    It was always going to be unlikely for him to stay, I think Rooney leaving will have ended any slim chance of TL staying.
    West Brom under Bruce could go one of two ways, a chance for promotion to the Prem or mid table Championship mediocrity, best of luck to him either way.
    He’s got some talent, and some glaring blots on his copy book, but I wish him well. Had a good season last year, a few moments of brilliance in the past, not his fault we paid big money and silly wages he couldn’t consistently live up to.

    East Midlands today mentioning Michael Johnson could be involved in some capacity to help Rosenior

    As much as I like Knight, for me he just doesnt suit a 4231 formation and could command a decent fee, so I think should be sold to fund any incomings

    Barkhuizen winger, Hourihane attacking mid so in a 4231 would both be in the 3, imo

    If he can stay fit, CKR will be a fantastic option for L1.

    Andre Wisdom. Out of contract over 12 months ago. Still not got a club, knows our club & apparently not fit enough to get a deal when training with Sheff United & Birmingham. A cheap 12 month deal might work for both us & him

    The average L1 club has revenue of £6m. Given SCMP rules, that means the average L1 club has a player wage bill of less than £4m.
    Derby will have an estimated revenue of £15-18m next season. Even if the EFL imposed an astoundingly tough punishment of 25% of revenue of wages (a third of what a normal club relegated from the Championship can spend) then we'd still be on par with the average L1 club.
    Rules have to be the same for everyone. Wigan certainly didn't have anything close to a 25% limit when relegated whilst in administration. That would be a wage bill of about £1.75m. They were also allowed to spend significant sums on players the transfer window immediately following them exiting administration. It would be equivalent to us spending £2m on one player, then still spending more on other players.

    Just been looking at Ipswich Town's season ticket sales. So far they have sold over 15,000 tickets at an average price of £334.50, thats over £5m in their bank. If we get selling soon at the similar prices, even if we only sell around 12,000 thats over £4m in the clubs funds.

    My take in Rooney resigning is;
    i believe Rooney’s contract of circa £90k a week (£4.68m a year) was being entirely funded through 32Red and that deal ends on 30th June. Even if a new club purchaser wanted to keep Rooney, I doubt very much that the business plan going forward and agreed with the EFL would allow for £4.68m wages to Rooney and if it did allow for its inclusion, it would have to be ‘squared ‘ with the other staff, players wages.
    it would be financial suicide to commit potentially 1/3rd of wages. I get to a single manager.
    I think Rooney realised that and also due to his he’s been screwed at every point in his short tenure, I doubt very much Rooney wanted to continue with that formula, especially as his ‘potential signings’ would have been facilitated through Stretford et al a nd now he’s not in the equation, those potential signings look dead in the water.
    I actually think Rooney has done us a favour by saving the club £4.68m in wages cost, that can now potentially be used to rebuild the squad , presumably under Rosenoir’s leadership ??

    I would like to think the loan covers what has been the current annual wage bill. That way when all the uncontracted players leave there is a budget to be spent within
