I'm quite glad we didn't end up signing a RWB that we were apparently looking at as a last arrival, even if no names were actually linked.
Ward and Wilson won't be too far off, especially as we'll have breaks with upcoming international breaks in September and October. Rooney has played well so far and deserves to continue playing. It also makes it more likely for us to go with 4 at the back rather than 5. We are so much better with a 4.

Yep. Like Jeff but always thought he was easily the least effective of the 4 midfielders and the fee we received was a great deal.

The season we essentially sold him, he was very poor, but he had a good Euros and that was enough. Best outgoing transfers we’ve managed to achieve IMO.

Warne said he wanted someone earlier in the window who’s holding out for a move to the champ, could be JCH. Some people have questioned where the money from Bielik and Knight has gone, is it sat in a ram shaped piggy bank (bought with discount from the club shop) on Mr Clowes’ desk with a sticky note marked JCH stuck on the side? Warne said he didn’t have a “Waggy” in his budget, is that because the wages were earmarked for JCH? He’s a former Warne player and there was definite post match neck sniffing on Sat as I observed in the match day thread.
