Why punching above our weight?
We’ll be one of the top six supported clubs, in a fine stadium, pretty fanatical support. Great history.
We’ve had our issues, but so have other clubs. We have a wonderful owner and are on an upwards trajectory.- Derby4Me, Carl Sagan and Patrick Rams

I hate these lists.
One list of the 15 most beautiful cities to visit in the UK actually includes Nottingham, but doesn’t include Chester, my home town.
Chester was recently voted the prettiest city in the WORLD, ahead of Venice.
Derby has plenty to offer, trust me. -
I’m sad. He didn’t concede at the South Stand end after January 1st, and who could forget THAT save v Bolton, to maintain that record.

Surely Forest could cite the fact that they are a two team city, albeit a city with a population 40% bigger than ours?

BTW, I don't whether this has been covered, but Adams goal was wrongly called offside, not that it matters now.
It was wrong on 2 counts, firstly the defenders foot was hanging back and playing Adams onside, a marginal decision, but secondly the defender made a deliberate act to clear Sibo's shot which meant that Adams was onside, this was poor refereeing.
Interesting, because it looks like our second goal was suspect. 🙃

What a relief! Well deserved, I feel. My main concern going into the game was we might fall foul of a bad refereeing decision, which, ironically Sky would confirm.
I shouldn’t have worried. Even the blatant offside for our second goal was ignored. In the end, it didn’t matter, as we could even have lost. I still don’t want VAR. Swings and roundabouts, and all that.
Onwards and upwards! -
The Carlisle forum made a good point. Next season Derby will play teams who have just dropped out of the Premier League, whilst Carlisle will face sides who have just been promoted from non league.
-
That’s a few weeks before I moved to Derby. Didn’t start supporting them til 1987.
Surely the ref should have stopped the game and insisted the fans get back in the stands. -
I wonder if there are any rules to prevent Posh putting out their second string, even U18.

It’s not Derby are a bigger club or anything, is it? 😂

I think that the Derby odds are the bookies being a bit over cautious, it would be interesting to see what our odds are for not making the autos. Remember, we probably need to win one game out of two and that's not a given in this league, as both Cambridge and Carlisle have got results against top teams this season.
So did Leyton Orient. They won 3-0 at Fratton Park. Literally nothing is a given.

Even if Bolton were to win every game and finish on 93 points, which I doubt they will, that means we would only need to win 4 out of 5 which is entirely possible in my opinion. We're in a very strong position. I reckon 3 wins for us will do it now as we have the better goal difference.
Goal difference tends to worsen if you lose a few games, and improve if you win a few. Strange that.

When I saw the line up, I thought, oh no, he’s more worried about losing. Why leave Hourihane on? Or even start him? He’s a passenger.
At the end of the day, it’s no different than losing narrowly to Bolton, and then getting back to winning ways today. -

This is brilliant!
Everyone knows we’re more of an away team. A record equalling 12 wins (so far) attests to that.
it’s about time we had some good fortune. I wouldn’t agree Waghorn ‘handled’ the ball. It brushed between his hand and his leg. Hardly intentional!
If we think back to the Sheffield Wednesday match, last game of the season; a really soft penalty given against Curtis Davies, yet at the same end Fozzy was literally thrown to the ground at a corner. No pen, obviously.
Then the refs blunder at Bolton.
Yes, it is time some things went our way. -
Bolton’s own highlights suggests there was only one team it, as they showed all their chances but only our goal at the end. You wouldn’t think we had a lot more chances than them, with an equal number on target (3).

A bit concerned about what all this never ending rain will do to the pitch. 👀
As regards so called bogey teams; I don’t believe in that. Get into them.
