Can you show me where these fans are please? Because I'm yet to see anyone on here have that attitude.
I'm assuming Twitter/X or Facebook pages, but I really don't like using opinions from places where there's such a depravity of wit as the basis for an argument on a standalone forum.
Probably similar to the ones who think we have the biggest budget in the league - which inevitably feeds some of the inflated expectations and kneejerk guff we see on here.

Not the best budget in the league, but very unlikely to be anything below the top 6 overall.
Right, so you agree with me then, when I point out that it's never been claimed to be the case.

Clowes will always have my love for saving the club. but yes he can be criticised: he's not jesus.
He talked about stability and has a long term view rather than a MM style 'bust the budget and go for it gamble'....the infrastructure stuff he has done at the club sound great. experienced manager, experienced head of recruitment etc...
The facts are we now have this all in place. we apparently had the highest budget in the league,
Nobody has ever said that.

You asked for thoughts, well here’s mine:
That this is a classless and frankly disrespectful topic about a man who reluctantly stepped in and saved our club when nobody else would.
So, unless he’s deliberately done something which has harmed the club or risked our future (financially or with the EFL) then yes, he’s blameless. IMO.

According to my sauce, there is a lady at B&M Spondon called Beryl, if you head there on a Saturday between 9am and 12 she will show you her baps for 4 quid.
That's why Wilko has gone into admin.

Hourinhane, Mendez Laing, McGoldrick, Barkhuizen, retaining Knight and Sibley. Lets be honest, most teams bar a couple at this level would've s*** their pants with joy at having that lot in their first 11 on opening day and that couple would've taken a few for their squad happily.
That may be so but I'm pretty sure I remember the expectations poll for last season didn't have the majority saying we should be achieving at least top 6.

Hmmm
History suggests he knew how to get Rotherham out of the league, but that doesn't necessarily mean it shows he knows how to get Derby out of it.
History only shows that in his one attempt so far to get Derby out of the league, he failed. He took a team which should have been capable of finishing in the top 6 and finished 7th, missing out by a solitary point.
OK & while I agree with the first bit, your whole argument is based on the bit in bold which, IMO at least, suggests that your expectations from last season were on the high side, given that we had a wafer thin, aging and makeshift squad with no RB (for example).

So you defend an accusation by saying I haven't got time to prove it but I think it will happen one day.
The Daily Mail school of football discussion.
I was so fed up, I did scroll through, there was no one, then one poster later did say it.
Do you think the poster called WarneOut (deliberately not tagged them) could be another?.
Either that or they're just so tired, they can't spell properly.

I love a conspiracy but good grief, it's a stretch to take an admittedly inappropriate rambling brain-dump of a rant and make it out to be some manipulative master-plan.
-
It does amuse me that there are a band of posters who literally only appear when we're losing/not playing well.
I don't know if they're fans or just WUM's but it seems you can post whatever alarmist accusations and BS you like, as long as you then add "I hope I'm worng" somewhere in there.

That's a bit depressing that even the best are only just over half the population trust the police.
I've had barely any interaction with them, myself, but that nice Inspector Barnaby from the telly seems a lovely chap. I wonder why he changed his name from Bergerac?.
Probably a Brexit thing.

From what I heard in the interview Warne pretty much threw the players under the bus.
He did nothing of the sort.
It was a mistake of his to decide to go on a long, unstructured & rambling rant where he shared openly every thought in his head at that moment in time.
However, the point he kept coming back to is that it's his responsibility.

Can someone explain to me why we are still bookies favorites to win League 1?
The performances so far certainly dont suggest it. Everybody suggesting we need time to gel but then so do other teams. Lots suggesting we are short on strikers and midfielders. Others saying we have no money to change things because we are still under the EFL sanctions.
So why are we favorites. I don't understand.
Bookies odds = amount of money wagered on the team.
Bookies odds do not = probability of the team winning

What’s living in Derby like?
No idea. Never lived there.

It is an awful case but "still" = 20 years ago?
We can only hope that things have changed in that time.

It was ok for a day, but imagine living there for a year. Gadzooks
I spent 9 months there in 1991/2, while studying at Lancaster University.
Generally very grim. Living there from September-June, what was there, was closed (out-of-season).
I've been back once since, for a reunion with a few old Uni mates & while it has improved a bit, it's still depressing.

The Unholy (Netflix)
QuoteA hearing-impaired girl is visited by the Virgin Mary and can suddenly hear, speak, and heal the sick. As people flock to witness her miracles, terrifying events unfold. Are they the work of the Virgin Mary or something much more sinister?
Some of the CGI effects aren't great but it's a fairly entertaining adaptation of a James Herbert novel.

Theres too many people making million and billions out of oil and energy for it to stop.
Too many people in power (all over the world) have their fingers in the pie
you also have developing nations who are at the mercy of the dollar desperately trying to fashion a place for themselves in the world economic system that rely heavily on production. We cant really argue as a developed nation we like others have had our indistrial period, theyre having theres and playing catch up
i dont see how it stops tbh
In danger of crossing the streams here but have you seen the carbon footprint of crypto?
A 2022 report, titled Revisiting Bitcoin’s Carbon Footprint, conducted by climate and economics researchers across Europe estimates that “Bitcoin mining may be responsible for 65.4 megatonnes of CO2 per year … which is comparable to country-level emissions in Greece (56.6 megatonnes in 2019).”
