Tom Ince was our best winger in at least the last 15-20 years & he wasnt lazy like people thought
The current England team is nowhere near as good as the team from the early 00's (Golden Generation).
Thorne should never have played vs Ipswich, wasnt worth the risk.....same for Mount vs Acc Stanley.
Nigel Pearson should have been given at least a full season, but then McClaren shouldnt have been sacked when he was the 2nd time around.
Simon Dawkins should have played more for us.

With a new manager and him having played in the first team, January would be more likely depending on where we are. New managers tend to hang on to players like band aids to give themselves the best chance of a good start, even if it's just for cup match cameos.
He might get a chance in the summer to impress but I would fully expect him to go out on loan this summer. Klopp kept him in the end due to injuries but going into next season Bobby Clarke would be behind the following centre mids...
Endo
MacAllister
Szoboszlai
Gravenberch
Jones
Elliott
Bajcetic
Thats if they dont renew Thiago's deal too. So if they dont renew Thiagos deal Clarke will be 7th choice but I would imagine their new manager will bring in a Thiago replacement, so its likely Clarke will be 8th choice.
I can see us being back in for Clarke this summer. Hopefully Kaide Gordon, Lewis Koumas & Jayden Danns are on our radar from their academy too.

I dont think he will be ready to step up to the Championship yet, he would likely be 4th or 5th choice forward so makes sense to send him out on loan again, either until Jan or on a season loan with a recall clause in Jan. That way if he does go out on loan & smashes it we can bring him back
-
Yes please, both him & Phillips would be good options ftom Barnsley

Personally these would be the first players I’d sign or go after. I think we need the following:
x1 GK
x1 LB
x1 CB
x1 CDM
x2 CM
x1 W on right
x2 CF
plus
re sign
Sibley
Thompson
wildsmith
Barks
Collins
Ebou
Johansson- GK - Rotherham- played under Warne very good goalie if Wildsmith leaves
Helik - Huddersfield CB 9 goals from CB
Sorba Thomas - Huddersfield 9 assists 4 goals W
Burrows - Peterborough Free LB
Randall - Peterborough 10 goals and 7 assists CM - fee
Kane - Barnsley CM - free 9 goals 5 assists
Campbell - Stoke Free CF - still only 24 could rebuild career here
Langstaff - Notts County CF fee I’d imagine anywhere between £700k- 1.5M might be out of budget but definitely has potential
So you say you would keep Wildsmith as well as sign Johansson even though we have Vickers? That would be pretty much 3 1st choice GKs, no point in that at all.

Vickers - Nyambe Nelson Cashin - Wilson Fornah Rooney Elder - NML Washington CBT
Leaving Ward & Bradley as first team backups
We need to focus on actual firat team quality, I feel like we have decent squad players now but er need to improve the starting 11 significantly, especially centre mid & striker
-
I wonder if he is someone that Wrexham might go in for, they probably have the money to do it
-
Hector Kyprianou would be a decent signing, 1 year left on his deal, only 22 & in a position we need.
Was one of the best players to visit Pride Park this season imo, he bossed the midfield that day

I watched a podcast interview with Ed Dawes on earlier & he seemed to think Collins has a year left on his deal & the way Collins spoke on the EFL podcast it seems like he will be here next year....maybe he is 1 of the players who triggered a contract extention based off appearances or promotion.

Warne has confirmed this will be released this upcoming week

He’s out of contract this summer
He would still command a compo fee I believe which would be above our budget

The five names I’ve heard there’s interest in from us are:
Brannagan
Jackson
Wiles
burrows
Langstaff
Not a chance we would be able to afford Burrows

Some decent free agents this summer, we hopefully can bring in 4 or 5 on frees.

Divin Mubama likely to be released by West Ham this summer according to Football Insider, he's a forward we've been linked with in both previous transfer windows so would expect him to be linked again.
Would be a very good signing at this level
-
Kayden Jackson from Ipswich would be a decent signing, can play upfront or wide. Has pace, good at pressing & is on a free this summer

Yeah my only concern is he doesn’t seem to offer much without the ball at all. Doesn’t seem a Warne player in any way but he obviously is a fan. Let’s see what he’s like in the new season.
Im sure Sheff Weds fans were saying the same about NML.
I wonder if his lack of effort off the ball was more down to fitness & recovering from injury. Also I think at one point Warne told NML to not to worry about tracking back so he had more impact in attacking areas (may have been last season) so maybe Warne did the same with CBT knowing he doesnt yet have the fitness for both.
I agree with others, a full preseason with Warne will do him the world of good, it certainly helped NML go up a level from last season.

Warne has openly stated that the squad will be ripped up ahead of next season
-
We have to remember that we can name 9 subs next season so we will likely have a bigger squad than we currently have, probably a squad of 25 plus a couple of youngsters.
Wildsmith - Keep
Forsyth - Keep on a 1yr deal
Sibley - Offer a deal, even if its just for compensation purposes
Thompson - See Sibley
Barkhuizen - Keep
Smith - Keep on a 1yr deal
Hourihane - Release
TJJ - Keep if he can prove fitness over the summer
Gayle - See TJJ
Waghorn - Release
Collins - Release
Personally think we should then look to loan Rooney & Brown out. Potentially loan out Fornah and/or Thompson (if he stays) but that would depend on incomings.
We have to try & keep Adams.
-
I think we have to & will offer Sibley & Thompson deals, just purely for compensation purposes if they dont stay.
Id personally keep Thompson, Smith, Wildsmith & Barkhuizen.
