Sheff Utd detest Forest and vice versa.  They like to incessantly call them scabs and they hate it.  I'm not really clued up enough to say what I'd have done in a situation where your resorting to burning your own furniture to keep warm after months of no pay.  Regardless, the animosity is there and they would be delighted to take them down with them.

In which case he's also solely the reason we've signed Nelson, Nyambe, Adams, yes?
I've not seen many comments crediting him personally for their success this season. Just seems like a desperate stretch to hold what is clearly a complex process that involves multiple parties and use it as a stick to bash Warne with.

You're totally right, 2nd looks horrible now I think about it. God forbid we finish the season in this position! 😂
I like that you wanted to try and insinuate we should be more nuanced than simply observing and drawing conclusions from league position, only to then finish your comment with a personal insult for seemingly no reason haha.

It’s difficult because it’s tempting to lump all the people commenting negatively about Warne into one group which is perhaps unfair.
However, in general it strikes me that everyone comes out so angry and negative when we lose and/or play badly and the amount cognitive bias is insane. We haven’t played that badly in that many games and we have won a number of games quite convincingly this season.

However, it is League 1. The pitches are bad, the players are quite bad (even the better players) and the tactics of a lot of teams are frequently to try and destroy football rather than create nice football.

We have been unable to recruit a replacement for Collins (Gayle hasn’t really had a go yet though) so inevitably that will have an impact. Personally I think we’ve got away with not signing another centre back as well.

From where im standing it seems that, if people took a minute to be remotely rational, they’d realise Warne is doing quite a good job. Not just in terms of league position but even in some performances and the recruitment has been pretty good given the constant contraints.

Of course I have criticisms. The main one is the lack of academy minutes but I’ll give him the benefit this season as the current generation was gutted during admin so that may change in coming years.

Neither of those statements are true, though.
We were after the young Blackburn striker and/or two Premier League youngsters.
We had made an initial enquiry about Smith but he was a ridiculous price so we moved on quickly.
Gregory was offered to us, not the other way round.

I thought we played well in the first half of the Charlton game and deserved our lead which I thought we gave away in the second half through two avoidable errors that came from the build up of not carrying out the basics of the game, passing, composure and decision making which all deteriorated throughout the second half and became frustrating to all of us, players, coaches, chairman, staff, supporters etc. Players becoming sloppy and repeating the same things that gave the ball away and were not benefiting the team.

I’ve mentioned this in other match threads. How many times does NML want to try and pass (nutmeg) a ball through an opposing player when numerous opportunities are given to him to pass the ball earlier, and to a team mate, along the ground, with a clean pass, not bobbling and bouncing, all ending up with the same result every time, possession lost, his team on the back foot and players out of position and NML no longer in possession.

Why does MB over play it, try to play a pass whilst looking in the opposite direction to the man he’s passing too, trying to kid on his opposing player, and then the ball goes behind his team mate and a real good attacking opportunity is wasted. These are a couple of examples of many others that if simplified with effective passing and keeping possession effectively and accurately, well timed passes, like what EC does very regularly and if carried out by all eleven players, are the many small margins that can make the difference in fixtures with positive results.

We won 1-0 away at Charlton with a goal from NML with a good pass from MB and our basics were good that day. And we beat Barnsley 3-0 at home with 2 goals from JC and CF, two players currently missing through injury.

We are not getting beaten by loads currently, it really is small margins, and errors at the moment, that all people make in life. I don’t think formations play much into it, when players are not playing to their full potential and doing the basics to their full potential. Football players can play all over the pitch and should be thankful for the wonderful position and lifestyle they have and should give their all, when out on the pitch.

I do wonder how some folk on here would deal with their loved ones, their family members, when their family members make errors in life, do we stick loyal knowing that are family are good people, do we support them, be there for them, knowing certain set backs can make all of us stronger, do we learn together how to deal with certain situations, stick by each other, offer support, listen and help, watch out for them, and move on together, learning together and hopefully benefiting all involved.

A couple of bad results, 0 points, that could have been 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 points. Time to move on together, regroup and support one another. Paul Warne and all the staff at the club will be learning together to move on and searching for improved performances and results going forwards, we can help by supporting them.

How have you come to this conclusion? From what I've perceived, I believe the exact opposite to be true- Warne is often vocal about what he wants ie. a striker in January. When that's not delivered, how are you coming to the conclusion that he's ''completely responsible'' for our recruitment- surely that proves the exact opposite?

Given the amount of NDAs and secrecy attached to the whole debacle, how do you know this for sure?
By being CEO of the company led into administration, Pearce is complicit in what happened, that's indisputable. The level of complicity is what needs to be established to rebuild trust, but due to NDAs and seemingly sheer unwillingness to even try talk around the issue publicly, we can't even get a handle on his level of involvement.
So you're left with a figure who fans associate with arguably the worst period of this club's history, still in a notable position of power- that leaves a sour taste. Meanwhile trust can't even be started being rebuilt because he can't or won't do anything to alleviate the inherently logical mistrust hanging over him... That's how I see it.

I've always found it weird that people can hate or dislike someone they disagree with on the internet. I blame the government for running down the Pub industry. Back in t'day, these conversations would happen over a table and a beer but everyone was still mates about it. I've had hours of football disagreements with all my mates, especially Liverpool fans! But there's no hatred. People need to grow a backbone and stop being so fecking precious about being "shotdown"... so what if someone thinks you're wrong!!
Ed Dawes is marmite for me. In general, he's a pretty good commentator, and anyone who thinks he isn't, should travel around the country and listen to what some clubs have to put up with. Dawes is very high up on the standard of local radio commentary I can assure you.
He has been guilty of going rogue in commentary a few times, some attempts at "banter" fell flat, albeit the intention was good.

The instinctive nature of the finish was so sharp that I've been genuinely wondering about trying him as a false 9 with NML and CBT either side, a la Liverpool with Firmino... 👀
Outlandish notions aside, I think he's the perfect replacement for the advanced midfield role Bird's currently playing, after Max departs. If we could consistently get Sibley in the gaps between the opposition's midfield and defence, I think he could be a menace going forward for us.

Bradley completed more clearances than any other Derby player, and only Cashin with 11 to Bradley's 9 won more aerial challenges, so whatever he was doing, he did it fairly successfully.
I've watched Bradley wrestling with opposition players and it certainly isn't one way, nor is it generally instigated by him. Perhaps opponents target him because of his height and perceived threat, but he seems to be on the receiving end more than Cash or Nelson.
