wigan too actually. Maybe I go more away games than I thought ha. Have your Peterborough tickets arrived yet?

Think it's to allow for posting out the tickets. Postal tickets normally go off sale earlier than collecting from the Ticket Office

Yeah it’s to allow for the tickets to be able to make it to you before Saturday  - if the ticket office was open I imagine they’d be on sale till Friday.

  8. Just got home - first 15 mins were meh but after that thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty from ebosele, Watson and Hutchison to think they’ve certainly got a part to play and bright futures. Thought sibley looked threatening when we actually got him in the game. Stretton made good runs but didn’t get a lot of service. Morrison looked good but hopefully there’s another level from him - great goal! Kazim just oozes leadership and thought the make shift defence bar two soft goals did a good job most the game. Two games unbeaten, unbelievable scenes.

Ah, but this season, not last season.

Or maybe next season if he's not allowed to bring in more players this season.

It reminds me of my mother. When trying to decide between two things, say purchases, she would flip a coin. If it wasn't the answer she wanted then "best of three", still no, "best of five", "best of seven". Spent a lot of time flipping coins.

When will it be ok to judge Rooney?

(To be fair, I think he's handling the crap incredibly well - I just want to get back to football and judging his football team).

I was Rooney out at the end of last season, but giving him the benefit of the doubt especially with what’s going on at the club. If he can keep Derby up , he will have done a job similar to George burley in 2004 I think it was, when he kept us up with an awful squad and rooney will deserve credit for it. Hopefully we can get 3 or 4 more of his players in that fit the pattern of play he wants. There was certainly more movement, positivity and a style of play being developed in preseason. Aluko, baldock and Morrison seemed quite integral to that so if he can get baldock in - and Carroll and jagielka, we maybe one or two wingers away from having a squad that can at least comfortably avoid the drop - if we do perform.
