MM is not a creditor of DCFC

He would have been if he didnt write the loans off wouldn't he? The club would owe him the money therefore being a creditor

Unless of course, director loans to the company are treated differently?

I work in payroll not insolvency, so I don't know ?

Just got back from work, anyone got a quick update rather than reading the last 50 pages?

Still no money from CK (nothing reported anyway)

Rumours CK hasn't paid his employees for two months from his other business, copies of emails to employees on twitter (could be fake I don't know)

Sky reporting any potential owners may struggle to get the money together and saying we could be liquidated

Alan nixon says that's a load of rubbish, sky isn't worth the subscription, cancel it if you have it and listen to him instead

Groundsman have the pitch looking fabulous for next season, if we get there

    No he can't.

I thought he could, in the form as a creditor with everyone else, meaning he'd be owed the biggest chunk leaving less for everyone else?

But he's written his debt off as it stands?

I thought his insurance against us playing elsewhere was that he'd call in his debt if we did that

I personally have the opinion that with all the remedial work that’s been carried out recently, we can see plans are afoot for the up coming new season. Why else would anyone spend the money around the ground and on a new playing surface if we were DOOOOOOMED!
Also the question remains… who has paid for these works?? Can bet your bottom dollar MM hasn’t put his hand in his pocket.

Hate to be negative but I assume they have to carry on "business as usual" until they are told otherwise... I've been in similar positions at work where we've planned things for the future 99% sure that future doesn't exist

So I wouldn't read into that much

That being said, I just can't see us liquidating whilst we have people wanting the club, whatever the time constraints

A few years ago, BBC Derby reported a story about a fan from Norway who'd spent a load of money to travel for a match that was then moved for TV, meaning he couldn't go.

On this forum I questioned how accurate the reported amount of money was. A BBC Radio employee stated categorically on here and on Twitter, naming me in his Tweet that it was the case.

It turned out that the amount was exaggerated by the fan and reported verbatim by Radio Derby, who went on to adjust their figure as the day went on.

It's absolute nonsense that the BBC, or any other news organisation, is careful about the truth of what they report.

Ever since we moved to the Internet of instant news, all news reporting leans towards getting the story out first for clicks rather than spending a few hours validating that information....

I'm not sure what to believe, but no one at the club will know its collapsed yet, so unless he has the info from Q, he's taking a calculated punt on what he thinks will happen, based on the info he has

  6. Maybe I'm wrong but in the long list of things that need to happen, CK transferring the cash is the first of that final stage.

If CK was a tyre kicker, that's where the delay would be and I suspect we'd have heard from Q, saying they were waiting on funds being transferred.

I personally think its safe to assume CK has done his bit, and the delay is all the transferring of that money to other parties and whatever else they need to do.

    Everything will be fine ?

I will just add one bit, it saddens me a little that I feel like some "fans" would rather this fall through just so they can say I told you so.... I get the feeling a few of them will be slightly disappointed at good news. For the most part, this season has pulled everyone together, but it's also shown up a few people for not their opinion, but there attitude with that opinion

  7. So In reality what's the next step assuming it isn't resolved?

Do they let CK try and seal the deal whilst also listening to any other offers (if any are made) now the exclusivity ends?

Did CK actually start funding the club?

Is it clear when the funds run out?

It's just so expected that we get to a deadline and hear nothing, it's so frustrating as fans. I get things take time and we are like clingy partners wanting to know what's going on all the time..... Think most of us just want a resolution now even if it's bad news just so we can process it and move on

Not the ideal era to do a "worst" XI for DCFC - we were pretty good for most of that decade, barring 90/91 and maybe 94/95. I'll be interested to see what people come up with though.

I've just been trying to do it since I posted and it's proving difficult....

Also be good to see which names pop up

The 90's team from the podcast were Arsenal, they were also pretty good through that period. It ended with quite a few unknown (to me anyway) players mentioned

  9. Like lots of players, Roos seems very much a confidence player. I think he is a little more up and down than Allsop, he could turn up one day and have a shocker and be a world beater the next....

Personally I prefer Allsop, he seems less erratic, and more stable. That's not to say he's not without fault!

Adjusting to league one life, one will have to go, and a youngster on less than 1k a week would be best as a reserve, that's my opinion anyway. Roos also needs to think about his career too, and at his age he really needs to be playing first team football

  10. I was listening to a podcast last night (Quickly Kevin will he score, 90's podcast), and a guest had to name his teams worst 90's 11.

Thought it might be fun to see what everyone's here would be!

Your 11, your reasons, your opinions, no right or wrong answers.

Also, anyone into podcasts it's worth a listen I love it, and it brings back childhood memories for me. Some fantastic stories that had me laughing out loud, even the episode dedicated to Forest is worth a listen

that's fair enough, i knew it wouldnt be a popular idea for people in those areas, intentions really are only to create a better look and atmosphere, irrelevant in some parts but the north stand really does like quite poor on tv

i dont have my own seat as you put it, its not feasible or practical as i have my kids on alternate weekends. but i do go to every game. with the kids we sit in the east or north stand and alone or with mates i'd go in the south stand.

do you think the match day experience is as good as it can get, nothing you would change if you could?

Nothing wrong with ideas and suggestions, the forum is all about discussion.

Even if some people don't agree

As a non season ticket holder I think in theory it works, and maybe with less spread you down on employee costs?

Upsetting a good proportion of your fans (who actually go week in week out) isn't a good idea for a new owner though. So whilst it's a good idea, in reality the noise from upset ST holders would drown that out and negate any positive

  12. All this talk to CK's worth.....

Does it really matter? Surely we are just bothered if he has enough money to buy the club?

After that, shouldn't we be sustainable and run within our means? Is that even possible? What changes need to happen for us not to lose money year on year?

I just don't see how a club of our size can't be ran at a profit, if we can't then football really is broken....

  13. So happy for Ravel at the moment, he's settled, feeling loved, and just starting to really find his feet

I really worry for him in particular if Derby go down the drain.

It would be a real shame for him to finally find somewhere he feels at home, for it then to be taken away with liquidation.

If we go down, and Rooney leaves, I really hope he clicks with the next manager, decides to stay, and gets a few good season's under his belt.

Dawkins was decent on a low fee/wage.

Crazy to put him on a list with Josefzoon, Anya and Blackman.

    Dawkins was definitely not mediocre.

And didn’t we get him on a free?

    I realise I'm doing him a deservice

The idea of the thread really was how would these players have done in today's world, without maybe the same expectation, more chances with less competition.

In Dawkins case, maybe he was underappreciated and in today's squad would have been given the chance to flourish more?

  15. Over the last few years we have (rightly) bemoaned the DCFC scouting office. Looking at some of the average underwhelming signings we made under Mels tenure, would some of these faired better, looked better, etc if they'd been bought into the squad this year? I use the term mediocre based on them not being total out and out fan faves

    Simon Dawkins

    Raul Albentosa

    Nick Blackman

    Flo Jozefzoon

    Anya

    Cameron Jerome
