I hope that Parry is worried that we are going to take legal action against him and/or the EFL for restriction of practice. Once they had pulled the trigger about our accountancy practices, they took months and months before taking the next step, so we were effectively on hold as a club for ages. They broke their own rules and processes, got Gibson to make a spurious claim against us so that he didn't take the EFL to court, then refused to have the claim heard in a proper court of law. The court wouldn't have even entertained the case, then the EFL sat on the fence about whether his claim was a football or non-football claim until the transfer window was over, which meant we lost two key players, effectively consigning us to relegation. And ironically the rule which we were supposed to have broken with the amortisation method we used didn't actually exist in the EFL rule book until February 2022 - years after the "offence" was supposed to have happened.
The whole case could have been dealt with in a matter of months, instead of the years it dragged on for, during which time we were heavily restricted in how we could operate. There are probably reasons why we can't pursue the claim, but boy wouldn't it blow the EFL into smithereens?

Wait til Ipswich , Barnsley and co strengthen in January and we are not allowed to.  We have had a 21 points deduction and got relegated (just) as a result. Hell's teeth how much punishment do we need? As for EFL playing a straight bat , that made me fall off my chair.

We were in embargo during the following periods due to being suspected of failing P&S:
    04/05/18-03/07/18, 06/03/19-11/07/19, early (March?) 2020-22/09/2021
24 months of embargoes simply because no one could agree to whether we were using an acceptable policy or not. Not only that, but the EFL's CFO was happy with the accounts, then later, following a verbal discussion to go over the policy, stated he was content with it and pointed out it was the club's risk with loading values towards the end of contracts. The knock on effect of that was making it harder for MM to sell the club to someone else.
Our HMRC bill was built up over a maximum of 2 years. It was allowed to go on for so long due to Covid laws which prevented HMRC chasing it.
On debt in general, there are at least 6 Championship clubs who over over £100m to various parties.
Wigan were in administration and suffered relegation due to the points deduction. The transfer window after exiting administration, they spent £700k on one player. Roughly equivalent to 10% of their L1 revenue. Did anyone get enraged about that?

Does it? Name another club who has been punished as much as us?
Other clubs have had points deductions in two consecutive seasons, but didn't have anywhere near the restrictions on signing players as we have.
QPR were fined £42m, but part of that included wiping out owner debt, and still gave them a season in the PL and the money that comes with it.

The EFL won't necessarily have an incentive to allow any leeway to DCFC if The Rams' are bettering their financial performance predictions.
Indeed, if Derby do get promotion, what better than to defer any relaxations on the (now 4-year) embargoes we've had to negotiate?
That might suit a certain Boro parasite sitting on the EFL board, seeing DCFC struggle - or even get relegated straight away again with a weak squad - I'm a cynic and don't expect such people to turn a hair if Derby's recovery is prolonged.
Of course, DCFC would still be pulling in 25,000+ so we'd still be a good advert for the EFL whatever division we are in.

I think we’re in the minority but I agree with you.  Unfortunately, as with a lot of things in the modern game, the ‘lashing out’ (or in other circumstances ‘raising hands’ or ‘making contact’) is now just accepted as being a sending off offence, without really considering the severity of the offence (a bit of a waft with his leg, very little contact, theatrical falling down, the poor soul who got touched being a whiny little git who was at it for the whole game) or the context (in this case being pulled to the ground and thus provoked - albeit not severely ). Yes it was petulant, yes a talking to, maybe a booking, but a sending off? Not for me.

I know there’s a lot of moral superiority about this type of thing, but in the great scheme of things it was very minor. Indeed, I sit parallel to it in the east stand and probably had one of the best views of the incident in the ground and I thought nothing of it.
I realise I’m biased, but this was hardly the crime of the century and I’ve seen far worse happen without a red card being shown.

On the subject of linesmen, and the massive offside missed just before their first goal : The lino below the east stand had the sun in his face and was running the line trying to shield his eyes with one hand. He looked like a sailor on lookout in a gender fluid farce. The PV right wing was about 4 yards offside.
Why would linesmen not be issued with baseball caps so that they have a chance of doing their job when this happens? And if they don’t have one, why wouldn’t they just ask someone - anyone - for one ?

My efforts with documenting and preserving the history of our club through its shirts have been acknowledged and rewarded by the kind gift from the club of the number 9 shirt as worn by James Collins through the pre season games when we were without our new seasons kit, depicting Derby as a United City and football club, it was nice to be rewarded but even better for the club to recognise the longer term purpose of the collection.

I really do think moderators, that this thread should be re-titled "Notts Forest Premier League Misadventure"
It's no longer an adventure, it's a nightmare!
It's all a master plan; Marinakos sacked the ex-Huddersfield coach Corboran from Olympiakos recently after only 11 games; he could send him in to Nothingham, to replace Cooper, and avoid a pay-off at the Greek club.
Cooper? Well, it's obvious - he goes to Olympiakos for the same reason.
When both coaches c*** it up again at their 'new' clubs, Marinakos can postpone the ultimate pay-offs to finally get rid of them both - unless he sells up his football clubs, and leaves someone else to bite the bullet!
    Works for me!

It's karma for those among their fanbase who claimed that we were paying for their successful promotion campaign last season. If only Gibson had spent more time scrutinising Boro's signings than trying to put us out of business....

Fully expect Gibson to issue a legal challenge to our appointment of Paul Warne given our business plan restrictions. The fact we were able to appoint him before Boro had the chance to sack Wilder and do it themselves is an obvious breach of a regulation that Gibson has just invented in his own mind and will now impose upon the EFL.

For me, style is irrelevant, results are needed to get out this league. Tapping it around at the back and getting 80% possession but scoring less than Burton isn't going to get us promotion imo. All those moaning about Rowettball, would 100% take that if we were constantly winning games and achieved promotion, anyone who says otherwise is a liar and just being awkward to stand by their silly opinions ?
