whiteroseram reacted to Gaspode in Rob Edwards
Weird how we seem to be so hated throughout football, yet Watford keep doing dodgy things and no one even questions them....

Has he come back or were they just dropping him off at his new club. Anyone checked his coach seat for the bag of magic beans they swopped for him.

Brilliant!!
For the youngsters.... Whenever a manager lost his job, Alan Curbishley would always be listed as an outsider. But I don't think he ever got another job after leaving Charlton.

Am I being thick or doesn’t Morris lose out big time if we’re liquidated?

Your probably right, but there is a risk in this for Mel, if Derby did ground share or, god forbid, get liquidated he then has the ground and the MSD loan to service.
I wonder how long the current Derby agreement to lease the ground from Mel has left to run, it could be this lease that would stop Derby from ground sharing.
Theres so much detail we do not know it’s difficult to pull together even an educated guess.?

I’m not stupid enough not to think he’s not had death threats at least via the postal service. His full address was on Twitter the other day, and there’s lots of keyboard warriors out there.
Do people want evidence before condemning these actions?

It probably would be, but they would have to make sure we don't play at "home" at the same time as Forest, as well as Notts County.

And I nearly forgot, not paying Saint John ambulance debt. That to me was the clincher, you cannot sink lower.

whiteroseram reacted to duncanjwitham in Stadium buy out
Your first problem is that you need to find about 20,000 Derby fans, with £1k spare, during the biggest financial squeeze in recent memory.

whiteroseram reacted to keithred in Stadium buy out
We cannot allow the take over of our club being stymied by the problem caused by the fact that Mel Morris still owns Pride Park.
What we need is a fans' buy out of the ground. I suggest the following:
If enough fans are prepared to invest £1,000 each, I reckon we can easily reach an amount for the stadium which Mel will accept. Those investors become shareholders of the ground. A management committee is appointed with liaison with the new club board. A regular lease is agreed and set up, giving the investors a return on their investment. The terms of the lease give the club takes full responsibility for maintaining the stadium, including policing on match days, etc.
Can anyone see a problem with this scenario? We need to get this moving asap.
