Gone to his boyhood club after a stellar season with us. I very much doubt he’ll hit double figures next season so on a positive note it enables us to sign some younger, hungry strikers. Always best to leave while riding the crest of a wave.

Are we really comparing Bird to Thorne? Wow just wow. I knew some Rams fans were deluded but wow. 
 
I don’t get the hype around goals and assists for CDM’s, deeper lying midfielders who get us playing and keep us ticking over like Thorne did. Thorne was always available for the ball and always received it on the half turn and was progressive. Bird hides and is constantly square on so his only option is back to where it’s come from or the other CB. 
Anyone who disagrees go and look it up on YouTube.

If he signs then great. If he doesn’t then I’m not overly concerned. There will be better options out there I’m sure. Let’s not forget Sibley kept him out the team for a good while. He had a decent end to the season but I’d certainly be wanting an upgrade on him. I don’t think he’s ready for the Championship yet. For me he’d benefit from another season in L1 and establish himself as #1 in his position.

These are holidays that anyone with a half decent job can go on. Dubai isn't the stupid priced destination you think it is unless you are staying in the the famous places. Looks like Cash is in Greece, which is even more average!

B4, you've admitted you don't go abroad, or even have a passport so not sure you're in a great position to compare.
To say flights are £400 each is simply not true, you can go on RyanAir now and buy a flight to Barcelona cheaper than a match ticket at Barnsley.
I spent less going to Magaluf for a week all inclusive than I did to Ilfracombe (Devon) for the same time self catering. Not only that it was a 5hr drive compared to a 2 hour flight.
Also becoming friends with cottage owners in the UK is not a realistic way of saving money. You try ringing an owner through Hoseasons asking if they want to be your friend before booking, let me know how that works out for you.
End of the day, these footballers at Derby are on thousands a week, I'm not sure cost will be a factor when deciding where they want to go on holiday.
Just let the players do what they want, I'm sure you wouldn't like to be told where you have to go. 
If they are in Dubai, Derby or Dagestan really isn't any of your business.
