    Good comments from Rosenior;

    "Why we were really interested in Kwaku is that he has been a captain of Manchester City's youth teams. He is very highly respected there in terms of his character.

    "But also in the style of play that I want to implement here is quite similar, structurally, to the way Manchester City play. Kwaku with his understanding and his development brings a lot of experience in terms of what I am asking the players to do here.

    "He fits in like a glove in terms of that right-back position. When we talk about developing players, that area is somewhere I want to strengthen with a more senior player, but the idea for Kwaku is to develop, learn and grow and become of huge value to the football club. I am delighted he has joined."

    Man city play with the full back tucking into midfield, very similar to what we saw with Byrne last season

  3. We do tend to defend in a 4-4-2

    The number 10 and wingers will push up when the opposition has the ball in there defence, more of a 4-2-4 tbh.

    You could see Knight doing it on Saturday, was in line with Sibley when out of possession

    Hourihane spent most of last season playing 343 and 352 the season before.

    When Villa where in the Championship, he would often play as the deepest CM in their 433

    That surprises me give the criticism of his movement/pace, happy to be proven wrong

  5. I was thinking 3-4-3 but I don't think you can use Hourihane in it, and I expect him to be pretty key for us

    Most modern 4-2-3-1s are basically 4-3-3s so its a bit academic, but it will probably be one of them depending on midfield roles.

    You don't really get classic number 10s any more, most play more like 8s just higher meaning it's really just 4-3-3.

    Main difference is if you have one CDM you think you can trust or need two to be confident, I expect we'll go Bird + Thompson for most games and hopefully bring in a bit of experienced cover
