  1. I disagree, my claim to fame a couple of years back, was to take the ball off Lee Carsley in a charity walking football tournament in Birmingham. Maybe, I'm not a mere mortal.😂
  2. It was an end of season tradition at the old BBG, sometimes even before the final whistle.🙄
  3. Yes. why waste money on sending out postal packs, when every existing ST holder has an email address? Save the money for new players in the summer.
  4. Playing devil's advocate here, do we know that the FA didn't consult with the EFL clubs directly and get their views on replays in the 1st and 2nd rounds? I would have thought that most clubs would see replays in the first and second rounds as an expensive inconvenience. Technically speaking the EFL is a seperate competition and is only involved in making sure that their fixture list allows for their clubs to be able to play in the the FA Cup. In fact, stopping first and second round replays, will free up 2 midweeks before Xmas for league fixtures. Is this a case of the EFL organisation throwing their dummy out of the pram, because they're upset that the FA approached clubs playing in their competition went directly to the clubs rather than going through the EFL?
  5. I'll keep you in mind.............................................if Duracell doesn't take up my offer.🤔
  6. Hi Duracell, we have a pair of ideal seats for you, we picked the seats because we're close to friends on the opposite side of the aisle. We're stair 41, row kk, seats 398,399 immediately next to the aisle in the lower east in line with the edge of the centre circle on the south stand side of the half way line. Row kk is about 4 rows down from the entry stairs and the seats are on the right as you walk down to them. We could meet you at the bottom of stair 41 in the concourse or you can just let me know your seat numbers.
  7. If their defenders are dominant in the air, then get the crosses in hard and low behind the defenders, then get a nick off an attacker or a defender facing the goal.
  8. The poor lad has had a terrible injury record and I can't see any club offering a contract based on this. However, if he was able to sort out some kind of pay as you play contract, it would be a last chance saloon to prove his fitness, whether this be at Derby or elsewhere.
  9. But it's a couple of thousand down on their average this season, you would think that at this crucial point in the season, their crowds, like ours, would be higher than average.

Very true, I caught the end of the Ross County v Rangers game at the weekend. At the end of the match there were close up shots of the Rangers fans hurling abuse at their players, you didn't need to be an expert lip reader to make out what was being said.
  11. Where are people parking and drinking on Saturday?

We look back a CBT's miss and think that we're the only team that miss sitters. Looking at this and watching Liverpool v Palace on Sunday makes you realise that other players, including 'world class' players also miss sitters.
  13. I think that the Derby odds are the bookies being a bit over cautious, it would be interesting to see what our odds are for not making the autos. Remember, we probably need to win one game out of two and that's not a given in this league, as both Cambridge and Carlisle have got results against top teams this season.
  14. Yes, he's been doing that all along, now he's writing off Cambridge and Carlisle to get reaction out of them and also making the Derby players think that they've just got to turn up, to get the points.
  15. Although goal difference is in our favour atm, Peterborough are capable of a 5-0 or a 0-5. That 3 goal victory on Saturday could be so important as it gives us the edge, but only the edge. For Bolton to catch us, we need to lose they need to win, minimum of a 2 goal swing, which only leaves a 2 goal buffer.
  16. Was there all this negativity when Arthur Cox's team scraped into third place in this league courtesy of a dodgy penalty in 1985/86? Fortunately, that was the last season before the play offs were introduced, who knows what would have happened had we have to have gone through that process?
  17. Especially as the finish was with his 'wrong' foot.👏
  18. Warne's last relegation 'disaster' was with a Rotherham team with one of the lowest incomes in the Championship at the time, living on crowds of around 9,000. Further to this not only was money not given to him to strengthen the team, they actually made a profit on player sales of nearly £2m, which contributed to an overall profit of nearly £3m. This was after a promotion season when they again made a profit on player sales, nearly £1m on that occasion. Warne hasn't had any financial backing from his club in the past and has been working under restrictions for the last 2 seasons at Derby. On the one hand, you can defend him by saying that he hasn't had any financial backing in the past, but on the other hand you can question his experience in actually spending money on players. When comparing our spending potential next season, if we were to gain promotion, you need to consider what situation other 'non parachute payment' teams are in. Assuming that most of them have been loss making, they may be under pressure to balance the books, whereas we have a cleanish slate.
  19. Unfortunately, they've Rotherham and Huddersfield still left to play.
  20. We're going, thanks to my son who lives locally, signing up last year, well in advance.
  21. No player should have assurance that he's in the team, he needs to know that he's just part of the squad that's going places. As I've said, it's awkward to fit him into a 352 formation, but that's only one of several formations that we use and was only used yesterday because of circumstances regarding injuries and the opposition.
  22. I think that it's safe to say that the EFL, Middlesbrough and Wycombe all took advantage of Derby's delicate position. If we'd had a strong owner in place, they would have all been sent packing.
  23. Palace don't seem to be getting any decisions at Liverpool.
  24. Another table transfermarkt have is the table by minutes. Had there been no injury time this season we also would have been top, although Pompey would have a game in hand.
  25. Those seasons all had one thing in common, a lack of widespread social media. The moaners and the WUMs never had a platform in those years beyond their own small social circle. I'm sure that I would have been a lot happier this season, if I hadn't constantly reading some of the negative rubbish on here. But I like to read and write about the Rams with a vast majority of the fans on here and so put up with it. My way of combating it, is to have a few days away from the forum after a defeat or particularly poor display.
