I don't know what Collins has to do, to please some people, there some moaning about his MOM award. He was excellent tonight, he popped up all over the park, including tracking back and not doing any reckless challenges. His first goal was a brilliant reaction to a miss hit shot and I suspect that for his second, he told offside JJ to leave it, so he could finish it. He could have had a further 2 goals with a bit of luck, one hit the keeper and the other beating the keeper, only for it to be cleared off the line.
Similarly, Bradley also had a very good game, his best yet. I've noticed that his best performances have all come in this competition and it could be for a number of reasons, quality of opposition, small crowds reducing pressure on him and also him playing on the left side.
Too many people can't bring themselves to give credit where credit is due, constantly desperately looking for the tiniest thing to justify their point of view.
There were players who, I feel didn't have their best game tonight, but I'll keep that to myself.

Went to RamsTv full 90 & ffwd’ed to 38 minutes when Collo crossed from the left which flew high & wide & a lovely tribute from fans and @Owen87ITK “…a minute’s applause for Daniel Beavis who passed away …known affectionately online as B4 …& you will never meet another more infectiously enthusiastic Derby County supporter, travelled home & away to watch his beloved team & will be sorely misssed by friends & family …& this is a lovely tribute…” <crescendoes of applause & camera pans around showing fans applauding >. Very moving and will live in our memories forever. 🥲

So emotional today, hearing the applause ring out for Daniel. I was very heartened to read that both RamsTV and Radio Derby mentioned him in their commentaries.
    Thanks, @Owen87ITK.
If anyone has either snippet, those of us at the match would love to hear them.
The moon rose over East Stand this evening in his memory.
B4 will live long in our memories. Go well, young man. 🐏⚽️🖤🤍

You don’t need any specialist knowledge. All that is important is a good heart which you must have from sharing genes with B4. Oh and wanting us to win.

I’d also add Daniels excellent understanding of transfer values could be helpful. Deduct a zero if we are buying and add a zero if we are selling. Who need economists and politicians !
We will all miss Daniel so much on here. Funny, passionate, friendly, positive and a Ram of the first order. Hoping he gets a wonderful acknowledgement and Pride Park bounces for him on Saturday ❤️

Until the last week it has been a long time since I had been at a Derby Match. My Dad has said I’ve probably seen some of the best football so far this season. So, this thread is starting with genuine positivity from me, as my brother Daniel (B4) would also have done. This match means so much more to the Beavis family than any result. We want everyone to wave their scraves and flanges (not literally, ladies 🙈) and raise the roof for both DCFC and Daniel. Please share the details of the applause far and wide.
I’m reliably told I need to predict a 3-0 win to Derby.
My dad, Andy and I, will be in the east stand, stairway 35. We’ll be having a drink before the match and at halftime. Please do come and say hello.

As I reflect on this upsetting news and read how it's affected so many I feel that I must let it be known how much my matchday experience will never be the same again. I have sat in the same seat in the East Stand since it was built, together with my wife, and sat right in front for many years was Daniel and his dad. I am a regular reader of this forum but rarely contribute. I do remember when there was much speculation as to who top fan B4 was. It eventually dawned on me that he must have been sat in front all that time. He reluctantly admitted that he was indeed the one and only B4.
I should have known because I had been discussing team selection and tactics every game for years. Half time changes that were always needed were rarely implemented by the manager, who should have known better. Sweets were often handed around and whatever happened on the pitch Daniel's support was unwavering and I sometimes felt ashamed that I couldn't raise my game when things just weren't happening and I had a feeling of impending doom.
It was a shock not to see and hear him yesterday but it was a privilege to have known Daniel.

First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum.
He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through.
I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today.
DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game.
Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss.
    Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

S75 Ram reacted to DavesaRam in There never has been Warne-Ball
Here is an observation to try and make sense of what is going on at the Park of Pride. It is not a statement of fact, but dawned one as I watched the Stevenage v Derby match yesterday.
Stevenage pretty much played what it seems Paul Warne is trying to bring about at Derby, and us much the same as we imagined Rotherham used to play like. The pre-match waffle mentioned a couple times that Warne had served under Steve Evans at Rotherham as the chief “run around a lot” consultant, before becoming manager himself, albeit with another manager being place between Evans and Warne.

As such Warne’s entire coaching experience has bern with a squad full if the Goombah’s needed to carry out Evan’s style of football, the one we saw yesterday. As such, Warne didn’t need to come up with a revolutionary new method, just carry on doing “more of the same”.
Cue Warne’s arrival at Derby where, because overall we try and play football, there were no Goombah’s in the squad. This has completely foxed Paul Warne, turning him into the proverbial Dalek at the foot of a staircase. But instead of trying something different he has gone for “more of the same”, because that is all he knows. But it hadn’t turned our footballers into Goombah’s, just effectively hamstrung them. And what we have been watching is an attempt to bring “Evans-Ball” to Pride Park.
On occasion, as Howard Boss has intimated, we have seen soon some football break out of the straight jacket, but the straps and buttons have soon been done up tight again. But it has also bright about something else. We don’t have the type of player Warne needs at Derby, but he hasn’t been capable of recruiting any either, which then brings into question his recruitment abilities.
It may well mean that we never get the type of football which Warne wants at Derby, and neither will we get the type of football everybody else at Derby would want either. There is a way around this problem, however, …………….

Anyone looking for a decent pub I can reccomend The Chequers Beerhouse in the High Street. They have a good selection of real ales and cask ciders and there will be food trucks outside. It's a 10 minute walk from the station and about 25 minutes to the ground from here. That's where I will be from about 12

It’s hardly supporting the team if fans spend most of the game in the concourse but the real problem is how some behave when they’re in the stand. That’s not telling folk how to be a fan it’s just asking them to behave like a reasonable human being.

I've just returned two tickets for Shrewsbury away and the Club is willing to accept them up to 24 hours' before kick-off. They keep a proper waiting list of people who will benefit. In my case, it's likely to be someone who can get to Pride Park to pick up the tickets at short notice. Unforeseen circumstances, sadly.
But I always think this is better than randomly passing them on Twitter. You've no idea what sort of behaviour might ensue from a fan with a ticket that has your identity on it.

I'm hardly reading the Derby section of the board at the moment - so sick of the bickering, pettiness and in-grained opinions. Most have already made their minds up and just want to reinforce their opinions by repeating the same old crap over and over again.....
We have a League One squad and a League One manager - bitching isn't going to change that....

Will have one final whinge about the amount of just vitriol from the stands.

Teenagers still of school age just F’ing every other word. Bloke behind me wouldn’t stop calling the ball boys lazy C words.

Collins constantly referred to as a lazy txxt- I mean he misses chances but the last thing he can be described as is lazy!

It made a match I was looking forward to quite an unenjoyable experience.

‘you F’ing D*ck McGoldrick - someone kill him’ was another pearl of wisdom.

I know this is probably just me getting old but when I went to away games with my mates at that age it wasn’t like that. You’d give some of the old wrist shakin and middle fingers to the home support and sneak a beer in but it wasn’t a competition for how many times the C word could be used in a match.

Just like 1986 then. When the first goal went in three quarters of the ground leapt up. The dozen or so Forest fans stood to the left of the away end giving it some until then soon disappeared.
