Johnson heavily linked with Stoke

Cameron Brannagan at Oxford is regarded has one of if not the best midfield player in the division the past few seasons. 
Beginning of last season Blackpool triggered a 1.5m buy out clause he though decided to remain at Oxford. 
He has played apart from 3 appearances for Liverpool played 200 games at this level,he is not a  international and transfer market has his current value at 500k.
Jason has played more at a higher level is a current international and appears to be in demand so a fee up to or above 1.5 should be achievable if we want to sell. 

To be fair, I doubt he wanted to get injured and it's normal for players to still be paid whilst injured (don't clubs take out insurance? although I guess we probably defaulted on the premiums).
Has he actually said he doesn't want to play for Derby again or just that he wants to play at a higher level than league one (shock revelation) Did he have any say in his move to Birmingham or was it engineered by the club to cover (in part at least) his wages and put him in a shop window more likely to attract bidders?
Does he have any control over how much we sell him for?
He would be an asset to the club but, whilst I doubt he'll ever pull a Derby shirt on again I really don't get all this hatred towards him. It would be nice to sell him and pick up a nice little fee but it's hardly his fault a deal hasn't been struck yet. You might argue why doesn't he just come back then but, for all we know, he may have been told one way or another that his future no longer lies at the club.

I agree replacing his goals and more is important. The bit I don’t agree with are the members of our fan base who are adamant he is leaving when there’s been no credible source to support that notion and the idea that we’re completely screwed if he does go. 
No one knows if he’s staying or going as yet. No one knows the calibre of players we’ll sign to replace him or to play alongside him. We do have time, have allegedly been planning our recruitment and proactively pursuing players for a while, and there is a budget of sorts from what information is out there in the public domain. So whilst it could be a blow if he leaves, and it could be great if he stays, it seems sensible in my view to wait and see how it unfolds before proclaiming the end of days as some are on social media and others are leaning towards on here. 

I am fed up with these international managers sticking their nose into club affairs that do not concern them.
