So you’re saying someone that’s a season ticket holder but had not been to a single away game all season had the same right to a ticket for Blackpool for the last away game as someone that had been to every other away game, right.

Yes exactly that. First come first served

Supprising that this hasn't been sorted out yet. I thought Curtis would have been one of the first to be sorted. Wonder what the actual issue is.

There are 2 things it can be. 1. The amount of money and 2. The length of contract. It would appear that the club are only willing to offer 1 year contracts for players of that age and a bit younger. So my guess is Curtis probably thinks he deserves a 2 year contract. Secondly it’s possible that other clubs have offered more money and/or 2 years. So whilst Curtis would almost certainly much rather stay if we can match or get reasonably close to what’s available elsewhere at the moment we clearly haven’t and the negotiations are about getting a better offer from us. My view is that we should go so far but not break the bank. We need to move on and we clearly can

  3. Thats amazing. I have very sadly been counting up the available seats and putting them on a spreadsheet. Its very quick to do to be fair and at 2.30pm today it was 8353. Just done it again at 8.30pm and it is now 8103. This means that this afternoon we have sold 250 new season tickets over and above renewals. It would be interesting to know how many new ones we sold yesterday but its surely at least that so 500 new ones in 2 days. That would suggest we are on course to sell way more season tickets than we did last season

My two tickets are now renewed, tried to get my lad one next to us but it's currently taken despite being empty for the whole season. Hopefully it's just a random season ticket (single seat, 7 seats vacant next to it) that was forgotten about and not renewed this season. Can't wait for the new season, bring it on!

Just move you and your lad into those 7 seats. Easy to do online

You can hopefully see my point though.

Need another DOF like a hole in the head IMHO.

Evans wasn't a director of football he was just a scout who helped out with deals. A director of football doesn't report to the manager its the other way round. I think if we are going with Rosenior a proper DOF would be a good idea, but someone who is older and has been a manager such as Mick McCarthy. Rosenior could then appoint another young coach to work with him. I think that would work better than having an older more experienced coach working under Rosenior

If we start the season with a midfield of Bielik, Bird and Knight for options we should be fine.

Hopefully Sibley gets a run in League One and really shows his potential.

Buchanan and Byrne as fullbacks will be one of the strongest in the league. Cashin will be top quality too.

We needed new wide players and in Bark and Mendez-Laing they are hopefully hungry enough to prove a point. I’d still be looking to strengthen this area and upfront too.

But we have a base now.

League One is a funny league. Ipswich were disappointing last season yet still hit 70 points. It’s almost a league of two with former PL/Champ clubs like Bolton, Ipswich, Sheff Wed, Barnsley, Charlton and then a bunch of much smaller clubs like Fleetwood, Morecombe, Accrington.

Our current best XI is easily top half standard in League One. Assuming we bulk out the squad, anything less than 70 points would be disappointing in my eyes.

I hope we will have Buchanan, Byrne, Bielik, Bird and Knight but it’s a bit optimistic to think we will have all of them don’t you think?

Derby fans never cease to amaze me. 21 year old who has represented England at U19, U20 and U21 level, and he’s not considered good enough by many for our forthcoming season in League 1. I do hope we can hold onto him, and he matures into a quality defender for us over the next few years along with Cashin.

I think its just that people see him as disloyal. Unfortunately fans don't get it that players are in it for the money, they do have loyalty to a degree but not like fans do

He might, But not knowing the intricacies of this debacle I'm guessing and only guessing mind Pete, That if Stretford loaned the money to the yank and the yank passed it onto the payer ie Q, Then surely the loanee who loaned the money to the yank to pay the said wages then he should go after them.

The bank loaned me £1000, I loaned it to you, I fail to pay the loan to the bank...you'd better not have spent it Pete coz they're coming after you.

Your last bit aint right Alf, sure as god made little green apples in the scenario the bank will be coming after YOU

what does surprise me is that it seems EFL will have had knowledge of intentions for a while and they haven't tipped off Sky/Sun/Nixon/DailyMail/Percy etc

Which makes you think it wasn't the EFL leaking all along but somebody else. There are 3 possibles, EFL, Quantuma or whoever is interested in bidding. The first two are constants yet there was no leak this time. Mmm

Firstly, and most importantly, sorry to hear about your grandmother. Sending best wishes to you and your family.

Secondly, I was exactly the same. I believe this whole saga has taken a massive toll on the fan base, possibly more than we’d ever know. Constantly checking on here for updates as well as other social media outlets. False dawns, the lowest of the low points.

I said earlier this year that Derby County should be the source of release for its fans. A happy place where we can go and forget our daily battles and for 90mins on a Saturday afternoon just enjoy watching our team play. Since admin and even more so since the end of the season this hasn’t been the case, infact it has been the polar opposite. The anxiety and stress that we have had to endure through the issues and fear of liquidation on top of any other factors going on has been a nightmare.

One glimmer of light that has come out of this is how the fans have stood shoulder to shoulder with each other and the club, the way this forum has helped members through this whole mess.

I do hope this is rock bottom and we can now move forward and get back to enjoying just been football fans.

    ????

I think that whilst you are right that its taken a massive toll on the fanbase, the upside of that will be that the support for the club will be strengthened. There will be a huge boost of momentum from it.  We could really ride a wave next season

That's great, but if Rooney wants us to play a similar kind of system as last season then being in the right place at the right time isn't enough. We need someone with a bit more presence to press defenders, receive the ball and hold it for long enough to bring other people in to the game.

A poacher is only half of what we need a striker to be in that sort of system.

A 30 year old Steve Howard is what we need
