Small sample size I know, but of the 5 season ticket holders that I go with, we are all disappointed with performances but none of us want him sacked.

I’m not too bothered about the fact that they scored. They were always going to start scoring goals eventually and you’d have to be seriously sensitive if you think it makes us a laughing stock, I’m just disappointed we didn’t win.
Also, whilst Warne must take joint responsibility for us failing to win I fail to see how he can be completely responsible for the single incident of their goal.
Would you have still been fuming if we’d conceded a goal but run out comfortable winners?

Apart from a few exceptions (for example Liverpool didn't "deserve" to have their goal ruled out and we didn't "deserve" to have Wildsmith sent off at Bolton), you get what you deserve. We deserve to have as many points as we've got because, quite simply, that's how many we've got and I don't think any of them have been earned as a result of a bad decision by the officials or a fortunate/unfortunate ricochet or deflection.
We're currently not playing well enough to justify a play off spot and certainly not got enough for top two. But equally, we're not bad enough to be any lower.

But how do you know any dip in attendances isn’t down to our home results rather than style of football? I bet if we’d picked up 4 or 5 more points at home, but still playing Warneball, (meaning we’d be 3rd or 4th) there wouldn’t be too many concerns over attendances.

The booing came from the usual suspects, who got into the ground just after kickoff, spent most of the game arguing with the stewards or trying to chat up one young steward who wasn’t remotely interested, standing on the stairways despite repeatedly being asked to move and chanting we’re Derby County we do as we want.
Several of them stood directly on the barrier and behind the goal blocking the view of anyone on the front row, by this time the stewards had just given up.
If you asked them for a summary of the game they wouldn’t have a clue, but then booing at the end because we didn’t win.
    Still, their opinion matters, right.

It would be hypocrisy if I were the same in my professional job. Otherwise, it's not hypocrisy because I don't expect the standard to apply uniformly and in all contexts.

I wasn’t at the game today and admittedly am desperately looking for any crumbs of comfort but “current form” has to end sometime. What’s to say Cheltenham’s form might not turn around now under their new manager?

It is hyperbole to say “no other team in this division would be happy with the performance or result yesterday”. Plenty of other teams in this league would be happy to go away from home, dominate the game against their opponents, and have a point to take home.

See this is another example of that extreme hyperbole that goes on without much balance. I think plenty of teams in this league would be happy to get a point away from home.
I didn’t say we, as Derby County fans or the club itself should be “happy with the result”, I also didn’t say we should be happy with the performance. What I did say is it’s nowhere near as a bad a performance as some are making it out to be. I get that Warne isn’t everyone’s choice, I understand why people aren’t enjoying some of the football this season, but yesterday we had plenty of possession, there were passes between blue shirts, and we had plenty of shots that were either poorly executed or well saved. It is a frustrating result, it’s 2 points dropped against a team we should have beaten, it’s not the worst we’ve played this season by a long distance.

Saying that fans don't have many avenues to make their thoughts known is really unfortunate....there's this forum, there's Twitter or X, there's the recent fans forum at Pride Park, there's Instagram....
With all these avenues to be able to express themselves I do find it disappointing that certain fans can't feedback their thoughts without it descending into personal abuse which I totally agree with you on.
Says more about the "fans" then anything connected with the club.

Having just watched the highlights back (which omit a couple of other half chances our profligate forward line failed to take) I genuinely don’t get those who are saying the overall performance wasn’t good enough. The result wasn’t good enough, but we created enough chances to win the game.

There was passing football, we did keep the ball on the floor at times and played it long at others, we did open them up both down the channels and through the middle, we failed to take the chances created. There’s no way, in the cold light of day, that performance is as bad as some make out. Their goal comes from us tarting around at the back and failing to clear it long, the one thing lots of people claim is the only thing this team does.
The result was not good enough, the performance should have seen us win.

    Ridiculous!
Results drive attendances, are we doing badly in 8th? Some griping fans on a forum will not affect Clowes, How does the loss, should it happen, of some fans compare to the cost of compensation payments if sackings happen? Get back to the real world.
