  1. Said it after Sheff Utd we need something more in front of them for it to work, Hourihane possibly undroppable now he's captain, Smith is playing well further up and Bird is now fancied further up but one of them needs sacrificing for a strong CDM that can move or we'll continue to get overrun through the middle.

    100%. Desperately need this.

Got to be a young Prem player out there surely? Man City had a really good winger with the most assists in u23 league last year, surprisingly they sold him for pennies to a Belgium team he’d of been perfect.

  3. Very similar to last season for me had a great 20 minute spell in the first half, but still one dimensional and ran out of ideas at the end playing only to wings, need some creativity in the middle and a pacey striker that can cut through defences.

Foz great finish and a good game defensively but 1/10 good crosses isn’t good enough for him in a wingback position.

Collins should’ve bagged in the first half I hope he can find that pre season confidence.

Kane Wilson will be like marmite very exciting to watch but also frustrating will do too much in dangerous areas and put us in trouble.

Need a few signings to compete, I think we’d scrape playoffs with what we have but we need something more in the middle and up top.

It would be a right kick in the teeth if we wasted time with Waghorn, giving him minutes in friendly games for him then to sign for a rival team.

It would certainly bring into question Paul Warnes 'pull' if a player who has previously played for Derby, lives near Derby and has been training with Derby for 3 weeks goes and signs for a club 2 hours up the road 😆

If they're offering double the contact length and double the wages, this could be his last pay cheque so for that you couldn't knock him.

Maybe Collins goes if we get Smith & Waggy in, then its frees up space for a 4th pacey striker?

Smith, Washington, Waggy & Collins / NEW

Might actually be something in this, id be pretty disappointed he's looked great in pre season and I think this will be a big year for him. But if PW fancies Smith and a bit of pace more then it would make sense.

  6. After someone posted Rotherham’s goals a week or so ago I thought what a signing he’d be, then thought absolutely no chance with Wednesday being promoted. Now it could actually be possible, announce promotion!

Might not be Rhodes that messed us about? Perhaps it was Huddersfield that put the brakes on any deal and Rhodes is as miffed as we are. No idea either way.

Or even the agent we all know what they’re like.

CCFC Season ticket holder/ Follow Rams from a distance having been born Derby.

Waghorn…Save your money.  He’s not going to do anything to justify paying his wages.

Godden….Sky Blues need to keep him.  If he moves to you, don’t expect a hatful of goals, but a player who creates and takes players away from your main striker.  As I say, he should remain in Coventry as he’s a grafter.

Maybe you’ll take Rhodes or Sharp we back up and free up Godden? We can wish! Good luck for the season, used to be one of my favourite away days Cov.

A bit random but I’m planning on meeting family on Saturday for a drink before the match and we’ve thought of the Blue Jay off Raynesway, purely because it’s convenient.  Anyone know if you can park there during the match if you’ve had a drink or am I going to get hit with one of those Parking Eye fines?  Just figured it’s easy to walk down by the River to PP.

Not 100% sure about here but if you carry on to Alvaston park you can park in there and walk down the river.

  10. Positives we look very good from crossing and set pieces, we haven’t had that for years!

Centre backs look solid making some great last ditch blocks.

    Wildsmith is still a cat.

Negative for me it’s highlighted an issue we didn’t think we had. With Smith and CH deeper and Bird further up, we look open to counter attacks through the middle, neither Smith or CH quick or big enough to break up play in the middle if we lose possession, hopefully they sit a bit deeper during the league games and it isn’t an issue, personally I think we need something else there.
