deanoakaram4life got a reaction from Walkley Ram in So who would we have then?
Eustace would definitely be keen and would be 1st choice in my opinion! Who wouldn’t want to take us on, the only way is up from this dross we are being served up!

Want to clear up any confusion. Meeting took place this morning. I have no idea what was said. My source has told me things have been off for weeks. They expect that he won’t last till the international break

There's no way he can stay.
If I owned the club and there were no fans to consider, I'd give him another month to make the squad gel and decide at the end of November whether to sack him or give him until April. The season is still salvageable and it's normal for teams to struggle with such a high turnover.
The problem is he's lost the fans. Now failure is guaranteed. The atmosphere in the dressing room will be difficult enough, but as soon as things go a bit wrong on the pitch, the players will really struggle to cope with the toxic atmosphere in the ground. Under those circumstances, team cohesion dissappears, the players become overly cautious and their energy levels drop.
Warne could be saved by a good run, but the hostility of the fanbase will make that impossible. Players get paid a fortune because, to people like us, football is so much more than 22 men kicking a bag of wind around. We spend our cash because we care. Football needs emotional attachment, and it's a facet of that which makes Warne's position untenable.
It's best for everyone if he goes now.

Emergency meeting happened this morning, got the vibe from my source that were going to be looking for a new manager soon

Most of the fans want him out, but DC and SP want to stick with him. Dreadful stuff. Whether they like it or not, once the fans turn its game over.

That was an embarrassment, his position is now completely untenable. Please Derby do it today, we need someone in by Tuesday.

Unfortunately we have a League 1 manager, even if he's gained promotion from it - relegation followed immediately.
There are plenty of managers in the leagues above and in other countries leagues who have never succeeded at League 1 level, but I'll settle for someone who has better ideas and is more able to realise ambitions! #COYR

He’s put himself in this position with his overseeing of recruitment. Both Pompey and Oxford had big squad turnovers. They went for younger players wanting to work their way up through the divisions. We went for the tried and tested dross that has got us nowhere in the last 10 years. The signings of Washington, Waghorn and Bradley could have probably got us x 5 players wanting to put their all in for a massive club!

Personally I’m still in the pro-Warne camp.
We will win 3-0 on Tuesday and the fans will be singing Warne’s name for the right reasons again.

He has to go for me regardless! The aim this year was top 2. We are in a terrible league this year with distinctly average teams in the division. The very fact Fornah made his 1st touch in the 14th minute speaks volumes to me…. Bypass the midfield…. Get as many crosses in as possible and hope for the best.
There’s no guile, no patterns of play just end to end garbage. Shrewsbury were by far the better team yesterday and seeing Curtis Nelson launch every throw in into the box made me think “is this all we have got?”
Come on Clowes! Let’s get John Eustace in, play Bird as a holding midfielder and let’s get marching up the division!

There’s no way you’d even think of creating a budget in professional football that doesn’t include managerial casualties!

Did you watch their match on TV during the international break. The game where Mansfield 'tore them a new one'. County were awful. They played some of the most slowest and boring football I've seen in years. County can keep their gaffer.

There’s been plenty of polls and a few ‘Warne Out’ comments, but thought I’d start the definitive ‘Warne Out Out’ post, which as fans of a particular Sarf London comedian means ‘properly out!’
No messing, I was on his side at first, but am tired of the utter banality of our football; mid table mediocrity and I don’t care what he did at Rotherham.
Please can we bring back some McLaren-esque footy, something to actually ‘entertain’ the fans? I’m sure I read somewhere that football should be entertaining 🤷♂️

Ipswich spent millions in league 1 to get them out of the division, we have relied on frees and short term deals this summer!
Warne can only work with the squad that he’s got and there is a massive wage in Sonny Bradley who is sat in the bench week in and week out! The recruitment is the problem this year. Oxford brought in Ruben Rodrigues and Harris, two players we could have easily attracted!

deanoakaram4life got a reaction from Hector was the best in Can anyone actually name a single improvement Warne has done since arriving?
The problem with him for me is that he talks about a high pressing, all guns blazing approach but the amount of times we sat deep today was concerning. Every time we defended a set piece, every single player was back! After we scored we again….. sat back!

The seemingly “difficult” run of fixtures is now over for Warne. Struggle against Carlisle and Cambridge and it will get harder and harder for him.

deanoakaram4life got a reaction from uttoxram75 in The Paul Warne Poll
I personally think that we should give Paul Warne at least 3 of his allotted 4 year contract. It’s a monumental task that he has taken on. The glaring amount of players out of contract next year mean another rebuild and don’t forget, these players( Mendez lang, Hourihane, smith etc) are only getting older!
