There would have been some decent options for the bench
For me the biggest problem we had on Saturday was that to refresh the side / rejuvenate the play we only had youngsters to bring on - who definitely have some promise but aren't (for me) game changers right now - If we'd had Waghorn or maybe Marriott on the bench I think they might have made more impact 

The lad's going to be a top player. It's always astounded me that some folk can't, or wont see it. We've actually got an entire group of really exciting young players at the club right now and it's a delight to watch them maturing into senior football, despite all the distractions and chaos around them.
I'm particularly proud to see the fight and passion they seem to exhibit. Huge shout out also to all of our academy coaches who are doing a wonderful job and have been for a fair old while now. Lots of work still to be done, but some green shoots definitely in evidence.
Here's to a brighter future.

If its the interview on the club website you're referring to, I don't think that's quite what he said. I took it to mean he couldn't risk putting them with the U23s because they'd have been quarantined, so because he's had to bring them into the first team bubble, they can't go back to play games. At least, that's how I heard it. 

Yeah agreed. Like most people I wasn't his biggest fan at the end of last season but he's worked tirelessly to make the best of the situation he is in.
