Forget the purse strings this squad should be going better than they are. How a midfield containing the likes of Bird, Hourinane and Smith are not dominating games is beyond belief

Well the comment about Warnock was a joke in bad taste because of his age and I apologise for any offence it may have caused.

As for Taarabt, he was a talented “resource” available to Warnock upon his arrival at. Who is to say any manager taking over at QPR at the time wouldn’t have done exactly the same?
Regarding Warne, we may not like the way he operates, we may not think he’s the right manager for Derby but of all the less than complimentary things we might say about him, describing him as a dinosaur wouldn’t be on my list and this is the first time I’ve heard him called one by even his most ardent critics on this site.
To clarify, my comments weren’t intended as a defence of PW (if that’s what has upset you). I was found it odd to describe him as a dinosaur of all things.

I’m not 100% sure but I think you have to submit your pitch dimensions at the start of the season and you can’t change them after that.

Dinosaur? Has Warnock been appointed already? 😀
I can think of many things to call PW but dinosaur isn’t one of them. Also, what has Pearce got to do with anything? If you’re alluding to his time under Mel’s tenure, this has been discussed at length and I think most accept that if DC feels he’s worthy of keeping on we should respect that decision. It seems odd to lash out at him right now.

Why did you feel it necessary to give a petty reply back even after the OP had said that they admitted that they do have a tendency to churn out negative stuff about Warne on a regular basis?
    Don't understand your mentality.
Am sure you moan about bickering on here yet you've just proved you contribe to that yourself by replying with an unnecessary snidey comment.

Must admit I never thought I'd see @Ghost of Clough being called a hater, toxic or one of the usual suspects, or someone who doesn't get the art of discussion

Personally I’m still in the pro-Warne camp.
We will win 3-0 on Tuesday and the fans will be singing Warne’s name for the right reasons again.

Have to agree. I'll be there again on Tuesday night but not with a great deal of belief that we'll put in a good performance and win comfortably (hope I'm wrong obviously).
I wasn't at Blackpool but I was at Peterborough. My recollection of the game is that we were under pressure for the first 20 minutes (as you'd expect against a likely play off contender) then had a purple patch for half an hour or so.
The second half, I seem to recall, was mostly one way traffic but I don't remember feeling particularly worried and we seemed to manage the game quite well. Obviously a three goal cushion helped. 😀

    Here we go again.
We have had 1 bid in the last 4 years for him. £750k from Millwall.
    It's always someone's else fault.

Watching Sibley in games recently I am more and more convinced that he is being over-managed!
Zlatan used to say that he was a Ferrari being driven like a Fiat!
Sir Matt Busby said to Bestie “George, just be in the round 15 minutes before kick-off and you’re in the team!”
Sibley is too good to be micromanaged. Would it be best for Mr Warne to let him off the lead and play to his strengths?
Use him or lose him to a Prem team and watch his value multiply for them!

Of course he’s not coming back but why do you hate Rooney with such vengeance that you’d shred your season ticket? I wouldn’t be overjoyed but not downhearted enough for such drastic action. Come to think of it, I can think of many other managers I like much less but if any of them were appointed I’d grudgingly get behind them, continue to support the team and hope it worked out well. A classic example is Warnock - a name a few have banded around on this forum. I really don’t like the guy but if he ever did become a Derby manager it wouldn’t stop me attending games and he’d be my next hero if he got us to where we want to be.

Don't agree with the third point. Fans shouldn't be consulted but the owner has to be aware of his customers view or he's in danger of losing them.

A chairman should always, always have more patience than the fans. I've no problems with DC not pulling the trigger just because we're unhappy on a forum/the terraces.
You'd also expect him to have someone lined up, were he to sack Warne. Perhaps that work is ongoing behind the scenes, maybe DC has a target he has to wait for, so it makes sense to keep Warne until then. Only Clowes will know.

Probably because a) there is a tendency to overreact on forums like this especially after a defeat and b) DC speaks directly to PW on a regular basis I would imagine. Their conversation will no doubt include things PW doesn't want to or can't share with the media and therefore we're not aware of. We can only speculate as to what they discuss, how they feel about the current position and how/when we're likely to get out of it.

I know it’s the usual if’s, but’s and maybe’s but it’s a sobering thought that if it wasn’t for points deductions we’d now be closer to automatic relegation than automatic promotion. 🙁

It's crystal clear to me that the players aren't happy. Something isn't right behind the scenes. Unhappy players coupled with unhappy fans means the manager has to go. Sorry but there is no other way forward.
