inter politics reacted to B4’s Sister in DCFC Supporters Awards Night
What a brilliant night! Dan (B4) and Angie Vallance received the Alfreton supporters award. I almost missed it as I was in the loo 😂 the glass award is lovely and will have pride of place in my parents house. The players looked visibly touched when it was announced Dan and Angie were being awarded posthumously. It was lovely to see so over 200 people there to celebrate DCFC and those who love the club. I had no idea what to expect but it was amazing. Lovely food and company. I had no idea the players and David Clowes would be there, so that was a lovely surprise.

inter politics got a reaction from Premier ram in Who could continue the journey?
Why are people all or nothing nowadays?
Yes, Hourihane naturally struggles to get around the pitch like he used to and needs the right balance of players around him but has he made an important contribution this season?
8th best for assists in the league. Top ten on chances created. 6 goals (including a brilliant last minute winner against Burton)
Yes, he has made an important contribution.

I’m sick of this debate so once again, I’ll bow out, safe in the knowledge that I’m personally enjoying the team being second in the league, potentially two games away from promotion, record points total for a season, equalled our record away wins and could still beat it, best goal difference in the league as it stands, equal highest number of wins in the league as it stands, loads of set piece goals….theres plenty I’m enjoying and will continue to do so.
You do you friend.

There’s nothing to be fearful about in the Championship and I can’t believe this narrative is already being pushed.
The jump in quality really isn’t that significant, outside of the usual teams we see every year that are leaning on parachute payments to keep their squads together. Even then these teams are nothing close to infallible, especially in one off games.
A third of promoted teams from League 1 in the past five years have not only gone up and consolidated their position but they have competed at the right end of the Championship table, in some cases getting promoted or mightily close.
The teams that usually go up and find their way back to League 1 are the ones without the resources or infrastructure to hold their own.
We are only going to end up like Rotherham, Wycombe, Barnsley, Blackpool, Peterborough and others if we show a serious lack of ambition financially or there is a lack of synergy and effective strategy behind the scenes.
If Clowes, Pearce, Thomas, Hale and Warne are all working well and pulling in the same direction, why is it beyond us to build a competitive squad for the Championship, one that could finish 15-18th in year one, for instance?
No-one stands still and neither will we. Everyone resets. Teams get better. Teams get worse. Managers change. Managers improve. Managers decline.
There are so many variables at play, why would we be fearful now when we can work towards a stronger position over the summer? Such needless negativity when nothing is set in stone.

Defence was as rock solid as ever.
Nelson was quiet really as Cashin attacked the ball defensively and Bradley offensively.
Sibley worked his backside off and was his best game in a long while. Wilson was up and down like an animal and so strong. They made it a back 5 and a back 3 as and when needed.
Smith, Adams and Thompson all-action, scrapping, ratting and running the game.
Collins won a lot of headers and NML without looking especially likely to score or assist (and missed a good chance) was full of beans again.
No poor performances. Got the goals, dictated the game.
Another Warne masterclass when we score early.
Even looked like we may create a goal from open play 2nd half.
We went from a 2/10 performance to a 9/10 in 4 days.
One last big performance next weekend and hopefully we can watch a procession on the last day.
