And honestly, if anyone can explain to me what they think Rosenior got wrong to make them think he needs the sack, I'm all ears.
Can't believe I'm hearing calls like that this early on. Its as if none of you have ever actually watched football before this season

Feel some of the stick for collins is harsh, he battled well and got in good positions. If he does that every game and we provide the same service I’m sure he’ll start bagging.

Positives there for sure though! Bird and NML looked excellent and i thought we got the balance of being direct and when to play shorter/more patient much better. We play like that and start being more clinical we’ll have a great chance of being up there!?

Wildsmith. 6. 2 good saves. Distribution good.
Knight. 8 Another top game. Fluffed a clear goal by heading wide.
Davies.  7 Dominant but a couple of stray passes when not under pressure.
Cashin. 5. A couple of shakey moments almost cost.
Roberts. 6. Good game but got done by their rangey winger twice.
Smith. 5. Fitness? Lightweight for me.
Bird. 8. Vg game. Pulled the strings.
    Hourihane.6. Some sublime balls in.
    Mendez-Laing. 8 MOTM. Constant threat.
Barkheuizen. 6. Contributing but not outstanding.
Collins. 8. Bossed their centre backs with battling play. Should have scored 2.
    Subs:
Sibley. 8. Great cutting edge from the bench.
Dobbin. 7. Showed some impressive stuff. Looks classy and has bags to contribute.
    Forsyth. 6. Assured.

I missed most of the first half because we threw a birthday barbecue for my daughter's partner. He is 30 today, and has never had a birthday party before in his life, so we did the only thing to do in that situation.  When they went home I waved goodbye through the front window as i struggled to put Rams TV on. I has to buy tickets to Tokyo first! And what I saw as two Derby players having to get treatment, Charlton miss an absolute sitter and Collins hit the post. Then it was half time. I love the comments on here about us playing them off the park, but not scoring, but am baffled by the doom merchants. Second half was disappointingly different, but knew it would be - if Charlton didn't get a boot up the backside, their manager needs sacking.
We actually played some really good football, which was a big improvement on last year's away offerings. Like many I used to think that Rosenior was the brains behind Rooney's achievements last season, but judging by our different approach I now have my doubts. As many have said the fact is that we are now creating chances, and we outplayed the home team, something we almost diligently avoided doing last year. And yes we did miss some sitters - if Collins had hit the ball straight on and straight ahead it would have broken the net and the keeper wouldn't have seen it. Instead he went with the outside of his boot, presumably thinking a straight belter was expected. Ho hum. And Knights miss - any other time that was a goal. But we also had a world class save and we hit the post.
And the striker we so obviously miss was actually on the pitch for a lot of the second half. Young dobbin looks a good acquisition - he played well in the build up, and was there or thereabouts several times, but the ball just didn't quite arrive or fall for him. But he may well move things forwards for us. Bird has clearly stepped up a level or two since last season (although you could say it is because League 1 is a lower level, so he ought to look good!), but let's go with the "he's improved since last year", its much more positive! And my mate Sibley upped the ante yet again when he got on. I assume that Rosenior sees him as an impact player, but that's two games he has changed on arrival. Ho hum. Could he do more if he starts and plays in his best position? Dunno. That's why Rosenior manages a football team and I drive a lorry!
I'm not worried because there is a noticeable improvement to our play, and to our approach to the game, and with time for full fitness, and full integration of the squad, and the arrival of the final pieces for the team and we will be fine.

The short trainride to Charlton from London Bridge after food and drink around Borough Market is what I'd recommend and these are all good venues. London Branch is drinking in the Mudlark which is another one nearby. I like The Old Thameside Inn by the river (mentioned by @Foreveram and with some lovely pies) so will probably end up there. If everyone's fit my team would be:
    Wildsmith
    Knight       Davies       Cashin       Roberts
    Bird
    Mendez-Liang     Sibley     Hourihane     Barkhuizen
    Collins
Sibs: Loach  Oduroh  Chester  Forsyth  Smith  Stretton  McGoldrick
    Thompson and Stearman miss out.
I suspect Rosenior will have Smith in for Sibley.

100%, I’d be fairly excited to see how Rosenior gets on. No idea if it’d be a success but he’s been around the club, talks very well about the game and is something different from the usual lower league suspects i guess

I just think he came back after his hols to be told by the administrators that he couldn't sign any players as we're still in administration and all his plans and hard work talking to players over the summer were blown away in that moment.
He probably decided there and then he didn't need another season of that sort of s*** and quit on the spot.
I don't blame him and all this talk of Dyche and tried and trusted League One managers is all just the same. Who is going to come here under the circumstances?
Some of you need a reality check.

Non-fiction not as much my area as fiction but would highly recommend the secret race -despite not having a huge passion for cycling- and Bill Bryson’s travel diaries are hilarious

Disappointing to see the Wayne rant, I thought the replay didn't show enough for the Festy foul. Putting aside everything happening off the pitch, we only have ourselves to blame for last night. Dominated possession all game and created 1 clear cut chance. Not good enough. We’re in a hole and the only way out is bravery (which we’re not short of) to get your head up and play the ball forward or run at your man at times. Too many occasions yesterday where Plange is through if we play it, we’re on the edge of the box and refuse to hit it or we’ve got a fullback/winger in a one-on-one and we’ve come backwards. Need to do better if we’re to stay up.

Agree with this totally ….it’s also noticeable that as soon as the ball gets to Ravel he slows it down too much and any impetus is lost but he’s not alone it’s far too slow and we let teams get back into shape…not creative enough and don’t get enough players into the box for me

I didn't think the ref was that bad last night. Bar missing the most obvious foul in the world on Davies.
I didn't think it was a foul on Ebosele. There was a pass on inside but as per he dallied on it, lost the ball and rather desperately went down like he'd been shot.
Davies and their striker were both at it before the ball came in and he got the better of him.
We've lost the last 2 away games 1-0 and have had a combined 2 shots on targets in those games.
If you do that you won't win.
    We just aren't good enough.

The main reason we lost yesterday was the fact that we had only 1 shot on target. Lots of possession, pretty passing but no end product. Nothing to do with refereeing.
