I agree, Saffy. 
The interview and all the media around it has made me feel uncomfortable,  it's all overkill at this stage.
It went on too long - very complicated answers, thought Warne was trying too hard. My comment about the coffee was only partly in jest, he really needs to calm down a bit! Maybe the club could do the same. We've hardly signed up Fergie - and if we have he's more Darren than Alex! 
From where I sit, the fans were enjoying the fact we were trying to play football, weren't calling for the manager's head, so there's that bit of unease around the way Liam has been treated. He failed his target - so what was that? We were seventh after the start to the season we had, hardly dismissal material.
As for Warne, I didn't like him before, he's very aggressive on the touchline, a bit of a bully with the officials, I sit above the away dug out so see it every game. Seems to encourage his players in the dark arts, Crooks springs to mind as an example. A good footballer, but playing on the edge of legitimacy all the time - more bullying.
I think some players will respond well to him, but others? I don't know. I know I wouldn't want my boss texting me all hours with snippets - there needs to be boundaries, imo.
So, all that touchy feely stuff left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. 
However, what I did like, was when he started talking tactics. He suddenly grabbed my attention and I liked what I was hearing. My fears about the sort of football we're going to see have subsided somewhat, especially as we've not got those sorts of players available to him (currently).
If he can deliver what he says, and if he can tone it down a bit, I'll be happy. But I'm not in the fanclub yet!

Honestly really enjoyed his presser but you don’t get any league points for interviews
I am very wary of the media love in.
Rowett was maybe the most media savvy manager that we’ve had in my time (that bloke would have sent his son to North Korea if it meant he got a feature on football focus) but was also my least favourite Derby manager by a country mile and an arrogant little fraud
I see Owen Bradley tweeting ‘Paul Warne is the nicest man I’ve ever met ?’ and just remember him saying the same s*** about Paul Clement
Yeah he speaks well and is comfortable in interviews but I just don’t think that makes a successful manager
What I think you can gleam from that is actually informative:
- sitting with the rest of his staff and being social with the players, to me that sounds very self assured. Doesn’t seem like there’s an ego there, he’s not there to be the alpha male.
- Was pushed by a reporter for a Premier League quote but avoided the whole ‘get this club back where it belongs’ shtick and seemed very conscious that he may not be the one to do it (if it ever happens). Used the word ‘potentially’ a lot and just seemed very aware that football is football, he could be sacked. Lives in reality.
- already set up the idea we might not go up this year, to me it sounds like he has a two year plan and has been told by Clowes we need to be promoted out of League One by end of next season. Take into account what Rosenior said about being set a target by Clowes (that he didn’t meet) and that’s a reasonable assumption. AKA it’s a 4 year contract but really it’s 2 years.
- didn’t really pay homage to ‘how wonderful the fans are’ etc which yet again seems very assured, I don’t think he’s going to be affected by fan opinion/pressure or starting any bounces any time soon
- spoke about football as entertainment and theatre, a lot of people seemed worried we’re going to get defensive football but that quote indicates differently
Looking forward to seeing how he sets the team up on Saturday.

I'm not sure I buy that explanation. In the original interview after saying "that's disappointing (that Derby were staying up)" he went on to say, under his breath, "the less I say about that, the better".
But anyhow, all in the past, water under the bridge. Time to move on and look forward.
After all, we forgave Charlie giving the popside the two fingered salute.

Whilst I would never publicly show I don’t like him, I really don’t like him.
He’s a qualified accountant. He would have known more than anybody else, including Mel Morris, how dire the situation was. His role as CFO was to stop exactly what happened from happening.
If Mel went totally against what he advised then I’d fully expect him to walk out of the club in protest. He could have walked in to another job without any problems at all and the least he could do after it all went bang was sort out the mess.
I’ve worked in a PLC before where I’ve seen the Finance Director walk as they didn’t agree with underhand practices of the company which was forced from the shareholders.
There’s how many businesses that have got absolute peanuts in the pound from Derby as a result of what they did. Those responsible should not be allowed to be a director at another company again.
As I’ve said, I’ll never boo or do anything to cause a negative atmosphere, but he will never be a Ram to me.

Really like what I'm reading. The club has been toxic for so long, and it look like DC is trying to bring back some integrity and instil a better culture.

Really like what I'm reading. The club has been toxic for so long, and it look like DC is trying to bring back some integrity and instil a better culture.

It’s nice to see that the minutes are taken and released by a supporter group instead of waiting for the club to check them and not release them sometimes resulting in questions asked that we couldn’t answer.
In my opinion this is one reason why the forum stepped away.  I’m encouraged by the change of tact and openness by our new owner and Pearce.
