I think Sibley will be going
Id try and tie him down to another couple of years then loan him out, where he’ll get played in his strongest position. Currently holding back his development being used in multiple positions imo.

If I’m Warne at this point from his comments, I’m getting a back up striker on a free and two loans for AM and LWB. We will compete and stay in the mix with what we have, then hope someone better becomes available to splash the budget In Jan. We’re still not financially In a position to be competing with championship teams and I think although we haven’t signed that standout striker we’ve done very good business both this summer and last to be able to compete.

If you live in Wycombe, Reading is an easy move if you have kids etc
People forget this when they say about players moving clubs and we should be beating the likes of such and such to signings. We have very nice training facilities, stadium and 30k fans but it's a new house and a new city (which ours is looking more of a **** hole every time you go into it) I do sometimes wonder if that genuinely puts players off, can't just take them to Duffield and hope they don't see the town 😂

An apparent Derby fan on twitter saying Loach has confirmed it's true at the Belper game, surely not!

Will he be available if needed for first team?

Seems to be that’s a ridiculous situation to leave ourselves in when he lost his place last season through not being remotely good enough.
Still got a feeling he's pulling something out the bag a name no one will expect, seems strange "leaks" are now getting out when they were all so tight before so hopefully it's just agents.

This could end up like when we signed Nugent instead of Watkins.
Blackpool or Reading will probably get Nombe for 500-750k then sell him for Millions in a couple of years!Stomachs just turned a bit reading that, I'd forgotten about that one!

With Rhodes being linked it's looking more likely that Collins is PW #1 striker this season and he's pinning his hopes on him delivering.

I agree would love to have Aassombalonga here like you said, if he has kept himself fit I think he would be absolute beast in L1.
Ive got a feeling Warnes going to pull a signing like this out of nowhere, a big name that will have the league quivering.

I fully expect to be ridiculed, but I stand by my prediction that Collins will comfortably score 20+ goals this season !!
The future’s bright, the futures Black & White !! 🐏🤗I'm with you, he's looking in great shape with some good service he'll hit that figure 🐏

Doing some great deals with clauses rather than cash, hats off to the club on these, much better than blowing millions on long contracts.

I also get the sense this may be more of a reflection of the situation Championship finds itself in financially. Gone are the days of teams like Bristol City (decent size, but no parachute payments) splashing £5m on even standout L1 players, maybe pre-COVID days we might have had offers of £3-4m from teams for Knight instead of £1-2m.
Come the end of the window, £2m might look sizeable in context.
Think you're right I was miffed at the figure until I started looking at other transfers, mainly free's and small fees currently to the championship. I think with an extra year on his contract we would've seen £3m

If we are going all in on the wing backs and crossing wide players then two centre forwards on the pitch is a must and one of them has to win headers - it’s the third division just get Andy Carroll in because if he gets the service he will win games in half an hour which would be the average he would play anyway
He's got another year at Reading, like you say could be a problem for L1 unfortunately won't be with us!

What exactly would you have the club do? Padlock him into the mower shed at Moor Farm?
Yep with Bucko on 24/7 watch

Grass is green, waters wet, Derby let a youngster go for peanuts.

And he’ll go to a L1 rival to get 2 more chances to stick it to us with a smile.
No doubt about that!

This will be his agent trying to get him one last decent pay cheque from a L1 club, dropping our name out there to squeeze a few more £ out of someone.

I'm warming to Waggy coming back. If there's limited options out there its better to have an option that we know will play for the shirt, get us a few goals and is apparently a great addition to the changing room, he was always spoken highly of from team mates.
