Can you remind me how to do that please?

Click top right 3 horizontal lines,

    Then click account

    Then click ignored

It then gives you the option to name a new person to ignore.

  2. The Premier league and the independant body need to realise that they're setting a massive precedent here.

In the future, other clubs will expect punishment to be aligned to that issued to Forest, clubs may decide that signing that extra top international for £35m will earn them more than 4 points over the season, especially when you add on subsequent seasons value of that player.

Also, Leicester have grounds to argue that had Forest been deducted those 4 points last season, they wouldn't have been relegated. Could they sue Forest and/or the Premier league for their losses?

Not much of an incentive for the players to get promoted now is it? Or am I looking at it wrong

Or maybe the players try harder to be one of those retained in the Championship. Added to that plenty of players end up on the scrapheap each year, by 'giving up', they're not exactly going the best way to impress a new manager.

Would you sign a player, who couldn't be bothered, especially one playing for a team with so much to play for?

I see it as a challenge, to try and talk some sense into them, and also to at least try and understand how they think.

The trouble is that I believe that some of these posters are nothing but wums, by trying to persuade them to see the error of their ways, you are just feeding them. Every time one of us bites and replies to their ridiculous posts, they're laughing behind their keyboard that they've took another 'victim'.

There are 2 ways to sort this problem out, the quick way is for the moderators to kick them off, but that is difficult to identify the true wums. Secondly, it's up to us to just ignore them, without responses to their ridiculous posts, they will eventually give up and go away.

So did I but I have still been swept away on several occasions. The worst was when I got sucked right under by the surge when we scored against Man United. I was battered and bruised for weeks.

The old Popside was tame compared with the old Holt End at Villa, I used go with my Villa mates quite a lot in the 70s and was forever piling down the biggest terrace (17,000 capacity) in England.

Out of interest, there are many teams in league 1 with terraces for the away fans, which have been at capacity with likes of Derby, Sunderland, Ipswich, etc. Have there been any reports of safety issues at any of these grounds, especially as they're at grounds with less money to spend on safety?

I don't know how conclude anything other than the league being easier this season. Its the same teams competing at the top except you swap out Ipswich, Sheff Wed and Plymouth for Portsmouth. There's two less teams to compete against. The state of the three relegated Championship teams is a rare advantage. This doesn't mean Derby haven't improved since last season. They definitely have. The overall competitiveness of the league doesn't correlate to the quality of the teams in the league.

By the similar thinking the 4 rubbish teams that were relegated last season have been replaced by 2 teams challenging for the play offs, one mid table and one at the bottom. Of those 4 rubbish teams relegated last season, only one seems good enough to hold their own in the league below. That would suggest that the teams at the lower end of the table aren't as bad as last season and therefore there aren't as many 'easy' fixtures this season.

As per usual with statistics, you can usually turn them round to 'prove' a point.

The reason that Barkhuisen and Ward we t off is that they had both suffered slight muscle pulls and Warne didn’t want to take any risks. It might have backfired, but playing on with an injury could gave done so even more, especially with our existing injury record.

Yes, he indicated that taking Ward off was just a precaution, but that Barks was an actual injury, which is more worrying as he seems to be really buzzing at the moment.

We are all Derby fans on this forum. Why else visit and post and even register

I think that we need to face facts that there is at least one person on here, whose sole purpose is to wind everybody up. By replying to their posts, you are only encouraging them further.

A collective placing that person on ignore will starve them of their 'enjoyment' of ruining everybody else's.

Sounds like you only saw the stats, I'll sum it up for you but if you watched the game or the extended ignore it. We had one chance in the entire second half -you read that right- plus two half-chances in the first, nothing else of note; the other way keeper pulled two worldies, they hit the bar and came close at least a couple more times (50'-64'). Now I would agree the above against a tough opponent is "solid" if we were mid-table or lower, for an aspiring top 2/3 side at home I would call it "a stinker".

So be humble, accept we got the rub of the green (as has been the case numerous times this season, I make it win #9 where we haven't been the better side - 18 points right there for those who like their points and ppgs), be grateful for the result and move on, no need to get all snidey. Spare the gloating and glorifying for when we are actually decent and worthy winners, not after smash-and-grabs on our own turf. My tuppence anyway.

Maybe it was win #9 where we weren't the better side this season, but you don't mention the times when we haven't got the points we have deserved. So you can offset those 18 points with others that we have lost.

It's sickening reading your one sided anti Derby posts all the time, without any sense of balance.

We didn't deserve the win on chances yesterday, but the defence and the keeper did their job and kept a clean sheet, unlike the Bolton defence giving Wilson a free header. That's football, no lucky deflections or terrible decisions unlike the away game, just our players scoring more goals than theirs did.

On Tuesday we were much dominant than Bolton were yesterday, but were helped by some decisions that went our way.

However, the are the same people on here who say that we shouldn't have won on Tuesday because we only won because we had lucky breaks despite dominating the game, Then the same people say that we shouldn't have won yesterday because we didn't dominate the game, you can't have it both ways.

Anyway, I've had enough and for the first time, i'm resorting to putting you on ignore.

Plenty of refs would have given NML a red

But that would have been incorrect, NML was not out of control, just over stretched and his foot was firmly on the ground with no studs showing. So, again I give credit to the ref for getting the decision correct. As somebody else pointed out, Adams was flattened in the six yard box, but I missed that incident, you could say that plenty of refs would have given us a penalty there.

Why do some people try so hard to look for negatives in every game we win?

  11. At this stage of the season, you can't discount any of the top sides winning all of their remaining games, up to today Peterborough have just won 5 on the bounce and even an originally mid table Lincoln are on a great run.

Mathematically, we need 6 wins out of 7, in the very unlikely event that one of the 3 chasers wins all their games. Even a great run losing or drawing 1 game, will mean that 5 wins would be enough.

The defender also put an arm out to grab Gayle's arm briefly, so it wasn't quite as innocent as that.

I think the cover inside Gayle, and just about level with him, was probably what saved him but, whilst it would have been harsh, I've seen those given as red card offences, so he was perhaps lucky that the ref on this occasion gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Shaun Barker thought it was a red card and he's always right, isn't he? 😉

At the match, I thought that Gayle cleverly want across the chasing player, instigating the contact. But, I agree, after watching the replay, the defender does reach out to try and pull Gayle back, so definitely not so innocent.

  13. This ref is a weak ref who is easily influenced. Our away games at Plymouth and Bolton have showed this and again last night. I'm sure that he eventually, deservedly, booked one of their players because of the crowd reaction.

Also, I believe that Reading's cynical attitude throughout the game, turned him against them, they have been one of the most cynical teams to have played here this season and couldn't have complained if more than one player had been sent off. Refs are only human and you can't help but be ticked off when you see a team that has clearly come to spoil a game through cynical and negative tactics.

  14. A fully deserved 3 points, if a bit lucky with some questionable decisions by the officials. I thought that all of the contentious decisions were wrong from my viewpoint in the Lower East.

Having said that, Hourihane and Sibley's yellows were fully justified, but their players got away with many similar fouls. Maybe the sending off was harsh, but a couple of their other players should have easily seen red.

Justice served on a team, who only came to spoil and foul their way to a point.

They can but it would mean them winning all of their remaining games including v Wigan. Which would mean Wigan can't overtake us. So, it's as you were. 😀

The reality is that, taking into account the fact that teams have to play each other and therefore you can't just do the maths to see which teams could still catch us in order to work out our lowest possible position, it's far too complicated. I haven't got the time, energy or brain power to work out all of the possible scenarios but I'd guess we can't finish below something like 11th - possibly even higher.

Not strictly correct, Wycombe and Wigan can afford to draw against each other and still match our current points, overtaking us on goal difference. The others aren't brought into the equation yet, let's just hope we can tick as many off the list as soon as possible.

Charlton in 14th cannot overtake us, so technically 13th. But seeing as the top 13 will obviously play one another before the end of the season, mathematically it'll be higher than this, I just can't be bothered to work out how high!

But Wycombe in 15th can overtake us.🤔

Extra seats added in the South and East stand today.

Could they be season ticket holders who can't make the match offering them to the club for resale?

  18. I think that this photo shows where some of the original seats have been taken out.

It looks like a strip of about 3 seats immediately to the left of the south stand Rams fans, have been removed from top to bottom.

I don't know whether the same has happened in the East stand.

  19. When the away fans were in the south stand, there was only one line of segregation, now there are 2. Also if you look at the areas of segregation, not only are some seats blanked off, some of the original seats have been actually removed, so we have fewer actual seats in the ground compared with a few years ago.
