I will be writing to Gibson if they finish 7th, saying how funny it was that while he was pursuing Derby for events that were so 2019 he missed that he was having his FFP pants pulled down by another club this season.

Masood struggling a bit today, not scoring much and playing and missing. Looks like a decent opening attack and overcast conditions, hopefully he can see them off and then get in the groove.

Nice little story about Chris Martin from yesterday.
He had promised one of our really regular fans a signed shirt just before lockdown. Life took over and he was subsequently transferred out without seeing her again.
She stopped behind to see him earlier in the season away at Bristol City away and mid conversation he recalled about the shirt.
Knowing he would probably see her again yesterday, he brought the signed Derby shirt, which he'd obviously saved, with him to give to her. Genuinely nice bloke.

A promotion battle would be a great change from the football. Some Leicestershire fan suggested our nickname should be the "woodenspooners" in the chat but another replied "no they have changed", hopefully we have.

Nothing. We could only get compensation if we offer a contract. Which we can't.

I don't think it was Mel's cleverness that was the problem, as other have remarked creative accouting practices are rife in football and the rest of the business world, and most could be brought to book with the right sort of investigation. Mel failed on the PR front, he pi**ed of the wrong people and we got witch hunted. It ended with the EFL determined to see us relegated  when it was clear the IDP look at the the evidence and had no such view.
What worries me is the EFL might still have it in for us despite Mels departure, and give us a business plan for the next three years devised to make us uncompetitive.
