Nope, not lost any of the freedoms I've always had. Every shop owner, event organiser and business has had the right to stipulate the rules we have to comply with, before we are allowed to enter their premises. So once again, what freedoms I'm I losing?
Tell me that these same shops and businesses may be losing their rights to stipulate who can and can not enter their establishment, then you may have a case. But losing my freedoms, once again no.

So we are being asked to show proof that we have been vaccinated or had a negative result from a resent covid test, before we are allowed enter certain events. But apparently by doing this simple task, we are now being told that this is an attack on our personal freedoms.
Would someone care to explain exactly what freedoms I'll be losing.
I know I've lost the freedom to live and move around many European countries. But that was lost due to a public vote a few years back, over the colour of a UK passport. So maybe we need a vote regarding covid passports.
And the result would give us our lose us which freedom?

It seems like only yesterday that the English F.A we’re forcing the Rams to field a team of schoolboys to play our F.A Cup fixture v Chorley, after the club had a serious Covid 19 outbreak. UEFA have agreed to cancel tomorrow nights fixture v Rennes, and their game against Brighton on Sunday is under review. Haven’t they got a youth team ??

Don't worry about it. I hear a mate of Dominic Raab as said can supply everyone with as much piss as they need. All for the measly price £10,000 per litre but the delivery times will be dependent on how much Champagne he and his friends can drink.

No mate, your vaccine QR code has to update every few days, so you would have to keep giving the club your new code. I’d imagine they expire because your immunity is not permanent, if you missed a booster you’d be classed as unvaccinated so they can’t just hand out indefinite Covid passes.

1of4 got a reaction from Derby4Me in Would our current squad challenge for promotion from League One?
As good as our OAPs  have been playing in the defence, we'll need to replace them come next season.
So them and a couple of strikers, will be the minimum we'll need to add to our current squad.

1of4 got a reaction from Crewton in Should Rooney be doing better under the current circumstances?
The first thing that needs to be answered is what were the expectations for this squad at the start of this season and are they achieving them. We knew that due to the restrictions imposed upon us, that the make up of the squad wasn't what Rooney was hoping for and we wouldn't be pushing for a promotion place.
Discounting the 21 points deduction we'd be just outside the relegation zone, which is probably where many supporters expected to be.
So if this was our expectations. Then should Rooney be doing better? Probably not.

You remind me of my infants when doing collage work in art. I'd put a huge collection of materials on the table and they would grab handfuls like greedy magpies. It was absolutely useless to tell them that more is less! Still, they had lots of fun, which is probably more than you would have with your fantasy nut roast!! Probably just as messy though! ? If you do try it, hope it stays down before the Queen's Message.?

Indeed - although masks in crowded venues are no hardship and are proved to help, so they are not pointless. That's the ONLY thing I have argued for in the last 12 months (although people with selective memories will tell you otherwise).

The point of the vaccine is as you have said yourself, it give you a level of protection that gives you a better chance of not dying or becoming seriously ill if you catch covid. Unfortunately some people even after being vaccinated can still become seriously ill if they get the virus.
As for masks. Hopefully with the work being carried out by the world's scientists, we will beat this virus, so we won't be having to wear a mask for ever.  But until that day arrives, then wearing of masks still needs to be followed in areas like shops, were the ventilation is poor and the footfall high.
I don't want or like the mandatory wearing of masks. I'd like to think that people will use common sense in deciding when they should wear a mask. But unfortunately we have a large number of people lacking any sense and more sadly any empathy for their fellow citizens.

Fully agree the more tools, from vaccines to masks, we have available to defeat this virus the better.
I don't understand your reluctance to wear a mask. A mask isn't just primarily a protection for the wearer, it also protects those around them. Just like when a person sneezes, they hold a tissue or handkerchief to their mouth and nose, not for their own benefit but to stop spreading germs to those nearby.   So while you may be happy, after being vaccinated, that you could survive catching covid. There may be other around you, who are also vaccinated but may not survive as well as you, if they contract the virus.
