OoooMarkWright got a reaction from Anon in Worst 90's 11
In the few times I saw him, Solis actually looked very capable

GK - all generally OK. Steve Sutton wasn’t great, but not bad.
DF: Alex Watson on loan from Liverpool. Simon Webster - terrible.
MF: Harkes, Pickering, Ian Wilson - so old he could hardly move. Glyn Hodges was a bit porky too!
Att: All ok. Beck terrible.

I’ve met him a couple of times and what a guy he is. The way he’s used his story is great and warns of the potential dangers for young pros coming through. I went to his testimonial at Chesterfield and he still had a wand of a left foot.

Shinner - Shane Nicholson.
If anyone hasn’t watched his RamsTV Meets interview yet, watch it. Brilliant.

OoooMarkWright got a reaction from Carl Sagan in 90s POTY
Shilton had a blinder for England vs Sweden/Poland to help us qualify for Italia 90. Not a patch on Mark Wright though!

Has anyone seen the BBC Derby Sport votes for the best players of the last 50 years? It goes through the player of the year in each decade.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/60757198.amp
Looking at the 90s choices - it’s agreed these were exciting times. Yet looking at the the POTY awards you wouldn’t think it. How did Stimac, Wanchope, Sturrridge, Asanovic etc miss out? One of our better time periods and Derby fans choose Powell, Laursen and Dean Yates as our best players. Don’t get me wrong, they were good players, but looking back, it’s a bit beige considering the football we played in this period. Why is this?

Paul Parker??
Best memory is Saunders roasting him from inside his half and leaving him for dead before burying it. And deflecting the goal past Shilton in Italia 90. Good full back.

Socks down - what a strike vs Newcastle at home!

I agree. Poom’s the best keeper I’ve seen for Derby, class!
Shilton was a great and still had some great games for Derby but was past his best. It made me laugh watching him take goal kicks, it was like an U10s game, he struggled to kick it further than about 40 yards, regularly failing to make the centre circle!

OoooMarkWright got a reaction from Jimbo Ram in Who stays?
Absolutely no chance of that being our squad next season I’m afraid. And if it is, that back 3 is poor! Bielik is wasted at the back, especially as a right sided CB. No centre forward again? It’d be a long season. It’s a no from me

Nothing new in this article. As you say, it’s all taken from CK’s tweets. Says 5 players under contract are Bird, Sibley, Knight, Stratton and Bielik. Buchanan to leave as his extension trigger has passed.
Nowt new to report though. The Athletics coverage of Derby has gone downhill since Conway left. I’ll be cancelling my subscription, there’s nothing in there anymore.

OoooMarkWright reacted to Bris Vegas in Adventures of Sloth, Jon Moss and their band of Merry men.
Reminds of that season where Newcastle and Brighton were in the top two all season and never had any competition.
And the playoffs were just made up of random teams(that season being Reading, Huddersfield, Sheff Wed and Fulham).
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Sheffield United make it. But Huddersfield, Forest and Blackburn were bottom half last season while Luton and Boro were midtable.
The only one I genuinely saw having a decent shot was QPR as they got close last season but looks like they’ve fallen away.
Forest have a huge chance.
