Quite frankly, if we win 90% of our games with a scrappy goal off Collins arse or NML shin then defend for 90 minutes I’ll still be happy. We are not in the league to enjoy it, the club have one aim this year and that’s to get out this league.

When are the South Stand going to get behind the team again, I’m in the North Stand and most the time it sounds like only about 30 people singing. It’s now time to improve the atmosphere

I turn up with a metaphorical smile on my face, but I ain't exactly buzzin'.
It ain't buzzin' on the approach to, or around the outer perimeters of, the stadium, 10 mins before KO.
I'm happy to sit and watch, applaud a good move, cheer a goal or a close effort.  I even occasionally go "Ooh" for a near miss.
But I don't think I've started a NE rendition of "Come on Derby" all season.  Even after going a goal down.
Something needs to click, for us all to be buzzin' again, I reckon.
Maybe we're not far off that click?  Next month?  Easter?  Not quite this season, but hopefully next?
Who knows when it will happen, but we need that click.  We need to have something happen (on the pitch) that brings back the belief.  We ain't there yet.

It was markedly busier than usual in West Stand Lower, which is usually a good indication of an increased gate.
Lots of people scuttling back and forward for refreshments, lots of photos being taken, obviously not regulars.
Made no difference at  all to the noise level as there was little to no singing and only polite applause. It felt like we were in a tourist stand.
Of more concern to me is the lack of sound emanating from the areas traditionally packed with season ticket holders. I haven't heard South Stand so quiet for ages.
Usual exception for the drummer and his hardy gang of song starters. Rest of Stand wasn't joining in though.

Some Forest fans seem to lament his absence. They think he "got" the dressing-room vibe and is missed.
If that's the case, their dressing-room must be full of 13 year-olds waiting for their voices to break.

I don't hate Forest. I literally never visit their forums either, it's just fun taking the piss out of the pet gump given he's plenty to say about our travails. As for their current curve, well it looks a bit shyte for them. I watched them the other night and for the number of times that Gibbs-White actually beat another player they might as well of had Barry White instead. £38 million on that plus his salary, signing fee, agent's fees... Then there's Lingz 😂 The only guy who seems of Premier League ability is Awoniyi and they're completely lost with him out.
All of that being said, when they do fall to earth, I will have a good old laugh and I won't be caring much if they hit the skids either as they were pretty cunty when the same happened to us.

Last season we went on an 18 (?) game unbeaten run - why weren't we building on that? Why did we need to start again as some are suggesting? I have no idea what most of you are standing up for, we look no better than when Warne arrived. He's had a year and two transfer windows. He's got a stronger academy. What has he done? But we have to give him more time because that is the only way to tell if he's any good. #whatever

I completely understand the reasons why people are becoming disillusioned with football.
But, objectively, I'm pretty sure it's never been as popular (I don't have the stats to hand but I'm sure I saw an article on it the other day). The level of interest in the Premier League, for example, is absolutely insane. Not to mention the thousands (probably tens of thousands), of podcasts, Youtube channels, etc, that surround it. And the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Twitter accounts engaging in a ludicrous volume of football discourse every single day.
The quality of media has also really increased IMO. I found this episode of Gary Neville's new show an incredibly compelling watch.
I think the game is naturally changing with the changing generations. It's just a shame that it's coinciding with sportswashing and the like.

This is my first post on this forum, but with Daniel’s passing I wanted to mark this wonderful man’s contribution to Rams and this forum. He was a truly inspiring gentleman who we should all learn from. His positivity was legendary as well his generosity and gentility. The last few years of aggressiveness between contributors has been depressing and B4’s positivity has shone out like a beacon to unite us all.

over the years I have always enjoyed the cohort of writers on this forum who have  defended Daniel from the various idiots who have not understood his positive outlook on life. I am deeply sad that B4 is no longer with us. My heart goes out to his family, I can’t imagine what they are going through. The outburst of support on this forum is hopefully a consolation for the love that Rams fans had for him. I never met Daniel but his heart felt passion touched, me liked many on this forum. His passion during the darkest hours made me believe. The main part of his belief has left me believing that we are lucky with what we have, and we should support our club. Yes I know that there are issues with the management but we must remember that we were seven days from destruction. B4 would be reminding us now that we are lucky and to get behind the team rather than bickering. He was a wonderful man and I feel privileged to have shared his outlook on our great team.

I know it sounds a bit unusual but I think we should celebrate B4 with a statue outside Pride Park. There are few truly great fans and Daniel is a great man to celebrate as a Rams fan. I hope we get promoted this year as a tribute to this wonderful man. RIP Daniel, and thanks for all your wonderful posts
