I think what is coming through now is just how effective in a negative sense has Gibson's spurious claim been. The delay caused by the claim and the way the EFL dealt with it (not) has meant that as each week has past the value of the Club has got less.
I genuinely believe that the Administrators thought they had a deal at Christmas only for it to be scuppered by the EFL effectively not having to comply with English Law.
Likewise something must have changed significantly in the last 10 days, most probably Ashley reducing his bid.
We may well carry on until the end of the season in a playing sense but we will still be under an embargo and will almost certainly lose all of the non contracted players and youngsters.
So we may not be liquidated but as good as - starting from scratch and on -15 points.
What a mess !!!

How do they know what the bidders have bid? This is not a news story just outlines worst case scenario. Pretty pointless…..no story here….

I am in the Philippines and noon was 8 hours 38 minutes ago. So I have known who the prefered bidder is for the last 8 hours but did not want to spoil your fun.

That's a bit unfair. She's been doing her absolute best to quiz the EFL, Quantuma and others and raise the profile of our case in Parliament. I'm not a natural ally of hers, or Pauline Latham, Heather Wheeler or Andrew Bridgen, but I'm happy to acknowledge they're doing their best to help.

I do wonder if the game will be on Wednesday after this weather and how willing we will be to even get the game on.
If it’s postponed then we go to Luton and Cardiff, then play Barnsley at home before Lawrence is back.
I bet we’d rather play Barnsley at home without Lawrence and get him back to play Millwall down the line.

So to be clear, the EFL can go back and alter the FFP thresholds, can go back and change their minds on accounting policies and Boro and Wycombe can go back and bring retrospective action against Derby but Derby cannot go back and argue anything at all?
Right then.

Hi David,
Could you ask him if he is going to review our points deduction punishments as these changes clearly favours our rivals and if not explain the fans will be pressing the Administrators to place an appeal in based on retrospective rule changes mid way through a season that disproportionately punish 2 clubs.....
Thanks

Now they’ve admitted that our original amortisation method wasn’t against the rules (as we all knew) can we resubmit our original accounts which wouldn’t have breached P&S by as much (so would result in a smaller points deduction) and also point out that by their admitting COVID has had a significant impact on club finances should mean that they shouldn’t have penalised us so heavily (if at all) for going into administration…..

Tough one really. I think he's being exploited for his lack of experience. I have absolutely no doubts about his quality. And no doubts about his ability to turn around his form. The strength of character he showed when he came in after his debut and calmness he had is very admirable. It'll see him well and back on song sooner or later.
Just don't know what's best here, stick with him knowing he has quality and he gets more experience with every game? Will that just expose him and set his progress back? Do we drop him out of the team for a bit? I expect its been a whirlwind few months for him, maybe he just needs to step back a little and drink it all in before coming back into the side? But then no player wants to be dropped, so does that kill his confidence?
One of the many reasons I'm not a manager, just don't know what's best for him. More importantly, what's best for the team? No matter what you say that comes first.

Seems to me that there is more to the Shinnie transfer than 30k alone. Maybe an automatic contract renewal at the same rate. In which case it does make financial sense if not football sense

I know. I'm all for principle, but if you'd told me last week that we'd have gone from a total £51m claim and looking like liquidation down to Mel sorting Boro and us chucking £90k at Wycombe to go away I'd have booked the rest of the day off work and gone straight to the pub!

If we're talking £90k, for the sake of the final hurdle going away we should just do it.
