Whatever happens in the future, we have spent many months staring into the abyss with very few parties willing to save us. So called ‘fans’ have chucked us aside and let us rot, where without intervention we would have died.
So whatever does happen, whether the next chapter of Derby County is successful or not, I will never forget the act of saving this Club that I love with all my heart. Hundreds of thousands of people love this Club as much as me, if not more, unfortunately none of us had the money to save us. A couple of sharks have circled trying to get their hands on a carcass, but we’ve only really had one realistic prospect of having a custodian with pride and admiration for what he is buying. And with the exchanging of contracts I hope for all our sakes that the storm clouds of the last however many months it is, are finally parting. We have finally (and hopefully) got our Club back.

You could call it elegance, and it is not an unfair presentation of CK’s bid. However, the issue here of course is that our husk of a club even with a stadium, is not worth a great deal. We seem to be down to 2 purchaser options. CK and Ashley. I suspect they are offering broadly the same amount of money, Ashley perhaps a little lower. However CK is wanting to spend his bucks on the creditors, and doing a deal which satisfies EFL and 35% of creditor claims over a 3 year period. No point deductions, and level playing field for us next season in L1. He has Q’s support in that regard, but Morris appears to be standing firm in giving the stadium back (impasse). So some third party input is perhaps required to finesse the deal and get the stadium out of his hands, perhaps Derby CC or a League of Gentlemen whichever Journo you want to believe. Ashley though, IN MY OPINION, doesn’t give a stuff about the creditors or a points deduction, indeed I think he would be ok if we are in L2. He is more interested in his bucks getting the stadium, and getting rid of Morris and MSD. I suspect Morris likes that too, because I am more convinced (and yes one eyed) that Morris prioritises getting some money back in preference to putting the club first. One hell of a mess.

I don't see why not though, we've managed to catch up with some of the dross of this division why not another poor team with another clueless manager? Plenty of games left.

We're much better than Barnsley, we're also much better than Hull. Those teams do not fear me at all, I can easily see Hull going on a terrible run and us doing what we've been doing and overtaking them.

Public Service announcement for any Boro fans reading:
Yes, Derby fans think Mel Morris was wrong. Who is suffering for that? (Hint for the hard of thinking, it isn't Boro fans)
Yes, Steve Gibson has had his vengeance.
No, Steve Gibson's vengeance is not "justice" no matter how much you tell yourselves it is.
No, Derby avoiding relegation isn't the same as Derby not being punished/ not being punished enough (hint for the hard of thinking, if you think relegation should be a punishment, lobby the league to make that a rule)
No, Derby did not do anything wrong in the sale of Pride Park. This has been tested and found in Derby's favour. No matter how much Steve Gibson says otherwise.
No, if you harbor any notion that fans of Derby County are ever going to believe Gibson's actions against Derby a were right, you are mistaken.

Just sent this to Rick Parry. I'm still yet to receive a reply to my previous email, just needed to vent my frustration. This isn't acceptable, you can't run football like this.

It's time for Derby to commence legal action against the EFL, the other clubs that have remained silent throughout this process will be hit in the pocket.
Why? Because it's the right thing to do to protect the game we all love. We cannot allow the EFL to continue as they are. Sooner we have an independent regulator the better.
They have broken the agreement that prevents clubs from taking action against each other, reg 4.4
They have failed to take action against both Middlesbrough and Wycombe under reg 3.5 which prevents clubs from unfairly criticising, disparaging, belittling or discrediting any other Club.
They are ignoring the Arbitration Act 1996 with regards to insolvency and the football creditor status, attempting to push this through arbitration regulations, ignoring 4.4.
Surely we have more grounds than any of the clubs that have threatened legal action.
With the above we have been forced to sell assets for a low fee as we were prevented by offering contracts. We have incurred additional administration costs, which will increase the purchase price of the club, potentially forcing us into liquidation if the cost continues to rise.
With that it's 3am and the dog is looking at me, I can feel the questioning why are we not going to bed with his eyes.
Feel free to rip apart any of tonight's rants, I'm not a legal expert, far from it, but I am capable of reading and processing words.

The morning after the night before… and what a night!
It was my first game since pre-Covid days and not a bad one to be at. I've read a lot about the recent atmosphere on here but it was something else, barely stopped all night from where we were in the South Stand. And most of the ground by the sounds of it.
Find it hard to fault anyone after that performance. My brief take on things…
Allsop – had little to do (apart from the first save which I've only just seen on the highlights as we missed the first couple of minutes!). Very calm and passing was excellent – both short and long when needed.
Davies – head on everything, experienced 'head' continuing to do the business.
Buchanan – thought he was superb too, particularly for a 1st senior game at centre back. If he can continue that sort of performance Stearman will struggle to get back in.
Byrne – brilliant, some lovely touches both in attack and defence.
Forsyth – looked like the Forsyth of old, marauding down the left. Beautiful bullet header. Bit unfortunate for the own goal I thought, Festy should've really stopped the cross.
Ebosele – please let us keep hold of him! Hull just couldn't handle him when he had the ball. Did the defensive side too (cross for the goal aside). For his goal – thought the chance had gone after his first touch but hit it so sweet into the side netting. Missed his somersault celebration as someone somersaulted over me from the row behind in the aftermath!
    Knight – everywhere as usual.
Bird and Bielik (B&B?) – put these together as they worked really well as a pair. Didn't feel like Bielik did a lot but every time he had the ball he looked effortlessly calm. Praying he can stay fit. Heart in the mouth when he went down towards the end. Thought it was his shoulder again but looked like a knock above the eye as he came off? Hopefully not too serious. Bird playing beyond his years.
Plange – held the ball up well, particularly for someone so young. Ball didn't quite fall for him but worked hard all night.
Lawrence – left the last word for Tommy. He's had a lot of stick on here and in other quarters, some of it arguably deserved. But think he just shaded the MOM from Ebosele for me. He worked soooo hard – in attack, midfield and defence. Multiple clearances in our own 18 yard box. Scored one from being in the right place at the right time and threaded the pass through for Festy's goal. Superb captain's performance.
Thanks to @admira who I met on here for inviting me along.
"They docked us 21 points but we don't give a duck, cos we are Derby County and we are staying up. Allez, allez, allez."

@BoroWill- the reason your owner is seen as the villain of the piece is because he is.  Not because of his views of Mel Morris and not because of his previous views and comments of our club's profligate spending - you will find many/most Rams fans (no doubt some late to the party) who agree with him on both counts - but because he is and has been for many months deliberately making it impossible for us to move to new ownership without us slugging him a considerable amount of money (anything between £7m and £45m) for a perceived competitive gain, when even your own fans believe that your failure to gain a play off place that season was largely down to Pulis and a sporting/player/results failure on your part.
We have been roundly punished by the EFL's processes for our financial splurge; we have spent the vast majority of the last 3/4 seasons under a transfer embargo; we've had 9 players leave this transfer window alone, most against their will; we're down to the bare bones from a squad perspective; we're likely to get relegated despite the fantastic effort that the players are putting in to avoid that happening.  Is not all that and more, punishment enough?
Yet, for your owner, this is personal.  He doesn't care that the club, our club, is suffering, that good people are out of work, that a fan base is suffering. The proof of that is that he is continuing with a claim that is at its very, very best, purely speculative.  If he relaxed his claim we could, probably, get new owners in place, sort out creditors, be relegated and under EFL control for two more years but at least move on.  He won't let us because he doesn't like Mel Morris and wants to see Mel Morris suffer. And that is it pure and simple, and that is why he is, whatever your protestations to the contrary, the villain of this piece.  It's time for him to show some leadership, move on and concentrate on his own club.

Ashley's head of PR on SSN just said he was really upset about reports over the weekend saying he wasnt interested. He said he totally is and wants the Derby fans to know that and thats why they have broken cover today. He is interested in Derby as he is a "solution maker" and thinks he can make it successful.

Other clubs fans I talk to at work don't seem to realise that, whatever we did wrong, we have been punished for under the rules of the EFL. When you can explain face to face to them what has happened to DCFC in terms of the disciplinary process we have endured, you can see the light bulb flicker.
Points deductions, transfer embargo, wage caps, no covid money, its all been done (or ongoing). We have taken the full might of the ruling body's wrath for Morris' wrongdoings and are now in administration facing possible liquidation.
Gibson knows full well that the longer he forces his mate Parry to stop us being taken over, the more chance we will fold. Even though we have been punished. Its as if our survival would be seen as somehow we've gotten away with it.
There is no point talking to complete and utter morons on a Boro forum who have no idea and no interest in actually looking at the facts.

I just hope that no one in the football world forgets the unique factor in our current situation and that is the claims of two other EFL members......never done before and will probably never be done again because of rule changes.

We've taken our punishment and probably the longest embargo ever, all the less visible punishments have hurt us as much as the points deductions.
Have the EFL not noticed that media coverage has lost interest in the promotion race, and is now more interested in DCFC survival fight?? DCFC is the story and the EFL once again just dont get it.
I think we will survive, but I KNOW, we won't FORGET.
