Tombo got a reaction from Papahet in West Ham (H) FACR4 Mon 30th Jan
If he could do that, it may go some way to solving one of his many problems.
If he could then work on his work rate, his pace, his discipline, his dribbling ability and his fitness then we might have a half decent player.
Unfortunately all of those attributes are below par for this league, even for a one-dimensional player such as him. He has scored quite an amazing amount of goals all things considered, despite himself, not because of his ability

Tombo got a reaction from Gee SCREAMER !! in Bielik at Brum
That's what I mean, inheriting a player we're only half interested in and their wages is not something that helps us. I don't think we'll struggle to get the dosh from someone else, I've no mind to do Birmingham City any favours. I'll be throwing my party instead... ?

Tombo got a reaction from Carl Sagan in England the next tournament.
I thought it was time for him to leave going into this tournament. I thought he'll step away and that's for the best.
You'd think after going out in the Quarter Finals I'd stand firm on that but I've actually seen a lot of progression in his style and what he brings to the setup. I think we could do a lot worse.
It sort of reminds me of Arsenal with Arsene Wenger (I know, nowhere near the same level of success but just stick with me). The talk was never about sacking him, there was a large section of the fans who felt he should "do the decent thing" and step into a role upstairs.
When you look back on that, you can see what they lost when he did go.
This England side are good, but I don't really think we're littered with generational talents like the French or the Brazilians. And the world class talent we have are young but they have performed well under Southgate. Let's not forget we're relying on the likes of Walker, Shaw, Maguire, Henderson. Top players no doubt who have done well but they're not really in the top echelon
We were the better side but if I had to pick a combined England and France XI, I can't say there's many England players that would make it in.
Lloris
Kounde/Varane/Stones/Hernandez
Tchouameni Rice Bellingham
Mbappe Griezmann
Kane (although close with Giroud)
And not forgetting that doesn't include injured players like Benzema or Kante who would push out Kane and Rice

Tombo got a reaction from DavesaRam in Burton Albion (A) (Sat 10th Dec 2022, 2pm KO)
I agree but not sure "work in progress" is the correct term
Not a lot of progress to be seen. We've got a lot of work to do

We were 7th when Warne arrived and we are 7th now... no signs of progress or improvement with Warne in charge at all.

Tombo got a reaction from Alph in World Cup Qatar
Should we meet Argentina in the final, I think its clear we must utilise long ball play. They absolutely hated it and even after they won the Argentinians were moaning to the media about Van Gaal's tactics in the later stages
I wouldn't want to see us lump it all game as I think it's effectiveness wears off fast if you become predictable, but it's a weapon I think this England side has should we need it

Despite the certainty of the commentary, I thought it was a soft penalty as well. May not be the popular view but lots and lots of referees would shake their head and signal them to "get up". Completely bought and paid for

Two bookable offences in the space of a few seconds. Paredes should have been sent off

I quite liked Messi before this game kicked off. Now this nauseating love-in has finished all that off.
Even the first goal, they showed basically nothing of the finish on replays. Just Messi's pretty decent through ball (Kane had a better one vs Wales for Rashford but the latter failed to score) and then many replays of Messi smugly reacting to his own pass

I had to read this multiple times to try to figure out what point you're making, and I still don't understand. I have no idea why you've brought colour into it
Don't misunderstand me though, thats not an invitation to elaborate. I'd suggest stepping away from the keyboard.
