Tamworthram got a reaction from Turnstile in EFL Verdict
How so? If we fail FFP with our revised accounts, we’ll get a points deduction anyway regardless of if they’d appealed.
I think it is simply a case of, as their lawyers say, they do not have a strong enough case to appeal the punishment already handed out. Any penalty for a subsequent FFP failure penalty is totally separate.

That is exactly what I said. They’re not appealing because their lawyers are telling them not to and not because they think we might get a bigger punishment next season.

They should have read the posts that state quite clearly why the LAP didn't find it appropriate to impose a retrospective (or otherwise) points deduction. I imagine the EFLs lawyers told them they'd be pissing in the wind!

You’re right, that’s exactly what it is, however, a professional organisation should not look as if it’s on a mission to punish a member club, a bland statement saying following legal advice there are no grounds for an appeal would have sufficed.

with the months we have had don't you Mel has asked for draft figures in case the worst should happen? Can't believe they don't already know and have known for some time. Anybody have an idea why there may be a legitimate reason for why they couldn't have calculated the impact?

It seems to me @Sheikh n Bake that you have almost moved away from a fair and reasonable opening question to a stage whereby you are challenging people when they declare their intention to continue to renew regardless (apart from for personal reasons). I don’t know if you’re a bit of a WUM, on some kind of evangelical mission or are simply trying to convince yourself.
You may find it incredulous that some of us will always renew without much, if any, hesitation (and don’t really care much how the price of pies at PP compare with other grounds) but that’s just the way it is.

Its been over a week now since the appeal result & punishment was announced. Surely the fact the IDC knew their outcome their report really shouldn't need to take a week to type up? I know it will be long & complicated but seriously, it wont take any longer than a day for someone to type it up correctly.

Here's one possibility- the efl is currently trying to get Wycombe to calm down and call off the attack dogs so it can annou ce it will not appeal. That's why it's taking so long.

I don’t know what input into them but I think parachute payments are a little different to disciplinary punishments and relegation. Just my opinion.

As for the Estate Agency who sacked him...fair play, I wouldn't want a idiot like that working for me.

At least the shortage of players could be a benefit when it comes to trying to loan Prem players because the Prem clubs will know there is a good chance of their players getting a lot of game time with us.
Mengi for example, good chance he will play 30+ games if he stayed fit

Wycombe gained one more point - after the event. IMO, Wycombe do not deserve a reprieve either, taking into account the fact, as pointed out, that they went into the final day with their fate virtually guaranteed. You say giving Rotherham additional points is madness yet giving a reprieve to a side who needed a 13 goal swing makes sense? Rotherham came within 7 minutes of achieving safety, (two from normal time) though I accept the argument that nobody knows what would have happened in our game v Sheff W if the scores were level and we had to go for a win.
If relegation happens & Wycombe reprieved, well, there's nothing I can do about it. The lack of preparation, bedding in any new signings pre-season and the fact that we have not moved on from Survival Saturday does not bode well . The only consolation should it happen, as mentioned by @LeedsCityRam, is that other big sides have regrouped, it might just be a good while/feel like treading water.
I think we will have to respectfully beg to differ. I'm not here to bang you into submission, but neither can I agree with you, it's just what happened to Rotherham sits ill with me, as did what happened to Wigan last season, final league standing, EFL rules, whatever. So we're coming from it from different angles. I agree mine is the more eccentric, but no, I do not look like Vivian Stanshall.

If indeed he was on a largely incentive based contract, it was a risk with considerable upside if it came off as he has the potential to be a very good player at this level, and so one worth taking.
As it was, it didn’t come off, but the outlay would appear to be minimal. Would imagine he now goes with everyone’s best wishes. Hopefully he can get playing again but first and foremost hopefully he is able to get himself well again.

Well 2 of our August champ games (Peterborough & Forest) & Salford in the cup have been selected to be on TV by Sky so surely that puts the EFL in a tough spot if they're trying to get us relegated, a bit of TV pressure on them
