If you told me when we were linked in January I'd be quite excited to sign him I'd have laughed, but hes shown something in pre-season, and deserves a chance. 1 year deal on nominal wages we lose nothing, and as I said the other day even if he just turns up for a couple of games it could make all the difference.

Right. I’ve had time to let the disappointment sink in (we’re all used to it now). My positive spin to get us through the weekend… you don’t have to agree.
Weve signed some players to fill out the first team for the first fixtures. A couple of experienced CBs and a goalie who is decent enough back up.
The transfer window is still open for the rest of the month and we have to get this embargo stuff sorted in the next week or 2. Once that is done we are hopefully able to sign more players with less/no restrictions.
These signings aren’t the end of our transfer window, there is still time to add more quality (which we desperately need) in time for the window closing.

Would you take Lawrence being sold if it meant bringing in both Morrison and Aluko as surely that’d guarantee the funds to pay for them? 
 
Personally I would because he’s in his last year of his deal and on big money but sends a weird message selling after making him captain.
