Yeah, me & my fellow South Leeds Ram will be getting our first ever season tickets as soon as they're on sale. Watched that many games last season, it made sense to finally take the plunge & I dont want to miss the rebuild.
@Ellafella whilst we have our fans & a club, we have everything. Managers come & go and players come & go, its all cyclical. We are so far below our natural level (16th-20th in country) that the only way is up now. The defiance & that sense of injustice won't go away easily and will galvanise fans more than say, another attempt to finish 17th in the Prem (Hi Leeds). I was far too young to appreciate mid 80s but always strikes me how much more fans talk about those Division 3 days & rise through the leagues rather than finishing 5th in 88/89.
Plenty of good days ahead I'm certain. Winning more than we lose, raucous away days at grounds we've never been before, a sense of pride that when times were as tough as it could be for any club of our stature, we rallied as a fanbase & stood together. We're gonna live forever. COYR

24th June 2022 will go down in the annals of DCFC as a day we started on our long journey back to some sort of stability and then, later in the day, the rug was pulled from under us. Was like every Ram super excited about Clowes involvement thinking this could be the end in sight of ridding MM's influence finally away from my beloved team. Rooney's departure was inevitable but perhaps the timing could have been better. It may have been the Kirschner fiasco; the uncertainty of where the new owner wants to go; could DCFC pay his wages (or was he asked for a cut in his pay?) No one will know. But I would like to add that last season was one of the best I have witnessed in all my years supporting my team. Yes we went down but the unity that Wayne exuded to the players, the staff and to us the supporters I will truely be grateful for. Wayne thank you for what you did for this team and the supporters. I wish you all the very best in whatever you do in the future and you can leave us with your head held high. For DCFC it's a time for rebuilding, a time to be away from the limelight and build a team that can compete. I will still buy my season ticket and support this frustrating, beautiful enigma of a club whoever is the owner, whoever is the manager, and whoever owns PP. I am one of many many supporters who will still be there on the terraces because it is in my DNA! UTR!

Has he misunderstood what's being referenced in the term "tighty-whities"?

I voted mid table mediocrity in premier league. Been there watched us at that level,   remains the highlight of my Derby supporting life but also remember people getting wound up that smithy wasn’t the guy to take us to the next level and Europe. No one is satisfied. We always want more.
Im Derby through thick and thin but f*** me im not happy with us being in league one and the Bamfords being premier league. But I’d never shirk my allegiance.

Regarding the boring premier league, family connections mean I could support United city or the Geordies, I’ve plumped for City in honour of my Nan and also to piss my Derby born Liverpool fan mate off (he has no connections other than he’s a glory hunter, or the classic I liked the silver candy sponsored away kit in the late 80s/early90s so started supporting them)

If you are a true and loyal supporter of your club, not just Derby County, you take the rough with the smooth, the agony and the joy, but you remain a fan to your home club all your life.
I've been supporting, home and away, in the sunshine, snow, wind and rain, for 60 years, and I've seen it all from 1962 to 2022, with the good, bad and mediocre managers and players, but they all come and go in the end, but as a supporter all you can really do is watch and argue from the side lines with your mates and family of what the club and team should be doing.
I've watched and read about all the controversies, the record breaking transfers, the sackings and bust-up's, and twice, under Maxwell and Morris, close to liquidation, the promotions and relegations, but I'll still be there on Saturday 30th July to see them kick-off another season, my 61st.
Whoever the new owner, new manager and players are going to be, let's get out our flags, scarves and shirts and give them our wholehearted support for another season.

Interesting people talking about possible link ups. Clowes was definitely in with Appleby a couple of weeks ago. Would make a lot of sense to utilise AAs sports network. The person who suggested bringing in Gary Cook as CEO is a good shout. He could have his own ideas.

Short term - we must keep Rooney and as much of last seasons squad as possible, this will give us our best chance of a quick return to the championship. We must give Rooney some headroom to get some players in, we’ve already missed out on our no 1 targets. Hopefully we can use the loan system to good effect. We need the right mix of energy, exuberance, talent and experience. We won’t have much of a budget so focus has to be low cost short termism to be competitive, no committing to long deals unless it makes sense.
Medium Term - Sort out the club mess, the structure etc. Recruitment needs an overhaul and if we are to ever get back to the premier league we’ve got to box clever when it comes to recruitment. Smart signings with resale value, good academy signings (we’ve been quite good here) and continue to keep the academy at the forefront for our development, this is probably even more important now given we won’t be making record signings until we are in the Premier League again, which let’s face it could be a long way off.
Hopefully this chastening experience has reset expectations amongst fan base and made people realise what’s important. It certainly has for me. It’s not chasing to be in a Premier League which all becomes about the big 6 and you are irrelevant, it’s about being Derby and proud to be Derby and enjoying the success and rolling with the punches in more depressing times.

A huge positive is this is probably the lowest point in our history, not much lower we can go therefore we’re going to see some success in the next few years, maybe even a successful Wembley final or two!! Can’t wait.

Hurry up Q, accept the bid and then pi $$ off. Come on DCFC get these season tickets sorted out! Wayne, can play drop back goalie if needed! UTR!

For an genuine apology, one would need an empathy, a courage and maybe even a bit of a regret. Or in this case, some PR skills.
